Posted from Eve player û Devilsspawn:
A few weeks ago, I was given access to an account that was purchased by a corpmate for RL cash. He paid $1000 for it from a friend. The account had 30B in liquid ISK, a Nyx fully fit, as well as an Ark and other miscellaneous items.
I was enraged at the fact that this guy has been selling things for RL cash using the site ôplayerauctions.comö. KIA corp has been doing this for a long time as well, namely KIAEddz.
The owner of the newly purchased account, weÆll call him paul for now. Paul used the 30B on the account to buy an Erebus from KIAEddz (his long time friend and former CEO) since 30B is about the build cost of an erebus. The pilot that was sitting in the Nyx, also had perfect titan skills. So the Nyx was moved onto a holding character while it was put up for sale at playerauctions.com for $650. The price and fit has since been changed on playerauctions.com because the fit was takne off the Nyx and placed on the erebus. Here is a link to the sale http://www.playerauctions.com/offer/wts-nyx-38307339/ I know it is this thread because the Nyx being sold had 2xT2 trimarks, and one T2 CCC, and not many NyxÆs would have those rigs that way. Most are 3x T2 trimarks.. Anyway, back to my point.
After the Nyx was moved off the titan pilot, it could now pilot the Erebus. The transfer was made, and the erebus was moved to our low sec staging POS where it would be fit and fueled. Listening to Paul on teamspeak made me sick. Having to listen to him over and over bragging about how he is better than us because he owns a titan. I got fed up with it. I had the account info, so I purchased an erebus pilot, and contacted an old friend to hold the Nyx. That night, as soon as paul logged off, I logged the titan and Nyx in, and transferred them off to the newly purchased titan holder, and my old friend. They were to be sold for ISK.
In order for him not to suspect me, I had to act like I had no idea what was going on, and give him reason to think someone else stole the titan. I came up with a story about not being home that night, and whatnot. I had 2 of my in game friends corroborate my story, and he took it. Paul didnÆt think it was me. He was under the impression CCP took his titan and Nyx because of his RMTing. They filed a petition anyway, and contacted GM **** û here is where it goes wrong.
KIAEddz got involved in the petition because he supposedly has a personal relationship with GM ****, and other higher upÆs in CCP. GM **** decided to help them in getting the ships back. After a few hours of looking into the situation, temporary suspensions were placed on the accounts currently holding the Erebus and Nyx, and emails were sent in an attempt to get a clear picture of what happened. Meanwhile, Paul, the original account owner, and KIAEddz supposedly told GM **** that the account had been shared, and that 3 people had access to it. GM **** agreed seeing 3 different IPÆs logging into the account, one of which was mine. My main account hadnÆt been touched, nor had I received any correspondance with CCP up until today.
This morning, I awoke to find 4 new emails. Half expecting this to happen, I chuckled and proceeded to open the emails entitled ö EVE Online Account Suspensionö and here is what followed:

This was the same accross both emails I received from CCP about this incident. The only line relevant to me, is ôObtaining unauthorized access to anotherÆs EVE Online account or account informationö however, I DID receive authorization to use the account. I WAS authorized by the account owner to use the accounts.
Meanwhile, Paul, KIAEddz, and the original account owner are getting away unscathed. They are the ones that should be banned. They gave me the information to the account, which is pretty much saying ôyou have access to this account as if it were your own.ö. They are the ones RMTing ships and getting away with it. They CLEARLY broke the EULA by giving the information out.
EULA excerpt û ôYou will be asked to select a password during the registration process (ôPasswordö). You may not disclose your Password to anyone or allow anyone to use your Password to access the System or play EVE. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Password and for any damage, harm, lost or deleted characters, etc. resulting from your disclosure, or allowing the disclosure, of any Password, or from use by any person of your Password. You may not obtain, attempt to obtain, use or attempt to use the password of anyone else. You are responsible for remembering your Account information and Password.
You will be assigned a login name and a character name during the registration and character creation process. You may not allow anyone to use your login name or character name to access the System or play EVE. No player may use the character name of another player to impersonate or falsely represent his or her identity. You may not obtain, attempt to obtain, use or attempt to use the login name or character name of anyone else.
You are encouraged to use a pseudonym, but you may not choose a name that violates anyoneÆs trademarks, publicity rights or other rights. Acceptance of a pseudonym by the System does not mean that your chosen pseudonym does not violate anyoneÆs rights. You are responsible for any liability incurred by yourself, CCP or anyone else due to the pseudonym you choose. CCP retains the right to reject any pseudonym it determines, in its sole discretion, is unlawful, indecent, obscene or otherwise violates standards of good taste.ö

My case is solid, my reasons are clear. My accounts should NOT be banned, theirs should. Yet my accounts remain banned, while they are not being penalized in any shape or form for their violations of the EULA, and for their maltreatment of this game. The GMÆs have been informed of the RMTing, they have been told that I was authorized access to the accounts, and yet they do nothing. This is another display of favoritism from CCP., similar to yesterdayÆs events (TEST TCUÆs being destroyed).

Just for the sake of clarity, you're upset because you logged into an RMT-purchased account, that never belonged to you in the first place, to steal RMT-purchased assets, and now you're butthurt because you were permabanned for doing it on your main?
That, sir, is pants-on-head-******ed.

This is right about where everyone should stop reading, if not beforehand. Account sharing is not allowed, it has never been allowed, CCP has banned people for doing it before and continue to do so presently. They don't care if Raptor-Jesus himself gave you the Buddy-Christ-thumbsup, account-sharing is a bannable offense, and is stated QUITE CLEARLY in the EULA we all agreed to.

should of logged in from an internet cafe
should of self destructed the titan\nyx then reprocessed as many assets as you could of before bouncing to jita to buy as many 1,000,000,000isk shuttles as you could find.
not that I'd ever condone such a thing but then spending a grand on pretend monies and toys is moronic tbh. --

CCP's unwritten policy for account sharing has always been "at your own risk, and we'll use it against you if we want to justify something". Furthermore, account sharing is a bannable offense for the account owner, not the person who accessed it. Shoehorning what has happened (according to OPs story, at least) under "hacking" is ridiculous.
(Raptor-Jesus has been notified of your heretical views.)

Most people seem to miss the point in this thread.
OP violated EULA (perhaps to expose an even worse infraction) and had his accounts perma banned.
Eddz and Krisz from KIA also violated EULA in a far more serious way but because Eddz is friends with the GM dealing with this and alot of CCPs neither have been banned.
I know for a fact Eddz advertises the fact he is RMT'ing his supercaps and accts from time spent on KIA TS where the purchaser also frequents so I have no doubt in the OPs story.

We got the 'internal affairs' department (if it actually exists) to calm the rage of the t20 incident, and of course was only done because that particular incident made it out to the masses.
CCP won't do anything any different, they won't respond to this or any other thread about such matters with anything meaningful and in fact will more than likely simply lock it.
This thread will also be locked for 'lack of content' (or lack of content they wish to accept exists, head + sand + lalalalalalalala")
