Honestly while I've seen alot of people post about how much better the Raven or Tengu are for doing L4s, it is frankly bullpoop.
While, yes a Raven will output more DPS to deal with the Battleships; nearly 150 DPS more under L5 Skills, so yes this will kill enemies quicker ... something you have to bare in mind is that almost literally all of that extra DPS comes from Drones, also once those drones are destroyed you will have absolutely no defense against Frigates that will often Warp Disrupt you.
Sure you can solve this issue by packing some Small Hybrid/Laser/Projectile weapons, it still isn't ideal.
Another major issue with the Raven is again while yes it's active tank will be able to sustain more damage (again with L5 skill, 750 DPS Tank) this is only sustainable for short periods of time, with your EHP Buffer being 25k less than your Drake ... meaning that customising the Hardners to a mission becomes paramount to successfully surviving.
When you compare the overal initial cost of a "decent" Raven setup of 140mil ISK (easily) to a full T2 Drake setup of 60mil ISK, plus the overhead costs of Drone looses and more expensive Ammunition. Really the only real reason to fly a Raven for mission running is if you're particularly concerned about time;
In a Raven you WILL constantly be aware of time, as the capacitor will drain and DAMN fast... once a Ravens' cap is gone, there is a good chance it will pop before you can warp out.
Again with a T2 fit Drake however, you can perma-tank up to 5 Battleships comfortably; you also have the added bonus that Battleship Missiles/Guns will have a VERY hard time getting their full DPS to bare on you, where-as a Raven will take the full brunt.
I've heard a number of people throw the Tengu out there, while yes it is a fantastic ship. It doesn't have the physical tanking ability that the Drake has ... it does have some better resists reducing enemy damage, giving it a higher EHP; but it will have less than half the Tanking capability, as such while it can run L4s it won't do it particularly confortably without utilising the distance you get from Heavies and the increased RoF from the Rifling System. It will be able to equal a Raven for DPS Firepower however, which is something to keep in mind; plus running costs are on-par with the Drake ... still to get a decent DPS/Tank Tengu you'll be looking at the better part of 600mil - not to mention the 2-3months of dedicated training.
Not saying that the Tengu isn't worth it, but honestly for L4 Missions is a total waste of time and money for very little physical improvement over a Drake.

That fit is one I generally use for L4s over everything else I have, does 310 DPS (T1 Missiles) + 100 DPS (Drones) has 85K EHP and a 380 DPS Tank. It has roughly 70km range, 380m Signature, 175m/s Speed plus is capable of locking and hitting ships of any size in reasonable times. Can do almost every L4 in about 30-45minutes, plus if you put in a cheap CPU Implant that adds 1% you can also fit a Salvager although personally I tend to either use another ship or call one of the corp newbies to do that cause it is mind numbingly boring.
