I joined TNC a little more than a month ago. What really attracted me to them was that so many of their members have been with them for years, which I consider a sign of a good corp.
Over the past few weeks I am learning how lucky I am to be part of this truly great corp of people. Here are some of the things I love about TNC :
- always people on. - everyone wants to help, many of their members are a wealth of experience. - play the way you want to play, if you want to be an miner, or take an industrialist path, mission run or work in WH space, it's up to you. Its a large enough corp that there is something for everyone. - laid back : they truly are, and know that RL comes first. - being a new player, they really spend the time to hold my hand - mature : although I'm not sure what everyones age is, it's very obvious they are mature players, no drama or bs. At the same time there is a lot of fun to be had in comms and corp channel. - although I'm still not skilled enough for WH life, they have spent a lot of time guiding me on what I need so I can get there quicker!
I could go on, maybe I'll save it for future bumps, either way, I'm proud to be a part of TNC.

Being part of a good corp in Eve can make all the difference in the world. It's a lawless universe out there, can't think of a better group of people watching my back in WH space.
The Night Crew has been around for six years for a reason - it cares about it's members.

I've been part of the corp for about 5 months, but way before that I had the great experience to work with them. It is just a great place to be, you can find a lot of help, of all kinds; and what I think its more important, we work as a team and everybody has a say when discussing any topic of the Corporation.
EVE is a game for organized people, if you want to be succesful you might want to be part of a great corporation that is aligned with your ideals. The Night Crew is one of those Corps.

Edited by: Arcossine on 13/11/2010 03:46:40 TNC is a great Corp! I'm new to the game, only 5mil SP but they are really helping me learn how to use WHs completely, we mine in them, run sleeper sites, work with PI and even get some PVP action some days. Great variety of stuff to do, I'm never bored. The wealth of knowledge and game maturity is great to have to fall back on as well because of EVE's steep learning curve. We'd love to have some more people join us though.

I've had a great time in The Night Crew since joining; everyone works exceptionally well together and there's zilch drama to deal with. A wealth of knowledge readily passed around to everyone so we can all work at max ability.
A wide range of things to do(in empire and WH space) so you're never sitting around twiddling your thumbs for days on end. Alot of mature and well-humored individuals who make every day ingame an adventure in itself.
If it weren't for TNC I doubt I'd be playing as much as I do, nor progressing myself to do things I would'nt have bothered to on my own.

There are a lot of mediocre corps out there that a player can fall into, giving a skewed perception of what Eve is like. I don't think i would stll be playing if it wasn't for The Night Crew.
It's a great group of people working together and having fun together.

I was a drifter, with no purpose going from station to station, drunk most of the time, starting fights for the **** of it. I didn't have a need for implants, since I was constantly trying to get myself killed.
I think it was in some crap backwater system, Sahdil maybe, or Gio, that I was spending a few cycles in a cell when I met someone from the Night Crew. He told me about a group of capsuleers who were exploring wormholes, living in them, outside of known space, and getting rich doing it. He told stories of ancient sites and unexplored planets. What Concord called "pirate" was legal in wormholes, there it's called self defense. Soon as I was released, I found them a few systems out from Jita and applied. That was the beginning of my life in Eden.
If someone offers you a way out, take it, you may not get another chance.

Hi Alagar, we pretty much have people on all the time. But I would have to say some of the largest groupings of people usually end up being Evenings, nights and late nights GMT -5.
Being in the corp for a short time though, I realize why it's called the Night Crew, a lof of players play through the night, making it also good for players in other time zones.
What time zone are you in?

So, I have been around Eve for a while and I want to do something fun. For the past month and a half I haven't even left my station. I log in every few days for a couple minutes to update my skills and then log out.
I have about 7.5 million skill points. I can fly tech 2 industrial ships, A hulk, Amarr and Gallente battlecruisers. I tried missioning and found it dull and boring. I have been mining for months but doing that alone is mind numbing.
Can you guys offer me some fun and excitement? I am sure I could get back into the game if there was something that was a little more engaging.

I really think in many ways it's the people who make this game engaging, otherwise it would only solo mission running.
Sounds like you and I are pretty equal in a lot of ways. You probably have the basic skills to give life in the wormhole a shot. Message TNT 1 in game and talk to him a little. Even if you decide not to join up, or it doesn't work out for some reason, your welcome to message me in game if you need a partner in crime for something.
I think joining a good corp and learning new things could really change Eve for you. Write TNT 1 when you get a free moment.

Hello Forum Readers!
I've been with this corp for nigh on 3 years now, and have really enjoyed being part of the Crew. Whatever you want try doing, this corp can and will help you. From guidance, training, through to specialist advice on all topics, pretty much whatever you need is available.
If your current corp isn't stepping up, then I highly recommend you take a look at TNC. If you've *not* been in a corp before, you really don't know what you're missing. Friends and support are pretty much required in Eve - it's a nasty universe out there.

Being a new player, less than 6 months old I wanted to write to other new players reading this. I am just starting to see how amazing life in WH space is. When I first saw what TNC were building out there and the operation they are running, I was amazed. It was like I entered an entirely new game than the one I have been playing.
Not being PVP ready, I have resigned myself to mining, and man is it plentiful. Its so different than Empire, there are rocks the size of small moons, and the rare ores actually make it worth mining. ALthough I have so much to learn, everyone has been very patient teaching me what is needed to live out here. While some of us industrialists mine, others are busy running sites, or just keeping the system safe. There is always something going on.
I cant wait for what's next. If your not in WH space, your missing out on the best part of Eve.

I consider myself fortunate to be in TNC. It's a corp full of some truly great people who all work together. I started off with TNC missioning in Empire, which everyone was fine with. I would run missions with other corp mission runners, and always had a corp support network to help me when I needed it.
Finally I got a chance to go live in one of the wormholes (yes we control more than one!), and man was it a game changer. I'm having so much fun in this corp. Being mostly in industry, our WH system is so rich with natural resources it would make your head spin.
If industry is not your thing, our space needs daily defense, so there is a lot of pvp to be had, as well as mission running and exploration.
If your missing something in Eve but not sure what, you need to contact us! Message TNT 1 to discuss enrolling asap!

Been thinking about finding a new corp....I am typically on later in the evening or the early hours of the morning (Almost 4am right now). Love the Corp I am in now, but I feel distant.
I'm looking for a corp that might have some low sec space I could mine in (This alliance I am, has some, but hasn't been enforcing the neutral zone that the low sec systems are in, so pirates have invaded)
I have my main (Sassums) currently flying a Hulk with just over 19mil SP. I have some PI Skills (Dumped about 1.3mil SP into it from my learning skills, and I haven't done anything with it yet). I use Sassums for mining, as well as exploration for grav sites, eventually I will be flying a Covert Ops for further exploration as well as any PVP support (Cloaking type stuff)
I have a second character that is "supposed" to be my combat character, but I took a detour and got him into an Orca for mining support. Will be back on track for combat as soon as my Orca skills are all finished off (Missing a leadership skill for some of the foreman bonuses.
Just kind of digging around, curious where everything is located, I am currently doing research to find dead end or less traveled systems to mine in, so I am not fighting for an area to mine.

I can tell you that all our action happens in a C4 and a C5 Wormhole. As for people being on, its called the Night Crew for a reason. Its 2am on the East Coast of the Americas and there are several ops going on between PVE, PVP and Industry.
Look forward to talking with you more.

Hey Steven, thanks for your post - There are usually people on at all hours, but peak times for your time zone seem to be between 5pm to 2am on weekdays. On the weekends there is stuff going on all day.
To run sites you'll meet certain people who share a similar schedule and will end up being who you run stuff with. For mining you just go out to a grav site, put a fleet advert up and people will come and go all day - it's a little more free form.

Sassums, I'm excited to have you join too, I have accounts in empire and the WH , wherever you are, i would love to run some stuff with you.
Just yesterday myself and another corp member opened a grav site in an ajoining C4 system and we both said, too bad Sassums isn't here or he could start mining that ark deposit that's the size of a small moon! (Too much resources and not enough people to share it with!)

If your mining in empire, stop, if your mining in low sec and loosing ships, stop! You need to contact us! We call it extreme mining, not only is it fun, it's profitable.
Apply with us to see if you have all the necessary skills to truly get lost in Eve.

A few months ago all I knew about wormholes is I wanted be in one. I wanted to be somewhere where the resources were plentiful, working with other players to take advantage of it.
The Night Crew brought me up to speed on what skills and ships I needed to be proficient in to be able to be of use out there. I went from only being able to mine sites to being able to scan them down quickly, and open them. I've tried my hand at gas mining. I'm learning about the day to day of operating a pos in w-space.
I've learnt how important it is to be safe, and to defend your system when intruders come. How to manage the holes, controling them, closing them.
Most of all I'm learning how great it is to have a network of people who are helping and watching your back while you do the same for them. It's truly been a game changing experience!

Have only been with the Corp a few days, but I am loving it, very helpful group of people. And they actually are interested in helping out, and not annoyed. It's a good feeling. I already have a plan on what I need to get trained to be helpful in terms of Corp Operations.
Not to mention they have helped with Mining Set ups, PVE set ups, as well as PVP Set ups. And of course explaining the whole Worm Hole thing.

1] Other than WH, what region[s] of space are you guys in ? 2] Is it low sec, and what is the corp tax rate ?. If there is a tax rate what is it and why is it charged ?. 3] What is the average number of members online for the late night [ us in the North American time zone ] ?.
Thanks tons for the info and safe jumps

I'll try to help out and answer with what I can - very new to the corp
1] Not sure, I am currently in Empire and I am sure most of the guys in the corp would be more than happy to come and help out 2] WH Space is 0.0. and I believe the Corp tax is at 5% is what I seem to be getting taxed on missions. (Someone else will have to explain it's purpose and what it is used for :) ) 3] There are generally a lot more players on at night, thus the name, in the past week I have been in the Corp it's always been over 10, plus everyone is on TS.

Sassums is correct. The only thing I can add is . . 1) We currently operate out of 2 different wormholes, a C5 and a C4. Besides that a lot of the corp uses a system that is 3 jumps from Jita as it's home base for things like Empire mission running.
Feel free to write TNT 1 via Eve mail.

The tax 5% across the board, It is to keep the corp running... We have Station Rental Fees, Pos Structures and Fuel cost. And other day to day running cost that is need to keep the doors open and lights on.

For a new person, or a veteran looking through these forums your probably looking for a corp that stands out. I think why I play Eve. Its the people. I lucked into a corp with an exceptional group of people who make me want to log on and do stuff with. (I know this is a great corp because I have had the priveledge of bring in some very mediocre corps before this one.)
So whether your a vet or a new player, people are what make this game fun. The Night Crew makes this game for me. |

I am always amazed at how many seasoned vets in the Night Crew are always willing to help new players out. I am always learning out here in the Wormhole, things you would never expect being a new player.
TNC are looking for good people who want to work together for a common goal. If your working towards getting yourself into a wormhole operation, join us, lets work together on the skills and ships you will need to be a great player. Being out here is a game changer.

I agree. Yesterday I learned basic theory behind POS layout, anchoring, what, where and why. Learning how to build ships to create our own corp ship program for everyone to get free ships or at cost. Working with others to put that into action.
Learning about Gas Cloud Harvesting, and what mining sites are in the wormhole, what each one means. Improving on my scanning everyday, and getting pretty fast about it.
I have learned so much that I don't think I could have learnt in Empire. It helps from having a lot of vets in the corp who have been in the game for up to 6 years and know their ****!

Well it depends on what you want to do. The SP minimum is really for you, not us. If we brought you out to the wormhole without the skills you would end up logging on and not being able to do much, where in empire you can mission run and train up. That being said, its possible to get you in if your main focus at the moment is mining / industry. If its PVP, 5 million might not cut it.
There is also a probationary period in our corp where we spend some time with you in Empire mission running, mining, etc, to get to know you and your goals. Since your Amarr, this would probably be me!
We will help work on fittings with you, as well as suggest ways to skill up to prepare yourself. Lets talk in game, send me and Eve mail or start up a conversation next time i'm on. Look forward to meeting you.

Other alt is 5.5mil SP who's coming up to speed in manu, can fly industrials and barges but is a wimp when it comes to combat. He's about 2 weeks away from being able to turn the lights on in an orca. I want to keep him on the mining / industrial side.

Sounds like a great fit. One thing I learned in wormhole space is you won't use an Orca as much as haulers, and transport ships. I would train up my T2 mining crystals and my abc ores first, it's a greater payback for you. Your also going to want to fit a ship for Gas Cloud Harvesting and get that skill to 5. All astronautics to 4 and Salvaging to at least 4. That's a start for the Indy side. Please message TNT 1 in game, write him an email he does about 2 interviews a day. He's a grizzled old war vet that knows his PVP as well as he knows his mining and he's the boss.

Question: How many people do you have active in your corp?

Question: Where is your corp based?
Answer: 90% of our corp exists in wormholes. 10% in empire. Some of the members in Empire are in a probationary period before we bring them into our WH training camp. Some just want to be in Empire. Occasionally corp members will leave our bases in the wormhole to go to Empire or 0.0 for some R&R.null

Question: How does mining work in the wormhole?
Answer: In our wormholes we open up sites weekly for everyone to mine. Each week a donation of 5% of what you mine is made to the corp to help keep things running. If your capable to scan, you can also go into other neighboring systems and mine whenever you want.

The Recruitment Channel -
Question: How important is scanning?
Answer: Its crucial to living out in the wormhole. We ask that all new recruits get their scanning skills up to IV before entering any of our wormhole systems. Imagine a hole goes critical leaving you on the other side of it from our system. Without proper scanning skills and a scanner, you will not be able to scan yourself a route out to empire.

The Recruitment Channel -
Question: I've been in a few corps that have just fallen apart. How stable is your corp?
Answer: The Night Crew has been around for 6 years now. I't the reason I joined this corp, after being in several smaller corps that were always in flux. I wanted a home that I wasn't worried about logging in one day and discovering there wasn't a corp. The Night Crew isn't going anywhere.

The Recruitment Channel - (questions people have asked in the recruitment channel.)
Question: Does your corp get a lot of war decs?
Answer: Rarely. We had a war dec a few months ago for 2 weeks but never saw anyone. Its hard to war dec a wormhole corp, its near impossible finding us. There is a strict no griefing policy in The Night Crew. Everyone of our members are expected to fly with a code of conduct. If we fight, its in defense of our systems.

The Recruitment Channel -
Question: What kind of skills am I going to need before i'm admitted into the wormhole?
Answer: Astrometics to IV is a must. Can't stress how important that is. If you get stuck in a system when a wormhole closes, without scanning equipment and skills, you will be stranded out there with little choice but to pod yourself.

The Recruitment Channel - Questions we get
Question: Im close to flying an Orca. Do you guys need Orca pilots in the wormhole?
Answer: Spend your skills on getting T2 Mining Crystals for your ABC's first. Getting an Orca should be last on your list. We only use them when making empire runs once every 1 - 2 weeks, and sometimes we don't use them. They are not worth the cost of using them in day to day mining. They are just slow giant pieces of bait. Using a cheap 2 million isk Iteron V hauler is quicker and more effective.

The Recruitment Channel Questions -
Question: How do members of your corp make isk in the wormhole?
Answer: There are many ways to make a living. One of the best ways is to clear combat sites with us. You can make anywhere between 200 - 500 million isk in a session depending on how many members in the fleet and how many sites you clear. Other ways people make money are gas harvesting, mining and PI - all of which are exceptional in the wormhole.
Note: Its not about how much isk you can make, but working together with people you like and trust. Teamwork is crucial out here. If you keep that in mind, money happens automatically.

Question: I've been playing off an on for a few years now and really just wanted to see what a wormhole corp is all about.
Answer: We would love to have you as part of our team. We currently have a lot of old timers in The Night Crew. Just make sure you don't have any skeletons in the closet. We make sure to check out thoroughly your background, and employement history. Please supply references when applying.

The Recruitment Channel Questions -
Question: Do you have any rules the corp lives by?
Answer: Yes, when your playing you must be in comms - we use Team Speak 3. This is a rule that can't be broken. Out in the wormhole communication is key, and will save you billions of isk!
We are a very laid back corp, but that doesn't come before your safety.

The Recruitment Channel Questions -
Question: What ships do you fly in your wormholes?
Answer: We fly mostly Drakes and Tengus for running missions. We have a great advantage in our wormholes to shields, so its harder for armor tanker. We do have Amarr pilots who train into Nightmares and do very well. There are other ships people fly such as basilisks and covert ops ships for specific functions.
You are not forced to fly a certain ship in our corp, but it helps if you fly the suggested ships. We build Tengus and Drakes, so its a lot easier for you to get a replacement at cost from us if you lose yours.

The wealth of a corporation is based on its people that choose to be a part of it. Isk is but a digital currency, its nothing compared to the people you choose to spend your time with, the reason you log on each day. Besides, what is isk if you cant spend it with friends and blow **** up!
The Night Crew are looking for good people who want to work together in wormholes for a common goal.

Question: What is the minimum skill points a player must have to join The Night Crew?
Answer: We are looking for 10 million+ skill point players. But if your reading this and your under 10 million, even if you only have a 3 million, your welcome to apply as long as you don't mind being in empire, running missions with other members. We just can't bring you into one of our wormhole operations until your decently skilled. Some of the things you will get out of our corp being a newer player is help on how to fit your ships, help from seasoned veterans, and grouping with other mission runners who live in empire.

The Recruitment Channel Questions -
Question: I've never been into a wormhole before, what kind of things will I be doing there?
Answer: Our wormholes have some of the same activities you might find in empire, except it's very team oriented. You need to work together with others to accomplish your goals. You could run sleeper sites, go on roams to protect our system. Open up mining sites, gas sites, or do PI. Everything in the wormhole is usually big better, and with greater reward. It is the next frontier in Eve.

Infi, sorry I missed you in the rec channel, been traveling the last few days. To answer your questions . .
1. The corp does not have it's own forums. But I was going to make a site for a corp wiki giving links and info for new players, also a place to handle different tomes of knowledge we have for the corp.
When you do join now however, you will be sent several emails of information, as well we have a corp bulletin with useful links, and info.
2. Give your limited API with your application and TNT 1 will review and schedule an interview.

To live in wormholes is truly a unique experience. Every day I log on, I never know what it will bring. It may be a hole has opened up to empire/low sec and we need to escort and be the eyes for our industrialists hauling goods to empire. Somedays we find PVP in a few wormholes over, or it maybe it finds us. Nights we run sleeper sites for large sums of isk. Others are building ships, mining, or even making drugs. There only thing I expect from living in a wormhole is the unexpected.
The main thing that is consistent is, its a group of people working closely together for a common goal, whatever goal the day brings.

I remember when I first started looking for a corporation. Some were nul sec, miles away from empire, with delicate alliances that could change on a dime. However exciting it seemed, I just wasn't ready to jump in the deep end yet. I also wasn't looking for a landlord, or required ops at weird hours. There were industrial corps which were only about mining, PI, trading. There were PVP corps who really didnt give a **** about anything else except PVP.
That's when I found the Night Crew. It truly allows its members to focus on what they want to do while giving them opportunities to learn about other aspects of Eve at their pace.
Although I started as a industrialist mission runner, i'm learning about aspects of combat and pvp, and its been so much fun, as well as profitable. Since i'm new to it, having veteran commanding officers teach me strategy, procedure, and the right way to do things has been invaluable.

The wealth of a corporation is based on its employees.
From the combat pilots who protect our space, the builders who build our ships. The miners who are usually a little bit insane. The commanders, tacticians and planners. Architects who are helping The Night Crew grow for a brighter future.
Everyone is important. We welcome you all.

With our expansion to a 3rd wormhole system, were a bit short on industrialists! Just make sure if you are an industrialist, you at least have some basic combat skills, which will come in handy from time to time.
There are vast resources to be had in these wormholes, and enough for all!

Our biggest rule of the Night Crew is to always be on Comms. When applying to join, keep this in mind. In the wormhole intel is key. You are flying blind without intel. The best way to communicate this is through COMs.
Another importance of COMs is to get to know the other pilots you will be flying with. Trusting and knowing your fellow pilots is key.
Even if your mission running in empire, COMs is required to prepare yourself for life in the wormhole.

and o yah, the peeps are awesomes, and T has more patience than Mother Theresa
did i mention all the ore i can mine and t3 ships for life?

What I Like The Night Crew
First and foremost, the people I get to work with.á The ability to work with others without grinding against the grain, or feeling like merely another cog in someone else's machine; when I log on I know I'm gonna have a good time, whether we're joking and passing the time, or putting our noses to the grindstone to get something done.á Everyone's ability to sway between the two is awesome; and it says something about a corp when everyone can come together for a common goal to push the corp further than we were before.
Aside from the people; the ability to do damn near anything EVE has to offer, and have well knowledged people to guide you along the way to make sure you're doing it properly.
Strength not just in numbers, but in unity and respect.á I've played since 2004, my time with TNC has been the best I've had by far.

I enjoy recruiting and brainwashing small children of a the world and turning them into my storm troopers for my eventual take over of the universe. I also enjoy poking fun at those people in the corp who are from strange and distant lands.... (dar).... (chix).... and keeping senior citizens in thier place....(hirant). Eventually they will euthanized with the rest of the non-believers. I enjoy the atmosphere... the free cookies.... and all the ****s I can.... I mean... all the hmm...

I dig that pretty much everyone in the corp is down to do whatever happens to be going on at the time. Fleets, gas mining, rock shooting, scanning a route to empire, fueling the POS, listening to Hirant chew someone's ass... it's all more enjoyable when done as a team.

Hey, I've been looking around and reading a lot about different corps, alliances and such... and im having a really hard time deciding which one to apply for. I mean there is like a zillion corps around and i dont wanna waste time jumping between several "half arsed" corps with zero goals/direction or decent organization, i wanna find a good stable home in EVE. So far only a few seems well organized and stable and who arent "too big" or only specialized in 1 aspect of the game. From what i've read about u guys it really seems promising and maybe a place where i could fit in well. I'm tired of being a loner in this game as i've learned it can become really boring in the long run with repetitive missions for example. Not to mention learning pvp alone can be really demotivating
Basically I am looking for a corp where i can hopefully learn more about,- and participate in WH ops and some pvp. Overall i wanna become a good combatpilot. At the moment im kinda lost and need some guidance and i really miss the social part within all this. I'm very flexible and also helpful and im in to do whatever is needed trainingwise and in practice which would benefit the corp the most. From me u can expect a loyal, mature and friendly person with good potential
I believe the game just HAS to be more fun when doing stuff with others and there HAVE to be more to the game than just doing missions alone. Of course starting as a loner and learning stuff the hard way does make one grow and become resilient but i feel there is nothing more for me to gain the way i play the game now. Don't get me wrong, ofc there is a ****load more to learn about pretty much anything here and i've read like a billion sites and guides around, think i have like 50+ sites i constantly read up on when im unsure about,- or wanna learn more about sumthin. But it's one thing to read about it and another to actually put it into practice and do it.
I have a 10.7M SP combatpilot as main who i today only do L4's inna maelstrom with. Got a 6M SP Alt on a second account which i only use for R&D/Invention + Manufacturing, as of now i only use her to make my own ammo, then i realized the waiting time for doing BP copying and was looking to make a POS but after reading about it I realize im gonna have a hard time keeping that alive alone -_- I also did some mining but found that to be extremely boring tho i understand the need and purpose of it ofc
As i read through ur posts it seems that most ppl are within the US timezone, myself am from northern norway which puts me +6 hours from US eastern time. Will this be a problem for me if i want to participate in WH ops? As i cant play all nite every day :P
I might be wrong but it seems ur also in Amarr space, i think i kinda blew my amarr standings when i did all the minmatar COSMOS missions, putting me -6 or sumthin with em. Will this be a problem for me also? A drunk man's words, are a sober man's thoughts |

Edited by: Kazrael Starseeker on 15/04/2011 05:49:20 It might be common place for the Night Crew wormhole dwellers, tonight was my first time doing Radar sites. I had always scanned them down in the hole, but never really did them. It was cool to see how hacking works. We came back with a crazy amount of salvage for just doing 2 sites. Hell of a lot of fun.
Not sure what's more fun, running these sites making tons of isk, or having fun in comms laughing our asses off with a good bunch of people. I guess its win win!

How do you win at Eve?
To each their idea of winning at Eve might be different. Some say you can never win at Eve. I think I have won at Eve.
Winning in Eve to me is being in a good corporation, enjoying the people you work with. Everyone lending a hand to make something greater and having a lot of fun while doing it. So if you apply to the Night Crew or not, your reading this forum, which means your looking for a home. I really hope you find a home that fits you as much as the Night Crew fits me.

What I Like The Night Crew
There are some weeks where I can log on every day and play for 3 - 5 hours a session. Then there are weeks where i'm traveling and I just log on to check my PI. There are even times where I end up going to parts of the world with no internet and I just cant log on. What I love about the Night Crew is no one ever makes me feel guilty about my RL obligations.
When I do log on, there is always something to do, I jump into a fleet and go running sites or mining, cloud harvesting, or a roam.
I have been in corporations where it just didn't mesh with real life. This is one corp where I can be a contributing member, hang out with great people and have a life outside of it too. I think this is the reason so many members have been in the Night Crew for years.
If I wasn't in the Night Crew, I think I would eventually just quit the game, instead of trying to find a home as good as this one.

I listen to a lot of podcasts talk about a lot of corporations. Some of them are socialist where everything you make goes back to the corporation, in return the corporation supplies you with ships to fly. Many corporations require large taxes to line the CEO's pockets, others are run a bit like a fascist dictatorship which large weekly time requirements to remain in the corp. There are corporations run by fear. Corporations where the opposite happens - nothing. You log on to find your the only person online this week.
The Night Crew is such a unique corporation. Its balanced in so many ways, whether it be between industry and combat, pve and pvp. Its a corporation thats very understanding about RL. Its also very open to helping you work towards whatever goals you may have in Eve, and if you want to change them to something else, its your choice, you have our support.
Its a corporation you can grow with. Pixels may not be real, but the relationships you forge and who you are is.

We have wormholes dedicated to training, ones for PI and Mining, others which seem to get a lot of PVP. Each wormhole is like a micro community within a larger community. I guess one of the great things about the Night Crew is although it has a large member base, it retains its small corp personal feel.

Edited by: Zarutha on 02/05/2011 01:38:31 I get a lot of questions about what skills a potential member would need to get into the wormhole. Or what ships they need to fly.
All that crap is not important. We will teach you when you join what skills will be helpful, and help you with any ships you might need. The real question is, do you like the people you fly with? Is the Night Crew what your looking for in a home?
Were looking to extend our family, it starts with good people.

Traejun, submit your application with your limited API key, either myself or TNT 1 will contact you, we would love to talk a bit and see what your looking for in Eve. Send me a message in game, i'll find you.
PS: Your a time zone with about 80% of our players currently. With 200 members and multiple wormholes there is always something going on!

you guys sound like a very stable corp ready to teach me something and get back in my eve groove!

Two questions, as I am interested by your corporation.
How ofter do you have pvp ops? and what kind of size? HD, roam, fleet or a little bit all these.
TZ, I live in Beijing, so I am -2 compared to AUS/NZ, I am connected everyday, mostly right after DT and for 4 hours.
I have a full familly that is looking for a new home.
Thanks in advance for your answers.

We have a website, but its only for employees of the corporation. Its used as a wiki on skilling up for wormhole life, all members have access upon joining.
If you would like to apply, the best way is to apply to the corp in game, make sure to include your limited API key and TNT 1 will set up an interview with you.

Thanks Zhao, it would be great if you set up a meeting with TNT 1. If you are interested in PVP, its something you need to let us know. Some of our wormholes see more PVP action than others. In one of our holes, PVP happens every day . In others, you might have to get a few members together and check out neighboring wormholes.

If your looking for a corp that has a lot of old timers but is also friendly to new players, the Night Crew is a corp you should consider. I have been playing for a year now, and would not have stayed in Eve if it wasn't for the the Night Crew.
I remember first joining and asking questions like - how skills worked, how to fit ships, how to scan, etc. Here were these vets, who had probably done this s h i t years ago, having the patience taking the time to show me the ropes.
Its then I realized that as much I was investing time in The Night Crew, they were also investing in me. It's not about what you fly or if you have the right skills, its more about who you are and your actions that represent you as a member. Its your contribution to the corp.
If you're a vet or a new player, your welcome to join our corporation if your goal is having a sense of community in Eve, and hanging out with a great group of people.
I watched this corp go from 1 wormhole to 4 and it couldn't be done without such solid players who really care about the corp.

When I first joined the Night Crew, I remember 100 million isk was a big deal, something I had to grind missions for. Then I discovered trading and I thought 1 billion isk was a big bucks. Now in the Night Crew, I look at 10 billion isk as expensive, and something I have to grind for.
How things have changed.
Living out here in this new frontier in the middle of nowhere, with this corp has changed my perspective on a lot of things, one of them being weatlh.

The Recruitment Channel Questions -
Question: What is the minimum skill points a player must have to join The Night Crew?
Answer: We are looking for at least 5 million+ skill point players. It takes about 8 to 10m before you have the required skills to get into the wormhole. Even if you only have a 3 million, your welcome to apply as long as you don't mind being in empire, running missions with other members. We just can't bring you into one of our wormhole operations until your decently skilled. Some of the things you will get out of our corp being a newer player is help on how to fit your ships, help from seasoned veterans, and grouping with other mission runners who live in empire.

The Night Crew seems like a fine corporation. I've been looking into you guys for a short while now and there is a lot about your corp that catches my eye. From how you seem to handle yourselves , to how your members or others speak of you as a group, or how you do your WH living.
I represent a couple of other players also, all adult players, 20m+ SP, and would be very interested in talking to one of you about our options for perhaps getting to fly with you guys. I'm going to be on evenings over the next week or so if any of you have the chance to contact me, and/or will frequent your public channel.

Outstanding Corp!
A CEO that isn't an arrogant "know it all" that berates members and is just in the game for his own benefit. TNT 1 treats everyone with dignity and respect and proves his dedication to improving the Corporation and its members everyday.
WH directors that are extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of EVE and very patient with WH noobs, like me.
Great group of guys to fly with whether its PVP or PVE.
Tremendous opportunity to make loads of isk.
No BS that's usually associated with 0.0 life.

I've had a long break from EVE (well over a year) and have just come back. My previous corp no longer exists so I'm looking for a corp that will accept a casual player. I realistically won't play more than a couple of times a week with potentially being as little as once a week. I'm just looking for a corp with a good family mentality where everyone tries to help everyone else. This corp looks like it may have what I'm looking for so please let me know if you're interested in my joining application. I have just over 20mil SP. :)

Dunemous, thats why I joined TNC initially, the ability to have a life. I wish I could play 24/7 but we all know thats not true. We believe having a balance in life is important. The only thing we do ask is when you are on, you be in comms, and if you can, you lend a hand from time to time. What really excites me about all the new players were getting is now how busy empire is for our corp. We seem to have 5 - 20 people in empire at all times running missions, sites, mining, mostly near Jita. If your a new player and feel your not ready for wormhole life yet, but want to hang out with other players, check us out.

I'm a new player to both TNC and Eve. The guys in here have been a big help getting me on my feet and helping me learn the many aspects of the game. When things go wrong, these guys don't point and laugh at the "noob" for doing something wrong, they sit down and explain what you did wrong, while helping you back to your feet. If you have questions they will find the time to answer you, and they are always running missions so getting some cash before you get to the wormholes is never a problem.
Oh did I mention if you join now you might get to take part in our next Noctis sacrifice to the Eve gods?

I have logged about a year of play time over the last three years. I usually get bored with my corp, and go on haitus. But I keep coming back. I have been with The Night Crew for three months and I'm still going strong.
This is a great group of guys, a good mix of old guard, new recruit, and everything in between. The CEO is great at weeding out all the applicants of the less than savory nature, so you are left with a lot of solid players. We come from all walks of life and from all over the globe, we encompass numerous types of play styles and there is always someone online. There has a been a large influx of new people over the last few months so there are lots of people in Empire running missions and mining at the moment, so finding a fleet is never a problem.
We are very laid back by nature, but there are a few rules, and they are strictly adhered to (COMMS!!!), but they make the game more enjoyable for us all.
So if you are thinking about applying, DO IT!!! You will not regret it.

I keep hearing on podcasts and from players who join our recruitment channel that the perception of our corp is that its a very large corp. I'm not sure what constitutes a large corp. The Night Crew has about 200 members at the moment, does that make it large?
When I log on it really feels like a small tight knit community i'm spending time with. I've never seen our corporation as large. I think thats something I really like about TNC, its big enough that there is always something going on, but its not too big that you get lost in and feel like your not important.

We have our first wardec goiing into effect tomorrow. It's by a 5 member hisec mission running corp. When you take our 200 members vs their 5 it hardly seems fair. Oh well, it should be fun!

All that crap is not important. We will teach you when you join what skills will be helpful, and help you with any ships you might need. The real question is, do you like the people you fly with? Is the Night Crew what your looking for in a home?

Hiyas Night Crew. Returning player to Eve Online. USA casual player on Arizona time zone. I'm a 26 mill sp combat pilot with a minor in mining. Are you still recruiting or on a freeze? Your corp sounds awesome! I will need short time to get my feet wet so to speak.
If I can join you guys please do me a favor and don't disband or fall into obscurity! Lone wolfing things in eve sucks.

I often try to think what makes this corp so different from other corps I have been in before the Night Crew. Here are some observations . . .
- Emphasis on the individual
- organization - never have a seen a corp so organized yet still able to kick back
- TRUST - i've been some wacky paranoid corporations before, there is none of that paranoid crap, probably has to do with being around for 6 years and still going.
- COMMUNITY - people getting on just to hang out and be with other people

I have only been a wormhole for a couple of weeks and loving it. When I came into the wormhole I was shown the ropes and quickly got to grips with wormhole life, settling in very fast. Before you know it you are ratting, pvping and crushing wormholes to find new systems to plunder. Whether you are a vet, returning player or new to the game and you are looking for a very organised and friendly place to call home; then this is it. A corp which is built on co-operation, honesty and honour. A very rare thing to find in EvE.

Edited by: Caitri on 24/06/2011 20:36:07 Greetings Future Recruits!
I've been with The Night Crew for a little over three months now. EVE is a completely different game for me now that I am here. Wormhole life is a blast! There's been a lot of activity lately and I'm making rediculous amounts of ISK....and having fun doing it!
The Night Crew is full of great people. Some experienced, some not so experienced, but pretty much all good people. Our CEO, TNT 1, personally interviews every applicant to make sure we're only bringing in those that will contribute and succeed.
Some of our great people:
TNT 1, CEO: His dedication and drive to push this corporation forward are amazing. Through his leadership, advancements are being made regularly and the corp's current and future greatness are assured.
Hirant, Supreme Commander of The Night Crew Fleet (ok so maybe that's not his actual title but it should be): You do NOT want to **** off this flying warrior. He is known for his ruthlessness and skill in all types of PVP. I went on my first successful POS bash with Hirant leading the way. He's also an amazing instructor. If you have the pleasure of serving with him, you'll learn the ins and outs of wormhole life from the best. Have a question on the best fit for your new ship? Nobody can give better advice than this man.
Skarrr, The Aussie Hunter: PVP with a smile. He's always looking to mix it up with whoever crosses his path. This is a great guy to hunt with. He can fly just about anything and always has a plan!
Tristan McCloud, Wormhole Director: Although he's a fairly new director, this man has his ducks in a row and keeps things running smoothly! There's nothing better than to log in and know that you've got an organized environment in place to support your gaming.
These are just a few examples... there are many, many more.
PVP, PVE, Industry... The Night Crew has it all. Come fly with us! You'll love it!

Here is a letter our CEO received last night from a corp we crossed paths with. I think this letter sums up our corp. (Please note, had to edit out any sensitive information.)
o7 From: V Sent: 2011.06.25 19:47 To: TNT 1,
Greetings,
I had the fortune/misfortune to run across your crew last night. They had a C4 that connected with my C4 and were using my static C3 to move supplies. Needless to say, I saw this as a hunting opportunity...however, I became the prey and lost two ships and a my alts pod. Unfortunate, but not a ragequitting loss. Still, your crew and especially Hirant impressed me very much. Not by killing my two ships (not that hard with the numbers they had) but by their procedures and actually having people watch the path. My hunts are usually successful because many WH pilots do not take the necessary steps to secure their paths in and out. This is something I do myself and I see so few corps doing it.
Chatting with Hirant, we struck a truce, which he honored though he clearly had the upper hand.
My reasons for speaking to you are numerous, but vengeance or sabotage are not among them. We can discuss them in more detail later should the need arise. But for now, I am wondering if you are still looking for WH pilots? I have a good crew of 6 or 7 experienced pilots who have been living in our WH for almost a year.
Everything I know and have read about you makes you an ideal candidate. Your numbers, procedures, philosophy, and stability are certainly desireable to us, and I think we can enhance your roster and WH operations.
Fly safe,
V

Its true with a sandbox game such as Eve that without people, there really isn't much. The Night Crew feels the same way about corporations in New Eden, without good people, there really isnt a reason to log in.

Living in the wormhole is so unpredictable. I think thats why it never gets tiring. Very rarely do i do the same thing two nights in a row. We might be running fleets, scanning our way to explore other systems, mining, building, PI, under attack, logistics, covert ops, you get the idea. You really never know what will happen each time you log on.
I've watched the Night Crew grow so much over the last year. Were filling out most time zones so there are people on around the clock. There seems to always be 3 - 6 fleets running that I can join. So many great new people have joined. Some very new to Eve, and others season vets just looking for a place they can call home.

Thank god for the crew!
I spent a lot of time wandering around the universe of New Eden. Aimless. The only voices were other lonely souls in local who felt the need to brag, or just trash talk. My first corp an NPC corp, if you could call it a corp. My second corporation an industry corp with a paranoid leader who seemed to value players by the the isk they brought in.
To finally be in a corp that has a nice size player base, but not too large that you get lost. A corp that the CEO spends time with each and every member and truly cares about their well being. A management style based on trust and working together as a team.
Its nice to have 200 people watching your back in New Eden and there to help you when you need it. Are there other corporations out there like this? Ones that have been around for 5+ years? Maybe, but I doubt it.

I think the thing that scared me most about Eve before even playing was rep it has for everything screwing everyone over. Piracy, espionage, and all that.
The funny thing is, I have really never seen any of that crap in our corp. Its basically a community of friends new and old hanging out together. Occasionally people will leave the corp, maybe to try there luck in 0.0, but they eventually come back or keep in touch.
Maybe were playing a different Eve than everyone else.

Last night running fleets, I got my first chance learning to fly a Basilisk or more commonly known as a "bassy" which is a support ship supplying shields and capacitor to other fleet members in need. It was a total blast, and a lot more focus than just targeting something and firing missiles.
I really like that the corp is always trying to teach me new aspects to Eve. There is a big push to have every member of each wormhole well rounded in most situation so we can work together better at a team.
If you haven't lived out in wormhole space, there is so much of Eve your just not seeing.

Not so much "opening" as brininging an existing, functional WH under your banner. That would be my crew. And we are glad to be here.
We have been living in this hole for a year now. I have been running in WH's for much longer than that. I watch people I come across and I know what it takes to function out here in w-space. I know when leadership and talent intersect and that is evident in TNC. I would not have had my corp merge with a second-rate corp, and even in my brief time with TNC, I can see we are going to have a bright future.
I don't make changes in corps often or lightly so trust me when I tell you they have a good thing going here. If you are a mature player and enjoy a good group to work with in w-space, I would give TNC a serious look.
Fly safe, but in w-space, fly paranoid ;)

Good corp to be in to learn the ropes of Wspace. We have invaded Night Crew Class 5 system, they have resisted with honor and evacuated as much assets as they could before the certain doom.
Good organization of fleets and good "know how" in wspace even though not all the members are Veterans.

This corp sounds absolutely amazing and may be just what i've been looking for. I have minimal WH-space experience (been living in a C1 for the past month), and can do just about anything from missions to mining (in a retriever atm), PI, scanning, and exploration. I can fly anything up to BS for Amarr, Galentte, and Caldari, but am mostly skilled towards Amarr.
I generally play late in the Evenings (-6 CST) and early mornings. If recruitment is still open I would love to talk with someone about the possibility of joining! "Greater in combat than she who conquers a thousand times a thousand is she who conquers herself." |

What is honor? I feel it can be how a corporation conducts itself in lawless space.
There are situations where doing what is honorable may not be the easiest choice, but its the right thing to do.
Honor is subjective. I guess one of the things I respect most about our corp is there is a no extortion policy. We do not hold people hostage for ransoms. We will aggress if being aggressed, but we do not extort.
Its things like this that make me respect our corporation more and gives it meaning to be a member.

Answer: The Night Crew has been around for 6 years now. I't the reason I joined this corp, after being in several smaller corps that were always in flux. I wanted a home that I wasn't worried about logging in one day and discovering there wasn't a corp. The Night Crew isn't going anywhere.

Question: Where is your corp based?
Answer: 90% of our corp exists in wormholes. 10% in empire. Some of the members in Empire are in a probationary period before we bring them into our WH training camp. Some just want to be in Empire. Occasionally corp members will leave our bases in the wormhole to go to Empire or 0.0 for some R&R.

but the most important: * Great people to be with. * Flexible hours (people from all TZs).

I'm interested in joining. You guys seem like the type of corp I'd be interested in. My question is whether or not you'd let this low sp character in. (< 1 mil)
Just got back into the game to check out Incarna, and I think I'll stick around for a while. Had played from early 2006 to late 2008 when I got bored and put my subscription on hold (CCP apparently deleted my account or something about a year ago..an account with 2 bil isk )
Anyway, I plan on going into a pure combat/support role with this guy over the course of the next couple months, and it'd be nice to have a good group to fly with.

Nihil, less than a million is pretty low. Usually a player with less than a million still is not sure what they want to do in this game. Since your not a new player though, you should put in an application, along with your limited API, TNT 1 will request an interview with you to see what your goals are and where you want to be in Eve. Make sure to let him know a little about yourself when submitting the application.

Why do you play Eve?
Its not really about isk, since its just virtual bs money. Its sure not mission running, man that gets tired fast. I think its because I enjoy logging in and hanging out with the people in this corp. Its more fun doing things together in this game whether its pve, pvp, industry, etc. What keeps this game fresh is the diversity of our corporations members. Incarna hasnt really brought a lot of new content to Eve, but every time I log on there is always something new to do with the Night Crew.

The love you're getting in this thread speaks volumes, so no questions there. But where would I have to live? I just moved my little fleet to a place in Mih I really like... would I have to move to work with you? On another note, me, I'm at over 9 mil SP atm, not a huge amount but fairly focused, specializing in CovOps and Exploration with all scanning-related skills at least at IV.

Thank you for the kind words Kitsune. To answer your question, in empire you could live wherever you please. Different ops are happening all the time, its up to you if you want to move anywhere. Once you get into one of the wormholes, well you would live there. Scanning is a good thing to skill up for, you will need that every day in wormholes. Another thing would be Tech 3 ships, they dont take up a lot of mass and offer decent firepower.
Looking forward to seeing you in the recruitment channel!

The Recruitment Channel -
Question: How important is PVP?
Answer: More and more people every day make the decision to venture into wormhole space, so much so, that its more likely your neighboring system will be occupied than not. The higher the class of wormhole, the less there are, making it also possible to see the same occupants more often. Fitting up some basic PVP ships is a smart thing, especially when there are hostiles in the system. This is something we can help with, using our corp fits, and giving you advice on what to fly. It doesn't take a lot to have basic PVP skills, and its very different than PVE.

I asked a potential recruit today what about our corp appealed to them in their search for a new home. The answer I got was that TNC didn't come off as desperate for new recruits. That we weren't looking for cannon fodder to fill the war effort.
I never thought of it that way, but it makes sense. We are what I consider a laid back corp with the emphasis on the individual. That's not to say we don't work together for a common goal, but every member is important.

I had someone in the recruitment channel say he couldn't talk long because it was against corp rules to subscribe to outside channels unless corp sanctioned.
You won't find silly demands placed on you in the Night Crew to how you play. In fleets you need to follow the FCs instructions, and there are times where we all pitch in to help. Outside of that we believe in letting people make their one choices how the want to play eve.

I've been a member of The Night Crew for about 8 months now. I have really enjoyed my time helping people in Empire and participating in Wormhole dives in my spare time.
Being a student doesn't offer me the time to live in a wormhole permanently, so I appreciate the -Real life comes first- policy the corp has. Also they are virtually no politics in the corp, everyone gets along great and is helpful.
If you are looking for a laid back corp with the opportunities to generate great friends and billions of isk, The Night Crew is where you need to be.

TNC is a corporation focused on life in wormholes, lately it seems more and more people who are just mission runners or industrialists in empire have been coming to the recruitment channel looking to join. They are looking for a laid back corp, low tax rate, and people to hang with when they get on. It makes sense why they come to us.
If this sounds like you, whether you want to live in wormholes or in empire, or just be part of something you believe in, stop by our recruitment channel and see what you think.

There are currently 2500 wormhole systems in Eve and most are apparently populated. When I first started with the Night Crew I remember being seeing people maybe once a week, if that. It was a lot of solitude and running sites. Now every system has someone in it means more than ever it's important to have combat skills in addition to other wormhole needed skills.
When you join TNC we will work with you on what skills you need to enter a wormhole system whether is be combat, scanning, pve or industry.

I've been traveling for almost two months now. Love how understanding our corp is with our RL obligations. I've never felt guilted or stressed because of my life outside Eve.
Today was my first day back into a new wormhole. I'd forgotten how exciting it is. It all came back as soon as I saw our pos. Wow what a set up to, these guys have their **** together, so excited about all the fun were going to have. Hisec mission running was starting to really wear me out!

Haven't seen a recent bump, are you still open to new recruits?
I'm pretty new to EVE (4.5M SP), and I spend pretty much all of my time running Hi-sec missions. I do plan to train for T3 and wormhole ops, but that's a couple of months down the road. In the meantime, I'm looking for a corp to collect my mission taxes.
Too early for me to look for a corp? Should I wait until my skillset will allow me to contribute in a more meaningful way?

Up to now I have been sticking to Tengus in our WHs, but last night we did a Legion fleet, I also got to bring out the Nightmare. We tore through sites in minutes. Within two hours I had earned about 220 million isk. Truth is, what I earned wasn't important, it was so much fun, and I really enjoy the people I fly with, what more could anyone ask?

Just a note, read through the thread for information on joining. One thing I'm seeing a lot lately are below 5m skill point players in our recruitment channel. We have been known to make exceptions on occasion, but our rule is we won't accept anyone under 5 million sps.
We feel that's the mark if a player wants to stick with Eve or not. Also by that time they have tried different things and have a better idea of what they want.

The Recruitment Channel -
Question: I have friends in empire I want to mission with, will I be able to take time off from wormhole living for some R&R ?
Answer: Happens all the time. We have pilots who take a week off to go to low sec, or empire to just change things up. Its up to you to scan your way out, and be sure to let your CO know your taking time off. If your planning on being out of the wormhole for an extended amount of time we will ask you to take your ships and stuff out, since space in wormhole space is precious.

Been in the recruitment channel the last few hours. I thought this corp was called The Night Crew! I was hoping in speaking with someone about joining. I'm a new player with less than 1 mil SP, but was hoping exceptions could be made. I think I put in an application and have just been sitting in the recruitment channel.

The recruitment channel is - The Night Crew Recruitment. There are usually people there. We only have directors in it, so you might have been on when no directors were available.
If you have submitted an application, that sounds good too, you will be contacted by TNT 1 the boss man, make sure to include your API.
Its very very rare we have ever taken anyone with less than 5 million sps.
