I followed the prompts and logged in, and then when reviewing the payment info, I read this: Your card will be automatically charged $19.95 for the first month and $14.95 for every month of game time thereafter until you change your payment method or cancel your account. Your subscription will be activated immediately. Now, I am no rocket surgeon.. but that don't read right. Did I end up on the wrong page? Offer expire prematurely? Verbiage incorrect? Also, while I have a topic open.. One of the only things I really enjoy in EvE is having multiple characters (realistically requiring multiple accounts). I know that you sometimes promotionally have discounts for multiple accounts (power of two), but is there a long term option that can be considered? I love the time I spend in EvE, but I don't want to spend $30-45 bucks (or plex equiv) a month to play it. Even something marginal (so long as it is consistent) would be of great value. If you asked me personally what having two accounts was worth in EvE on a monthly basis, I would say $20.00. Maybe I am cheap, but in comparison to other MMOs and the boon of only realistically having a sole active character per account... EvE is overpriced for the multi-account player. To reactivate an account which was active beyond the first month and then went inactive, it only costs 14.95, if paying on a month to month basis. I recently did this after being inactive for almost 2 years, so the extra $5 is only once per account no matter how long you've gone inactive and come back. edit: I only pay for one account with my own money and then get my other characters/accounts active by trading ISK for 60 day GTCs.

They said Incursion would be out in time during my subscription, and from the looks of it now, it'll be before January when my sub ends. Incursion has been delayed to Jan... Trickery! Think i can try to convince to extend my sub to when incursion comes? After all, they did promise falsely!

There is no additional button on the account management page as described by others in this thread. I've submitted a petition. While I wait, has anyone worked around this?

(I did get the 5 free days but was never able to find out how to pay for the 60 days) Am just wondering as I was unable to find how to activate it, and it appears I could only pay standard prices, I submitted a petition but that was over a day ago now and no response, Im glad i wasn't having troubles where I was stuck, cause that would really suck! Anyway I guess now that it is past the expiry date of the offer I won;t be able to accept it anymore, it was just an empty promise that did pan out, I was looking forward to coming back to eve, as I did enjoy playing it, though 5 days is not enough to get the bug to get back into it and if they aren't going to give what they promised I don't really wat to give them my money. The price isn't really an issue as I have plenty of cash, it simply the principle that they should honour what they offered. Guess I will have to go and find another game to play if they won't honour the deal...

I was automatically charged for 1 month at full price just for updating my credit card info, no "special button" in sight. Just got the same offer on my 2nd account, and without changing or doing anything else I have scoured the account page for anything resembling a discount-option, to no avail. And my petition regarding my first account, from the 24th (wednesday), remains unanswered. Luckily I paid with credit card, with 40 days to make the actual payment, so if my petition don't get a satisfactory answer within a reasonable time I will consider the offer a scam and stop the payment. And remain highly sceptical of CCP in the future. Have anyone with similar trouble gotten their petitions resolved/how long did it take?

I was in similar situation. Unfortunately if the transaction failed they can not make the offer reappear. However they offered me solution where if I resub for a month they will add 15 days to my sub so price per day will end up same. I took that offer, getting 45 d for 14.95. If I understood stuff correct then their billing system crashed for a little while and all who tried to take the 60d offer and got error as a result of transaction are now flagged as already received the offer and thus do not qualify to it anymore. While GM's probably do not have that level access to actually erase transactions from your transaction history. Even if this transaction is "error" instead of "paid".

If you don't, good for you, but there's no need to be an ass about it. Oh, and my second characters account got the offer just two days ago: "Offer expires December 2nd, 2010". The expiry date on the offer isn't the same for everyone. And as long as you activated the 5 day free-offer in time, that should be enough, as the 60 day offer is just an extension of the same offer.
