Edited by: Rivendark on 16/12/2010 18:30:41 Hey Gem, I'm back!
So I was taking a look at your character assembler and I gotta say it is going to be really neat once it gets polished. However...It is hugely clunky to use right now, and there is one major flaw in the coding that I would have torn my hair out if I wasn't looking for something like it. If you add a skill that has the same skillset for prereqs as another skill that is already added, but the new one has lower rank requirements, the assembler will automatically reset the prerequisite skills down to the lower levels, thus making you have to re-edit it by hand.
For example, if you add exhumers before Mining Barge, when you add the barge skill it will lower your mining and astrogeology levels to 4 and 3 respectively when they were previously at 5 and 5. But it does look like it's lining up with the appraiser value of this character so no glitches there.
Edit: one suggestion for bettering the interface would be to put the skills under bolded headers in the drop down according to what skillset they are grouped under. Otherwise it is very difficult to find skills in a timely manner.

Levels now stay the level they previously were when you add skills with lower prerequisites. However it seems a new bug has surfaced where i can't modify the level of a skill already added and have to add the skill again at the correct level, which is more of an issue that makes it clunky more so than unusable. Haven't tried out the EFT import yet, but if I find anything I will let you know.

Edit: just quickly checked it and it seems to work as intended could you tell me which skills you used?
It appears to be industry skills, have now double checked this at work and at home and it's the same thing for things like mining and industry skills. Can't change the level of the skill from the list of current skills, have to "add" the skill again
