I'm not all that experienced in this game but I've been studying and paying attention to what I was taught, and deciding what I wanted to do. I tailored some skills towards pvp and thought that maybe high sec wars might be a decent place to get my feet wet, so I signed up with these "mercs". They're just fail. We don't even pvp, in fact we log off when WT's are online, and go to test server to "pvp where it isn't lame". So long story short, I thought I would check out some other small merc corps to see what is up. I picked Lonetrek Salvage kind of at random off the c and p forums. Contacted this Victoria Ehr chick/manchick, did the whole api recruiting thing and etc. Then there was a 50m recruiting fee. I thought about it for awhile, I figured there was a decent chance it was a scam, but these guys are supposedly mercs, and what the heck, 50 mil is chump change anyway, so I forked over the entry fee. Of course, fee was scam. After a triumphant mail about being owned, I got blocked by Victoria. I'm just a bit amazed though. Since when is 50m a scam to be impressed by. I accidentally made more than that once when my drones blew up a rat while I was afk. Good on ya Victoria. In the mean time, if anyone is looking for a reasonably knowledgeable and enthusiastic noob, I'm right here.

I got a Low Grade Slave implant off a rat while afk'ing in a belt. I'm pretty certain I'm not the only person in Eve to ever get that. I'm not certain about your questioning my judgment about taking a Star Wars name. It is widely recognized as a top ten movie for millions, if not billions of people, so I would guess that you are in the minority there. You probably even have the widescreen dvd collection on your shelf somewhere. As for not being useful, I was looking for a corp in order to become a useful player. I maintain confidence that I will eventually find one and prove myself. A last comment. I wasn't looking for friends. I was just looking for some fleet mates for pvp.

I have not yet gotten into the habit of strange off topic posts, insults, logical fallacies as argument pillars, and puerile comments like "u mad". I'm also an attorney, and I like debating. They don't let you scream at people very often where I work.
