Would it be possible to change the hull repairer sound back to what it was?
IÆve noticed that itÆs been changed recently and itÆs rather loud and cycles off with a c-rackle in my speakers.
It also appears not to be a proximity sound, so regardless of how far you are from the ship thatÆs using it, itÆs at the same level æloudÆ.
So pretty please, with sugar on top, can we get it changed back or at least its play level lowered, if anything just to save my sub speaker from popping whenever I warp in near someone using it.

The sound c-rackle is incidental, probably because of the WAV sound level I have set and due to this being louder than other sounds in EVE it gives the c-rackle as it tails off.
Tbh the reason I posted is mainly because the sound is annoying and really just doesn't fit in with the rest of sounds and spoils the ambient effect.
Nothing like dropping out of warp at a station to a VERY load BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBbbbbbbrrrrrrrrrrrpppppppppppp (c-rackle) BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBrrrrrrrp (c-rackle)
Especialy annoying when you run agent missions out of Rens and there are always ships outside the Brutor statin 'fixing' themselves up.
Oh and I'm not the only one that doesn't like the sound, quite a few other locals in Rens don't like it either. |

Hey Mr FxSoundDev!
Sorry but sound in EVE drops my FPS down dramatically so I never play with sound on just like hundreds of others.
Hope you aren't too bummed about it!
Thanks!

I hate it......when I'm in Rens there is always some guy who is hull repairing outside brutor tribe station.
it is so hard for those ppl to just go to a moon or something.
the hull repair sound is the most irritating sound in EVE. get rid of it please

The Hull Repair sound is bugged.
Why, because the sound always sounds equal regardless of your range to the one who uses it (or the view range you choose)
It stops only if you use max zoom out.

Yeah, this sound effect sucks. Couldn't work out what it was when I first started using a hull repairer. Thought I was getting some sort of interference on my speakers.

Fear my ebil Scorp of Auditory Overload Highslots: Cardboard boxes Medslots: 8x Hull Repairers activated in a phased order Lowslots: More Cardboard. Cardboard rox
I have won several fleetbattles with this tactic...alone. After i am done over-repairing my hull, all ships in space hang there idle. I assume all the pilots died of seizures or something, i dont care. Wonder what happend to CA? Running missions out of Brutor 8 in Rens sucks in general because of...
A. The way ships leave a station often sees at least half a dozen idly parked ships on the exit which you have to traverse before being able to warp out. Also some tard has seen fit to leave cans lying directly on the exit and you have to avoid these as well.
B. Of those half dozen ships clogging up the road you can guarentee at least one is sat there hull repairing. Hardly a crime i agree but just sitting there causing the great brutor humpfest as just about every ship type in the game attempts to avoid you is.
C. The insane sound of the hull repairer really has to be heard to be believed. I play with sound on as i am usually browsing the web or doing other stuff while in warp or just travelling and the sound will alert me to any potential mishaps. However the second you approach brutor 8 or exit the station there your subjected to a mind numing sensation akin to a torture device and no matter how near or far you are from the person repairing there is no escape until you warp out but see points A and B as to why this torture is prolonged.

Don't know what you are talking about. No one has ever seen the Hull of my Tempest If you all would stop getting your arse kicked, the problem would be solved Perhaps this is why CCP is boosting ships hitpoints? ____ If your not dyin' your not tryin'. |

GM Q was in Rens last night and removed the cans the were blocking the entrance. As luck would have it, whilst he/she was parked there outside the station, someone undocked and proceeded to use a hull repairer. So I drew their attention to it in local and hopefully this willbe pointed out to the devs a bit quicker. After all Rens is probably now one of the busiest systems in EVE and you don't want all those players (150 odd every night) constantly complaining about a bad sound. |
