It's not like you'll be able to use the ship really because they'll get ganked a bit in the beginning. Wait it out for a week, then buy it at less inflated prices.

First will be probably built in the same ORE system in a POS just for bragging rights as being the first one to build one. And then the same guy will blow it up with his alt and claim to be the first one to have ganked one of those.
About hour later they will start appearing in Jita, first one most likely around 1 bil and then rapidly dropping to the 100 mil area and few days later you can get dozen for ~35 to 40 mil a piece. BPO's will hold the price slightly longer but will drop within a week to the NPC price + 5 .. 10 %.
Business as usual.

And yes, they will die horribly
So probably similar in cost to a Tier 2 T1 BC? I think a Hurricane loss pays out that amount or near enough at the moment.

Yep. There's people who want to have every possible ship on their gank list.

The dev blog says otherwise. Do you have a source, or are you just trying to deter competitors from risking the inevitable gatecamps?

One popped up for 160 mil in amarr but was gone the next refresh so I imagine you won't have too long to wait.

What?! Waiting until Saturday? Are you insane!?

BTW its a sad commentary on the players in the game that to be the first for a stupid ship that has no combat capabilities .. to pay a crapload of isk for a salvager .. laugh laugh even more. For the problems that we have had in the past with Eve they should of had a trade in program to get rid of the damn useless primae

BPOs are at 390kk from NPCs in outer ring but today in jita they were bought instantly for over double that price Ppl made a nice profit from getting carriers or whatever into ore station before patch not all of them made it back though - http://evemaps.dotlan.net/system/4C-B7X 900+ kill in 24 hours |

Edited by: Miss Jools on 01/12/2010 14:17:30 Headed to 4c 2 hours before DT, and found some 60 neutrals in local. Chat was like Jita, with all people anticipating the patch, and declaring this a "Noctis day".
Warped to one of the ore stations in mu nullified cloaky T3, only to find myself decloaked by the bloody moon :/ Scared the hell out of me, warped off quickly.
2nd station was better, and docked. Being confident, I undocked, speeded up and make an insta 190k from the undock, knowing that bubbles wouldn't catch me :P
DT hit, 30 mins extended, and used the eve server status website to preload the patch, ready to go. When the servers went back up, I logged on, applied the "warp to" patch and logged in, expecting to be one of the first. But noooooooooo, there was already 40 people in local.. Bummer !!!!
Hit market button, Search Noctis Blueprint, BUY !!!! YAY, I got 12 !! Wohooo WTF, they're not in my hangar !
OMFG, I bought then in the OTHER station! Goddamn, undock, insta warp (zillions of bubbles up, don't care. Dock in other station, scoop, and wait for others to undock so I would be one of many.
That worked :) Undocked, aligned out, and never was targetted before I hit warp.
From there it was easy. Nullified T3 cruisers don't bother about drag bubbles.
Sold : 9 PBO's for 10% markup to alliance Sold : 3 BPO's for 100M profit each (490M)
Total profit is about 650M for an afternoon of fun, good enough for me :)
ME5 bpo ships will cost about 35M each, I expect the ship price to stabalize around 40M.

Yeah guys in my alliance are trying to sell them for 150 or so in period basis. My corp got a pair of prints too and are making them for corp at 55 cause we aren't SFEP jerkwads justifying ripping off our own people "because that's what jita has them priced at."

They're about 120m in Amarr, also on ganking - lots of them were coming out of the station yesterday and no one was bothering to attack them.

People with T3's and their covops and their nullifiers dont have to worry about getting ganked while picking up thousandsa of bpo's.
Tash-Murkon prime had 20k bpo's for 1m each and I am sure Jita folk bought most of them. Everyone simply builds their own. The noctis hasn't brought any real profit to anyone. Thanks to t3 'I win eve' ships.
