Anyone gonna front up the 500+ mil isk for one of these? I am sure they are cheaper in other regions of space, but so far all I have seen is 500mil give or take.
Any ideas on how long these prices are going to stay like this?

Edited by: Arcii on 01/12/2010 01:44:15 It's called supply and demand. Supply is low at the moment, while a lot of people want this ship, so yeah... prices are terribly high. Looking at the market history, I see some people have already spent these insane amounts of money. Most likely reason: FIRST! :P Anyway... as soon as more people start making these ships and more people have bought them, prices will drop and stabilize. Not sure how long this will take. May be a week, may be a month or more. I know I want one, but I'll wait a bit :)

Check the BPO and you'll see the mineral price of the ship isn't terribly high. Just give the market some time for the supply to kick up. |

Just checked amarr and there was one for 150 mil. In about a week they will be a bit over cost because producers have no clue about how to keep prices high.

Given that the absolute minimum price has dropped from about 180m when I first saw them on the market to 80m I'd say they've already dropped pretty fast.
I doubt they'll drop much lower than 50-60m for a bit, at least not until some BPs come out of the ME cooker and the build price, if you buy all the minerals off the market, drops to around 38-40m dependant on mineral prices. Right now the build price based off of mineral sell orders is only 43-45m in some regions, but the builders also have to recoup the BPO costs hence my 50-60m price range.

Also, the price will be under 40 mil in a week. Or 10 days tops.

picked one up for 80m earlier, love it so far! and once they change mwd in missions, i'll be able to burn a mwd and vacuum everything up easy. fit it with 3 nanos, because with 3 cargo expanders it's like driving a city block.

^^ This. To be more clear:
Noctis is genitive singular of nox (night). Assuming we want to keep the genitive, the plural form is noctium ù if not, it would be noctes, but that means something rather different. ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

Ius primae noctis or the ôright of the first night,ö sometimes known as droit de seigneur, is a legendary right which was supposedly held by feudal lords. According to the terms of this right, the lord of the manor had the right to the marriage bed on the first night of a serf or peasant's marriage.

Damn, 140mil sounds nice haha. I am in the black rise region right now, so the price inflation shouldn't really surprise me. Thanks for all the replies though =)

A ship that takes 3 hours to build and where all the minerals to build it can be fit in a single transport ship...Is anyone surprised prices are dropping so fast?

My new favorite setup. Orca with a Noctis, Tengu, and Raptor. Orca boosts and moves to mission systems, also carries the loot, mods, ammo, etc and the Raptor for zipping around getting multiple missions from agents in the area. I is happy :)

Last check they are selling in Jita for 62M
Given that they cost 43M to build from a 0me print thats not a bad deal for day 1. The BPO are not cheap ( 390M ) and have to be run in from null sec through naughty gate campers wanting to steal the shiney cargo.

We're writing in English, not Latin or Greek ya'll.
Although, what the hell. The made up plurals sound fun. Just as long as I don't see any "bonii"...

I would like to point out that none of those words are English.

Sure. But your construction of their pluralized form definitely is, at least as far as we're writing in English to talk to each other on the Intertubes. I have no idea what the pluralization would be in Icelandic...
Bah. I'm going to go put my language troll hat back in the closet.
Back to the OP:
Prices tend to drop to a stable point once a number of manufactures get the ME of their blueprints to an efficient level. New ships are always inefficient to make to begin with (ED: also, builders rightly assume they can mark up the price on the first wave of buyers), and it takes a few months before proper research and market competition bring the price down.
I'm thinking it'll be spring before we see a stable, sustainable low price...or maybe later.
