This was my initial interpretation as well.
So, we getting the awesomeness effect back? Plz?

After having viewed this video, it seems ot be like it's a Spectre Frigate at an angle either facing towards or away from the camera so that the elongated part of the hull doesn't appear to be super long but still makes the 'point' on the cone.

How does one view the login screen without the login ui borders? So you just see the space scene.

unfortunately guys, its just a bug. if you had logged on Sisi, you would have seen that in the intro screen, a sansha frigate is supposed to undock from the station and warp off. On TQ, it does not, however, that effect occurs with about the same frequency.

If this is true, I am majorly sad. And I can see it easily being true.

Looks like a machariel with the model bugged to be invisible from this angle. Can you get a top down picture of it or just one that differentiates it from the Machariel?

Those are too big to be frigates tbh, they're cruisers at least. The fact you can't see them right now may have something to do with retexturing of Sansha ships in Incursion (they might even be there but you can't see it, since volumetric shadows are not on Tranquility yet).
Anyways, i'm pretty sure there was a similar effect on Singularity in addition to docking/undocking cruisers, so i doubt it's a bug. It does look a bit like one of the Jovian frigates at an odd angle. I'm not completely sure that's what it actually is, but the login screen alone really isn't enough to tell wtf that thing is supposed to be anyway.

Like I said, I'm pretty sure it's the Jovian 'Spectre' Frigate from an angle of the ship either facing towards or away from the camera (but not sideways)

It could be a Spectre but I think its a Wraith, either way it is definitely Jovian in style.
It is SOP for the Jove to pay close attention to (spy on) their subjects. This seems especially likely for Sansha in Jove space as the major empires.
