CCP Navigator C C P C C P Alliance	Posted - 2010.12.10 17:22:00 - [1] The Icelandic Yule Lads have managed to get hooked up with internet access and may be visiting a Fansite, forum or social network page that you frequent soon. Intelligence reports indicate that they will operate from Sunday, December 12 through to Friday, December 24. Luckily, we have a way of tracking them down and disabling internet access with help from a CONCORD hit squad, but we will need your help. On the run up to Christmas we need you to find posts on forums, comments on news articles on media sites or social networking replies by these mischief makers and let us know about them. You will need to be vigilant on your favorite sites and be quick to react. In order to win we need you to find posts from the Yule Lads, who are listed in the link above, then link the post or comment to this thread. The first player each day to find a post, comment or social networking message will win the prize for that day so you need to keep your eyes open! Well it is possible that you will not be able to register with that nickname, as they have already done so. Kertasnfkir, Joined: 05 Dec 2010. Since this competition was announced after that I would assume that is the real guy, and not some player scamming. if that is the fact, then it means all other nicknames have already been registered, so you can go to different sites and search through registered users for any of the youle lads. kinda makes the contest pointless if we know in advance where they are going to post that day and just keep spamming f5 guess they could register all of the nicknames on all sites, so we at least would not know which day that site will be hit. ah well...

Search engines are more than up to the task of assisting capsuleers in this contest, even without attendant metadata, but we need to be able to get to the site. If I have to join a social network, organization, club, or whatnot (other than CCP) to participate, then I'm certainly less inclined to participate.

While I appreciate that this can cause frustration, the Community team have a planned list of which lad is posting, on which site and with a certain pre-arranged text. This is to ensure that the correct person wins on each day. Q3: I don't think it is fair that I need to register at a lot of different sites to be able to win. Why are you doing this to me? A3: There is no need to register on most sites as you will have read access on the vast majority of them.
