I was on autopilot and passed through a few regions in quick succession while browsing the Market. I was checking out T2 Cruisers because I plan to train one soon and saw something weird. While on Average region to region the price is always close to 100-120 except one ship. The Eagle is 56-67 Mil in most region and that is and average, not a low ball number of the cheapest.
So I am wondering the following:
* Is it only because it is a horrible ship?
* Are all HAC's that cheap to manufacture?
* Are they loosing ISK on selling this ship?
* Why are they produced if they sell so low?
Free trade is confusing.

Yeah I know that, it also isn't much of a Blaster boat ethier with the lack of Drone Bay.

No, it's because of their low fuel consuption.

You imply that those who make them are the same who sell them. There are plenty of Eagles in EVE and there is no reason to fly one. Given that there is no reason to use it there is no reason not to sell it either.

Eagle itself is already very meh, not enough PG for a Hybrid ship. Combined with the fact that Railguns are totally useless noone who knows better uses them.

Ship is bad, rails are worse. Rarely seen it used, so expect no one produces them anymore and the remaining are just stockpiles waiting to be sold.
I expect for a 'loss', but if you get your own materials your just getting paid less for them than if you built another ship.

They are still great for podding and sometimes sniping frigates. But they were nerfed a couple years ago or rather rails I use to fly the Eagle is a good ship but not really anymore I still have mine actually. Proper fit they can lock a pod in no time and insta pop it but others can do this also.
Beagle used to be feared and frigates scattered when a 160 to 200km Sniping Eagle showed up. Not sure anymore.

Think the problem is, it's a sniper boat and the Cerb does it better.
Does it have a place? I would have to say no for pvp because there are better ships to pvp in. But, if you want an interesting time doing missions you could do a lot worse than try them in a Beagle. It's not easy and you have to watch where you are going all the time, but it is very involving. Got to the end of vengeance and had enough dps to pop Rachen Mysuna.

Quite possible. But chances are they're making a token profit (and I really mean a token profit, as in, they could probably earn more by manufacturing T1 ammo)

Because some people feel guilty for having one of the fabled T2 ship BPOs and not using it.
Alternatively, they just fail to do the proper math and take a loss from ship manufacture, but probably make a larger profit from component manufacture, so they mistakenly assume ship manufacture is profitable (I've seen weirder stuff happening, and in some borderline cases, this is actually justified, in case the ship would sell faster than the components, although for an Eagle, that's hardly the case).

Ha! true, I have a BPO and I have not build one in 2 years. it's just not worth it.
So you could say its highly researched,
Better off inventing basilisk's tbh.
Eagle sucks, even when you can build as cost. 
I got ganked at Za'Ha'Dum, but I am ok now. |

Rails will probably get some attention in the next year or so.
Beams sucked awhile back, then got looked at.
Arty sucked more recently, and got looked at.
It's the nature of things. Cross-training is your friend.

I heard they are fixing it by buffing the Falcons Sensor strength. So it will be harder to counter jam.

Falcon pilots should just learn to fit the counters (Signal Distortion Amplifiers) and HTFU, noobs, I bet they are 12 irl, <insert random personal attack here>.

Rails are great, anyone who says differently is smoking crack.
Even greater is the Eagle. Super sniper, super blaster, it's versatile and can pack a good shield hp and resists. It is too under rated and its a shame.
