I wanted to totally thank you CCP for destroying the game for me with PI
Totally amazing ccp should Give idiot classes in economics 101, The robotics needed to make my T2 drones have jumps from 8k pre pi to 59k post pi and the drone prices have not increasedà
I used to log in 2 accounts about 30mins per day or 1 hour per day and do invention and manf on 6 toons after PI hit it destroyed the profit margin on T2 drones completely,
I was forced to do pi to make any money PI is way to BLEEPING Time consuming Way Way Too Time Consuming Make IT like Skill Training BLEEPHOLES I DonÆt want to click 20 PINS OVER AND OVER Let me CLICK ONCE AND BLEEPING WAIT,

If the price of a component has risen, then the price of the final good WILL go up eventually (barring an equivalent decrease in the prices of the other components).
Until then, make something else? You have played EVE for 4 years, and all you have done in that time is manufacture T2 drones?

2nd time you post this.. at least.
As for your problem with pushing your manufacturing cost through to the consumers: HTFU. I have to deal with the same ****. Do you see me whining on the forums?
Either buy up the others people stuff and relist it or change your field.
If this means your former gold-field isn't any more.. so what?
I had to change profession 4 times already as either other people came after me and cut profits down from 30% to a mere 5% or CCP nerfed something related to my field so the profits dwindled also.. most of manufacturing profits are made by acquiring the raw materials for your stage at lower cost than what the sell in Jita says anyway.
So all I can say really is HTFU and adapt or die(ig).

I spend about 30 minutes a day, doing my PI, and I make about 15-20M from it, per day.
So.. where exactly is this a problem?
Also, read up on the new PI interface, or check it out on Sisi.

You have right to be mad at PI. PI was not created for the players of EVE. PI was created for DUST. DUST is being created so CCP can make more profits. CCP did not care what kind of impact PI would have on the market.

Isnt in like exactly 2 weeks a certain patch coming out? Wouldnt there be any sort of "hiccups" when going from one system (Npcs) to a new system (in player hands)?
Too be a successful business shouldn't you have a backup plan or say diversify? |

I too used to make the same drones as yourself, i used to make a good deal of profit from it.
However i used my eyes and brain to keep other irons in the fire, and when i saw the ship going down i moved onto other products, just like IRL, you cant expect to keep doing the same thing over and over for years.
This is the beauty of eve economy, its swings and roundabouts, and if you dont keep holding on you are gonna fall off eventually.

I touch PI two times per day on one account. I make robotics with this account, using hi-sec systems. In a day, i probably produce about 125 Robotics. Given the Jita sell price of 60000, that's 7.5 million a day. If I get to cycle 3 to 4 times, the profit rises. I have about 20*6 extractors, so that's 120 double clicks, plus a little extra. So realy, it's easy, it's fast (I was able to cycle my extractors in 10 minutes before down time), and it's profitable. I don't really see why you haven't switched to robotics, or at least added PI to make your drones profitable again. Your loss, not ours.

Well, while I'll generally agree that the prices of Robotics are a bit ridiculous, I'm certain it'll work out sooner rather than later for simple reasons:
Why make any other good, when robotics pays so much more? More and more people are catching on to it, and the supply of robotics is increasing all the time. This lowers supply of everything else - and prices will balance, I'm sure of it. This can only stay so profitable for so long.
I am one of those that looked into PI to see if I could make a buck. After a quick look on the production sheets, robotics looked good. A quick glance at the market confirmed it. I'm running robotics PI with all three chars on my account, and I do it in low sec for extra oomph. It's not that time consuming either. I spend 10 minutes per day and char on colony resurveying, and hauling. Every two days or so, I bring a full load of robotics into a trade hub. All in all, I think maybe my PI takes 40 minutes a day. That's a hell of a profit / hour. It's far better than any other profession. Of course, for a "passive income" it's a lot of work. I'm just not sure CCP intended it to be a completely passive income.
I do question CCPs lack of thought, when they decided that robotics had to be ingredients in the creation of other commodities, and not just a POS fuel, which in itself is a pretty steep consumption of robotics. I'm sure it'll balance in the end though, even though more time is needed. We may end up with 3/4 colonies manufacturing robotics, but hey, that's no problem if it balances things out.
There is a PI update on the way as well. Let's hope it provides something good for the industry.

1: You can be mad about anything you like, it doesn't mean anyone else will be.
2: PI was created for players of EVE "and" players of DUST. It is to be one of the links that connects the two games.
3: Of course CCP created DUST so that CCP can make more profits. What are you... 12? Profit does not = a bad thing. Profit is what keeps CCP, and EVE, up and running.
4: Of course they care about what kind of impact PI has on the economy. However now we have gotten to the point where the laws of supply and demand are beginning to exert their influence. At this point if prices are high on Robotics (and the prices remain low on T2 Drones) there is a player driven reason for it, and eventually both will find their own level. CCP's input into it at this point is minimal.
5: Intelligent industrialists will make a profit in this environment, people mindlessly grinding isk in the ways they are used to will not. This would be the PVP element of industry in EVE at work.
