I should probably put somewhere that the kill/loss data is taken from the previous year, it's not meant to be an exhaustive list but rather to give a flavour of corp "potency", and to feed the algorithm that tries to work out residency. It's pulled from Eve-Kill so will be as accurate as that is. |

brilliant, just the thing explorers need. i found the k-space info pretty accurate, too. saves watching at killboards, discerning the usual kill times and then looking up the, as they call it, "tactical data" at e.g. my-eve.
minor wish: maybe you could add second and third most active as well (for k-space)? |

Bugs, bugs, bugs..
In working on this I've discovered quite a few bugs mainly related to the kill feed from Eve-Kill. Without going into specifics the data received by its API doesn't match the website in all cases, and is either missing a kill here and there or - in the worst cases - the "last kill" isn't actually the last kill at all.
I've also tweaked the system so that instead of re-scraping the Eve-Kill API every day it will maintain a cache that it will just add to as each day passes (logical since once kills have occured they aren't likely to change)
I have some tweaks to make to the residency & intel algorithms this weekend so apologies in advance for any performance or buggy behaviour while I'm working on it. |

Thanks :)
I'm going to be making some tweaks to the residency algorithm shortly - there's a few things it doesn't factor in yet which it should, as well as eliminating people that have probably been evicted a long time ago, etc.
I've created a seperate development website to test things on instead of leaving debugging on the live site for a few hours like I managed to do yesterday I didn't do this before because I wasn't expecting it to be used a lot - I originally posted this thread hoping that maybe a few people would be interested enough to take a look
I'm aware that some people are experiencing errors on a few systems, this again relates to the residency algorithm and some spurious data.
Thanks to those of you that sent an ISK donation - was greatly appreciated. |

Something I feel I should add after getting some feedback yesterday is regarding trust...
The site doesn't need trust to work - in fact currently the only function that requires trust is automatically refreshing your location (so it can know where you are). Originally I had set up the site so that it would ask you as soon as you visited to trust it - I realise now that this was probably not a good idea because why would you trust something you've never used? To this end I've disabled the popup asking for trust - people will have to decide to trust the website (or not) themselves.
The site doesn't store anyones queries or log anything besides basic webstats. Systems that are checked are cached for a period of time to provide a speedier response for subsequent queries.

Very slick site. The simplicity makes it very useful. The bit I have tested (the system I may or may not be in... >.>) was acurate and I can't wait to try it out more. Keep up the good work :). |

This has been fixed with the most recent update.
I have completely overhauled the residency algorithm - it now considers a few more events that it previously didn't, as well as tweaking the layout a bit.
More functionality changes coming soon. :) |

The statics are in a local database that was created probably over a year ago, they aren't scraped from anywhere. If there is an updated list anywhere (preferably in SQL format) I'd love to know :) |

Yeah I also found a few where wormhol.es is wrong, obviously wrong like having c4's with k-space statics, but wormnav is correct.
I wonder where wormnav gets its data. |
