Since I hate spineless people, I thought it would be fun to hang them out for the public to display
Sibiest of R.u.S.H, thank you for warping to planet 6 in p-zmzv, get scrambled and webed by a Harpy and a malediciton, while you are in your Amrageddon. You didnŠt even try to take out 2 attackers..instead you log off, and after a while...your ship disapears. Fight with honor, or donŠt fight at all.
Dedrex of R.u.S.H, very brave of you to pull the same stunt...twice. First time your ship vanishes, second time you got killed anyway, try and fight back next time...coward

RUSH is a very good pvp corp
you shouldn't talk **** bout them
and Sibiest is not spineless

I donŠt care how very good u think they are, I didnŠt say all off them are lame now did I????
Either way, she came back online, warped back to the planet, this time we were waiting (10 min later btw). she ofc loged again, but her ship didnŠt vanish this time, it mutated into a can...
This isnŠt whining, or crying, this is letting people know how spineless others in game are..

Funny you carebear rats are. You whine because people log off when YOU attack them and then whine to CCP. Then, you go turn around and do it yourselves and try to make yourselves out to be some uber little *snip* kid behind the PC.

not sure what my mate used, he just sent me the links before he loged (in station!!! ) IŠll post back when I know.
And someone posted something I donŠt get. These people were apart of a fleet that came to attack us, they all loged, and they then tried to log on and sneak out. And come on..1 harpy and 1 malediction is system and the best idÚa he can come up with is log off??
Either way, the rest of the fleet came back together, went 1 jump out from where they loged, and stayed to fight. All respect to Corak, WRWR, Hassis, Blackclaw, Tar gorthaur, Hollo carian, and sorry for anyone missed!

Log-offers should be severely punished by the GM's. They spoil other people's fun and sense of accomplishment after winning a fight. Dev's should really change the logoff conditions.
So you actually lose a ship to CTD, tough luck, the logoff bastards spoiled it for you.

Yeah... We have DedRex on tape red handed TWICE, and I do believe we have Sibiest as well. The Sibiest incident(s) happened just today, but im sure the video will be released soon. Undeniable proof of exploit. The question is, is there a punishment? what will the punishment be? and will it be an appropriate punishment?

Hey don't worry from what I just heard (not saying from who ) this is a perfectly ok tactic CCP have no probs with this logging to save your ship, It's all A'OK.
It's in the manual page 43 paragraph 5 subsection 12 to save your ship just log off or hit the power button really fast, now enjpoy eve.

Couldn't agree more.
If you are scrambled and webbed and going down and then your ship disappears (for whatever reason... ctd or log off) you should still lose the ship.
I have been pvp'ing for a year and a half now and no-one in RKK has CTD'ed while being ganked... the odds on it happening must be pretty damn low.

CTDs do happen in combat now and then. I have seen them happen and it has happened to me. But, if you log in fast enough, you can still see your ship go down and smile.
Seeing a loved ship go down is a game experience no-one should be willing to miss.

i actully crashed once. But then again i did that vs 5 bs shootin at me. So they got me. And man had i got back in and they sit at the gate i still fought them outnumberd.
As said before me in the post. Logg of is the lamest thing to do. Its a game. And its for fun, logging of i a bad thing to do then ;/. Run is nothing wrong whit. Defently not. But logg off ;////
Yeah had posted alot about this logg off thing last days. And eve is losing all its fun becouse of the logg of tactis that are being used ;/
Man get some selfasteam ffs.

I'm with DBP on this one.
Somehow none of our people EVER crashes while being ganked.
I find that mightily coincidental.
Logging off is the most despicable thing you can do in this game. And the fact that CCP for lack of a spine has not only not done anything about it, but even said that it's perfectly ok to log off is even worse.
But tbh, I'll just have to divide the eve population into two camps. The loggers and the real people.

I have ctd'd during combat once, lost an apocalypse in 6NJ through it. Very unfortunate and I was a little pee'd off but oh well
as regards to logging off in combat, I would rather stand and fight and lose my ship. |

Happened to me last night in Nonni, was fighting a Deimos in my Mega all was going well when a few more ships jumped in on me.
Started warping to a planet, all my locks unlocked so thought I must be about to warp, my structure was still going down, then all of a sudden I was at the planet then back to the station and so on and so on.
This lasted for about 2 minutes, my armour rep was repairing and everything looked ok bar the 5% structure :) I asked in local if I was dead or in a pod.
Next thing I know I'm staring at my desktop. Logged straight back in and all was fine, I was sat at a planet.
Been experiencing some strange lag recently and I've had more CTD's as of late than during my past 12 months here.

If you haven't already, run a spyware sweeper and virus checker on your machine. The RKK guys try and run this once every fortnight and it seems to help in keeping the lag and random problems down.
You wouldn't believe the amount of spyware you get from **** sites.

It would seriosly nerf stuff.
What u think would happen when a 20man miningparty was blocked out of the station and gate in their little deadend system.
They cant log, cause that would what ? warp them to gate ? station ?
Or just instablow their ships, in witch case, 4000 CTD's each would keep
ship producers happy.

I'd like to offer a solution. Someone else can take the idea and run with it and see if CCP will support it.
The idea revolves around claimed territory, which we now have in game but is pretty much useless aside from making the map change colors. 
So... make it useful. Add the following:
1. A setting in alliance control panel to allow a "Parking Charge" or some such in-character worded phrase. This charge would be similar to station docking charges, factory charges, etc.
2. If someone logs off in a system claimed by a sovereign state they are charged the "fee" for safekeeping of their ship while they are away.
3. Attach this to an event on the "quit" button in the game. If you click "Quit" you get a notice that you will be charged unless you move to another system that isn't claimed.
Of course, people will ctrl+alt+delete - kill process to get around this BUT it would be easier to track that exploit (as in, there's no way some guys crash 10 times on one day when they haven't crashed at all in the last three months).
FIX has had a problem lately with a ton of log tactics being used, I'm glad to see some of our guys finally get the proof out. :)

I have petitioned it in the past when people logoff (and even tell us in local that they're logging off before they do it!).
The response is that it's not an exploit, it's a valid tactic. If you can't take the ship down in the time it takes for the ship to disappear, then that's your problem. When the ship HP changes come in, I imagine that even more ships will escape this way.
What's even worse is when you do actually kill a logoff loser, then they petition losing their ship and they get it back (it does happen).
