I haven't seen much competition for best solo pilot.
Usually these days it's 99% about the gank.
However, some peeps have impressed me (most of them mentioned already... with good reason).
1. Zeal Dragon.
His stats do the talking.
2. Fedaykin Naib.
Seen him do his business on both sides. The tempest of his is a pain in the boot.
3. Axel.
Absolutely the only member of PA in a BS that I ever been worried about. He has a megathron and he can use it.
4. Slothe.
I've known him as long as I have been pvp'ing and currently, he has a perfect setup on his dominix and once he stops messing around and re-discovers his old naginata ways then he will mince an alliance.
There are some RKK whom I believe should be at the top of this but won't because it always looks bad nominating your own.
Anyway, when it comes to actual 1 vs 1 pvp hunting in the game (and I don't mean just sitting doing 1 vs 1 against your mates), these 4 people are so far above anyone else I have seen in eve that it is scary.
Not only because of thier pvp abilities but also because they are extremely hard working and will spend ages waiting for the perfect moment to strike.

You can never really say best, but some solo pilots I have respect for:
CyRuS ViRuS from long long ago, just saw him back in the game. Dunno if he can still do what he did.
Fedaykin has been running head first into everything for well over a year now . . . look at the old m0o killboard and you'll see that. Mucho respect.
Siddy can't speak a word of English (not really), and that's even more reason to fear him.
Oddly enough, all 3 of these pilots favor(ed) the Tempest. . .

fedaykin naib goes out on a average night and kills 3 pvp BS solo, but at least 1 and numerous other craft per night.
these BS are solo PvP not ganking miners on belts. not using ecm just raw pooooooooowah.

I still get told fairytales from when Zeal Dragon and Dalman roamed around Curse, but that was before my time in SE

Zarquon is pretty uber, and Zeroh I know to be very good.
Squirrel is ganktastic though, solo ganking apocs in his megathron while tanking the sentries [:S]

i say ioctl its awesome in coc beruthless, tanks abt 8-9 ships and kills some , and is jammed for most of battle also love the way he killed blueflame, he seems to die in most vids that blueflame guy
