Ok. The estmated time remaining says a couple of hours, but when this time is up it says 'Completion Immanent...' - for about a couple of hours more. My last upgrade was due to finish at about 1:30am, but at 8am it was still 'immanent'. Ho hum.
So how does the training timing actually work?

It's happened twice, but last time it 'only' went on for 30 mins or so beyond the completion time. Then it decided to tell me it was finished.
If I stop the training will it get reset? Such a waste of good training time. *sigh*

I am currently learning amarr frigate level 4 so that i can get a bestower... but i also need spaceship command level 3 which i dont yet have... cud anyone tell me how long it takes to learn spaceship command level 3? thx for ure help :)

just set it to train, and it will tell you. then, after a minute, switch back to what you were on before.
as a rough guideline, if your attributes are all at 10, then 1,000 points is roughly an hour.

DO NOT start another skill!!!
I have been completion immenant for hours on memory lvl 4, so I switched to another skill and it reset my memory back to lvl 3!!!!!!
I now have to relearn the skill back to lvl 4 for ANOTHER 7 hours and 40 minutes. ADD the few hours of completion immenant and most likely another few hours when I get back to lvl 4 for ANOTHER immenant waiting period.
I AM ****ED TO BE LEARNING THE SKILL FOR AN ADDITIONAL 13 HOURS!!!!!! then what I was told when starting to learn this @*%&$#ing skill!!!!
This utterly UNACCEPTABLE!

Before switching the training to another skill when one says Completion Imminent, take a second look at the completing skill
What are the skill points? if they are 7000/8000 then this skill still has 1000 units left to learn.
If they are 8000/8000 then you can (usually) safely switch to another skill. This is what I've done during all of release and latter part of beta and I have well over 1.5m skill points, trained since day 1 and only lost a couple of hours of training time through my own fault (not being online at the right moment).

I've switched skills mid level loads of times and it keeps the current 'score' no matter what you do (at least in my experience)
The training imminent/swithc to another skill works for me too.
