Hi,
Recently I have been having an issue when trying to run 2 clients at the same time.
What I normally do is have EveWinHelper and both clients running then alt+enter to enter windowed mode. Thens it's usually just a case of clicking "set eve clients" in EveWinHelper and they both expand to fill the screen.
The problem which I think started about 2 weeks ago, is when I click set eve clients, only one client expands to fill the screen, and the other one expands but the task bar is still visible. I have also noticed that the screen resolution of the effected client changes from 1440x900 to something like 1440x885.
This can happen to either client. I've reinstalled both clients which made no difference. The problem also happens using Evemon to do the same thing. I have also tried running 2 clients from the same install as detailed here but the same thing happens.
Has anyone else had this problem? Or know of a fix?

Try and use Fixed window mode to fll the screen rather than EveWinHelper ------------------------------------- The system issues man. |

Agreed. CCP has recently (to me at least) built in the tools to support a wide range of monitor options and we should make full use of their generosity. You can set the game client to display on any monitor at most standard resolutions in full screen, standard windowed, and the "fixed windowed" mode that EVE-Launcher, EVEMon, and I'm presuming EVEWinHelper all attempt to, and usually succeed in, do.
You no longer need to use third-party software to get a borderless windowed mode client. Even better, EVE can now be set to display across multiple monitors in this mode. I don't recall seeing that capacity mentioned with regards to EVEMon or EVE-Launcher so to me being able to run 2880x900 resolution is a pretty nice thing.
The only real problem I have with CCP's Fixed Windowed display mode is that when spanning a client across multiple monitors it results in the task bar being shown if the client window starts on the monitor that the task bar isn't on. IOW, the task bar is on monitor 2 but the client starts on monitor 1 and stretches over to 2 and as a result the task bar is always on top of it.
