Has anyone else noticed that the chance seems lower now?I have maxed skills for what i am inventing and the past few months i have noticed fewer successful -1-1's using the dycryptors.Actually had all ten fail today. So is like 200mil per batch down the tubes with nothing to show for it Let me know if anyone else has had similar results.

Every bloody week we get one of these...
When will you people learn the meaning of the word "random"?

Before you learn the meaning of the word "troll", I'm guessing. --- Some days you are the pigeon, and some the statue. |

when u have a 55% percent chance of invention that means it is not "random" someone needs a dictionary. phred

even with 99% chance it is possible that 10 inventions in a row fail.

You are mixing terms.chance unequal probabiltiy I have the chance to win the Euro Millions, when I play with only 1 tip. The actual probability to win first rank with my single tip is ~0,00000131%
In EVE the RNG decides, whether you win or loose. With theoretical infinite invention runs, 55% of those will be successful. (theoretical, because there is no such thing like true randomness)

I run 4 accounts doing invention. There have been times where out of 40 runs i've gotten as low as 3. **** happens, but it's always nice the times i get 30+ successes. so it's not the worst RNG, that still goes to Fallout: Tactics. (95% to hit still gets 9/10 failed shots! DX )

lol eve is a COMPUTER game, not RL (just to remind you).
a computer program cannot generate truly random numbers.

True but at the same time meaningless. A pseudo random number generator is, if properly coded, capable of generating a sequence of numbers indistinguishable by any analytical approach from a truly random sequence.

No it's not. If it is coded, it follows an algorithm, which is set and predictable. Given a large enough sample size, you could reengineer the coding and forecast future output. Truth be told, that a good (I don't want to say properly) RNG is very close to true randomness and that the sample size must be very huge - if not close to infinite.
Random.org, for example, generate their sequences from atmospheric noise, which is more random than any algorithm can ever be.
