1. Trust me I was a ninja way before most.
2. Don't get mad, salvage is not worth your ship. Trust me they are after your ship, not the wrecks.
3. Never fire on them; they want you to. Remember, they want your ship. Even if you have 10 friends waiting to help, they have 20 ready to remote rep them that don't even have to be in the same corp. as them.
4. Take their time up; they are scanning new targets fast, so the longer they take with you the less killing they will do and it will annoy them more.
5. If you have time trick them. There are many ways to trick them, here is a list: Missions have grids just like everything else in Eve. If you get a mission with ships that warp scramble, go in the first room in a expensive mission ship and fly off the grid. They can scan you over and over again, and no matter what, will show up at the first gate. When they go in you will be gone and a whole fleet of warp scramming rats will be there to kill them. This takes time out of your day, but if you going to be afk all day you might as well do it.
When they fly to the wrecks, set it blue right before they get there. This takes no time and is somewhat annoying to them .
Get a level 1 mission with ship restrictions. (For example; only assault ships and frigs can get in.) Most ninjas will scan and bait in the same crappie scanning frig to try and get you to fire on them, however, when they return itĘs most likely going to be in a battlecrusier or cruiser size ship to insure they get the kill. They will be annoyed when they canĘt get back in to kill you, but keep in mind that this just buys you time and a good laugh. They will most likely get a ship that can fit in the mission. (Note; if they donĘt leave however, they may get a scram on you with their crappie frig, then get a alt in a orca to bring them a better ship. It will really suck for them when they canĘt get their orca in.)
Learn to use your d-scaner. If you set the range to 100mill at 360 range you will see any thing in your mission. This includes any buddies he may have waiting on earlier gates to remote rep him. (Note; they could have buddies cloaked on those same gates so they will not show up.)
Don't talk to them at all. This is also what they want. They like the tears you give. I myself have a whole note pad saved in Eve of people begging for there ships.
If all else fails ignore them. Remember they WANT TO KILL YOU. They don't want your crappie rat wrecks TRUST ME.
Understand your missions. There are different rules for missions than anywhere else in Eve.
Missions last for seven days. You can always return back the next day.
Alas this is all I can remember of the top of my head. I am sure there is more, but this will have to do for now. Feel free to rage or add to this list. Good luck, and remember, Eve is a game. Try and have fun .
