So, did that extremely important secret code or whatever play a role or am I right in my assumption that all it takes to take these highly-efficient humans turned killing machines is the same thing it takes to kill anything else? ------------------------------- The fox chases for her meal, but the rabbit runs for her life. |

I was one of the first to arrive.
Alas, such was the hatred felt towards my vessel, the Sansha fleet locked and annhilated the TES Celestial Grace before I had a chance to even align to a "friendly" location. In my pod, I was swiftly joined by several others.
After that, it was complete chaos, until our ships could thin out their numbers. Such was the distortion suffered by myself, that my systems had informed me that the Sansha SuperCarrier was still in existance, yet it had already self-destructed.

From the scattered pieces of intel I can gather from my logs before the distortions shut down my comm array, I gathered that a capsuleer had successfully transmitted a self-destruct code to the second Revelation-class supercarrier and caused it to vaporise itself. I will update this message after I can piece together more of my records.

There was two Revelation deployed teh the battle field. One was destroyed fairly fast by a CONCORD strick team. The other one self destructed.

Fantastic. With foes this technologically bereft we need only print daily "Misanthropist, Lobotomized Drone-People Crossword Puzzles" and we'll have the menace wiped out faster than an Amarrian stand-up comic. ------------------------------- The fox chases for her meal, but the rabbit runs for her life. |

Hey now, we have a fair few decent stand-up comedians. They just specialize in racial humor rather than dirty jokes.
At any rate, I am pleased to hear the Nation was met with such resistance today. We capsuleers of the Empire should be proud that we do indeed have what it takes to protect our homes and people. I, alas, was kept away from my pod during the hour of the attack, but congratulations to my fellow loyalists and thank you to all others who came to help.

Ohhhh, as much as I mock and belittle... I too am grateful that so many brave pilots stood up and fought, whether or not they had been successful. I'm not sure there's really anything to worry about with the Nation, but I'd hate to find out the hard way by becoming one of their involuntary minions.
I still think the Amarr Navy were idiots for their lack of disclosure, however. ------------------------------- The fox chases for her meal, but the rabbit runs for her life. |

I know I've stated repeatedly that I don't put much faith into claims of the Nation presenting a significant threat... but I do, absolutely, believe that if they are able to overcome any of the great empires, CONCORD or even any of the popular criminal organizations, then hope for all of us surviving is lost.
The Nation doesn't breed membership, they don't go out and ask people to join. They take people when they can. Unlike the rest of us, their influence is directly proportional to their success in abducting new followers.
When our people die, we have to feel up to making new babies who then have to grow up, consume resources and need training. When their people die, they need only pick us off like ripe fruit and plug them in.
So... I wasn't around at the time but I heard Jamyl Sarum crashed the party a while ago with some big nasty weapon that has never been known to be recreated or used again, but let's assume that it's still available.
Let's pretend, Mr. Caligan, that the Nation annihilates the Amarr Navy, all of the supporting capsuleers and non-capsuleer ships, and finally proves too much for this supposed superweapon and manage to vaporize the Empress as you so desire.
They can do it again to the State. They can do it again to the Republic. They can do it again to the Federation. The Mandate, Khanid Kingdom, the Syndicate, Outer Ring, the Sisters of EVE, the Guristas, the Serpantis, the Angel Cartel and any other government that tries to fill the voids and all the corporations that compose these authorities.
We don't even know whose side the Jove are on or even if they have a side, and there's no telling what they're capable of without access to their society or any meaningful relationship with our governments.
So, is it really worth seeing Sarum destroyed? ------------------------------- The fox chases for her meal, but the rabbit runs for her life. |

I think I'm starting to feel silly and a little to apt to make predictions. Now that this is going through my head and the denial's run its course I'm feeling a bit frightened.
I assumed these were mindless machines, but I know better than that. They have a collective will that could engulf any one of us and make us beg to carry out their directives.
Hell, capsuleers are far from immune, tomorrow I might be the one you're fighting. I duly apologize in advance in case of such an instance and while I still carry my own sense of will I simply demand that I be destroyed in such an event.
I need some chill pills, the anxiety is pulling me apart like slow-cooked meat. ------------------------------- The fox chases for her meal, but the rabbit runs for her life. |

I would hope that after seeing those vessels in action yourself you have come to realise the foolishness of your statements both here and in the Syne com channels Aerkon, we are all facing an enemy far more dangerous than any one nation can fight on their own two feet...your ignorance of this fact would see your crews burn in space or become Kuvakei's puppets leaving no one to protect the territories that the forces your empire are tasked to defend.

I am afraid you are talking to the wrong capsuleers. While our FC's were complaining about a lack of damage being inflicted on the carrier, the Minmatar Militia was happily destroying Amarrian forces that were focused solely on the Sansha and protecting New Eden.
We would indeed have been better off without them there.

No, as a matter of fact, I don't.
There is a simple solution to the main problem we face here.
Since CONCORD went back online after the Minmatar incursion into Amarr, and the Caldari invasion of Luminare, Titan-class ships generally have not been used in Empire space.
It is time to rectify that.
What we need is a counter-strike operation. We need to get capsuleers and corporations and nations with control of Titan-class warships to organize a counter-strike operation. Say a system is a ttacked by the Sansha. What we then do is, in the heat of battle, have a ship equipped with a Cynosial beacon fly in and drop one near the wormhole the Sansha came from. Then, just open the portal, jump a capital fleet through, jump 'em through the wormhole, and kill their reserves in worm space. Alternatively, we can instead have a capital fleet attack the main operating systems in New Eden of the Sansha, and also attempt to retake taken systems. The Sansha have hit us hard, and we need to hit harder. After all, in New Eden, whoever has the biggest stick, wins.

The Nation's ability to open a stable wormhole at will (as far as we know) and move one capital ship through with any reliability is a monumental feat of scientific application. A fleet is out of the question and there's no knowing what defenses they have.
Now, a series of black ops taking what chances they can get and slowly building up forces to remain cloaked in Nation territory would provide excellent reconnaissance and if the opportunity to strike presented itself it could be us who choose when to fight. ------------------------------- The fox chases for her meal, but the rabbit runs for her life. |
