So as a Director of a corp I am constantly trying to look for new things we can offer our corp members that will both benefit the corp members and help them enjoy EVE under our banner as well as benefit the corporation and if in an alliance in extension the alliance. Now benefiting the corporation does not always have to be the case. Some of the neat things I like doing don't always help the corp but it does bring together the corp membership.
What I would like is to hear what some of the things you as members or corp leaders do in or for your corp to unite and benefite the corp membership and/if the corp also. Like incintives and OPS, medals, pay, different activities or events that you guys have seen have worked. Would like to see what has worked out there.

Depends on what your corp does. One way is to give monthly or weekly rewards for top performers in whatever you do, either isk or faction ships. Medals I doubt would give anyone more incentive since they are pointless. Switching things up and trying something new might be away to get people active, do some WH ops, or ninja mine/plex/rat, etc. Pretty much anything outside the normal routine that people seem to be interested in doing. |

1-try and get everyone on voice comms.
2-have a clear direction that your corp is going in. Give everyone a role that helps the corp achieve its aim.
3-do fun stuff as well. If your an indy corp, have the corp give everyone a fitted Rifter and go on a losec / null roam for example
In a nutshell, if people feel that their contribution matters, they are part of a team, they get some benifits, and eve isn't turning into a job, you win

I guess I am looking more for how the activities are organized and stuff not.....we bump miners.....IE something like what you did and describe the event. |

A good 'sociable corp' will tend to be more popular than a good 'doing corp' and will tend to have better retention of membership.

We used to run corp mining events - Mining Mondays - with all the mined ore going into the corp pot.
Even the guards did not get bored as we all talked utter tosh and generally had a good time.
The most important thing was that they were not compulsory, folk came along because they were fun.

Anything you do to help your members enjoy the game is helping the corp. That's a big part of it that a lot of people misunderstand. Happy successful members = happy successful corp.
edit: Also compulsory is a bad word.
Slosh ops are always good. Hand out a load of t1 fit cruisers like thorax, ruptures, stabbers and blackbirds and go have a lil roam with the intention of not finishing until everyone's dead. Even if nobody knows what they're doing they will still have a laugh with friends and kill some dudes. People who've never done it before should be encouraged because, well.. it's free! |
