If I understood what they posted correctly the only part that you'll be able to change is the actual portrait - pose/facial expression/light and those things.
Clothes, hair color etc will stay the same.

I had exactly the same thing and spent quite a while messing with my overview settings trying to sort it out, in the end I just gave up.....

Also really looking forward to recreating the character, a few people have been ripping me for having Ginger hair . What they did not realize is that I created this character on a Mac client and its laggy as hell so I had to change the graphics settings down.....very annoying

Most of us cannot play 24X7 so your extended DT's don't just take an hour or two from a big cake of time, in my case you took all of my 4 hours available yesterday, and 2.5 of my 3.5 today!. That is like 85% of my available time in two days, and half of that without warning.

If you are going to keep doing this, and all the evidence is you will, then please can I appeal to you to rotate the extended DT's so that players who live outside of the USA get a fair chance? I appreciate that most of your players are probably in the US, but throw the rest of us a bone once in a while, DT from 03:00 to 06:00 UTC occasionaly would be nice.

PS - making sure I had a training queue that ran through to Friday PM in anticipation of the extended DT on Thursday worked a treat too! Thanks for the warnings.

if no one has said anything. setting up shortcuts for drones to ctrl 1 - 3 but game already has those key bindings set for rack overheating. but in setting new shortcuts there is no warning that keys are already bound nor does it over right exsisting shortcuts. my drones went ape**** and when i tryed to deagress. my drone control shortcuts wouldnt work and i just kept overheating my racks and by the time a realised it was too late. need to look into that CCP. having 2 seperate actions linked too 1 shortcut shouldnt be possible or at least let me know keys are already bound so i can rebind the origonal ones.

Would be better if people stop making ignorant comments in general, but I dare to dream.
Nearly any program is going to have bugs on release, and something as complex as these patches introducing and changing a ton of game features, it makes sense there is going to be unexpected wrinkles despite their best efforts. The fact they are patching so often means they are working their hardest to fix these issues as they spring up, whereas many other games you need to wait weeks before some stuff is fixed.

Sure, it sucks not being able to play, but I'm happier that they're fixing stuff so when I login, stuff -works-. That is after all, what I pay for.

You're all raving and raging about as if they have continually disappointed and screw you over when you all know that's not the case. :) Okay so a few things didn't work out, so let them fix it. Namecalling and verbally abusing the company on the forum isn't going to get things done faster. Yes, you are paying for this and therefore downtime and bugs results in less satisfaction from you and a waste of money too; agreed. However, flying off the handle and yelling isnt going to accelerate fixing.

As for CCP, looks like the implementation of 1.1.0 and the delay of 1.1.1 didn't go as smoothly as you like, but it's important to maintain a dialogue with the community here. Most of the guys are just annoyed because you hardly say anything except just one announcement. Communication must work both ways for it to be a discussion, otherwise it's just a monologue, either from us or you.

I don't mean to target and/or offend anyone, I'm just stating what I think. :)

Before any downtime, add a long skill to your training queue, it doesn't matter what skill you take out. Its Eve, things will change.

If you are waiting for a fault to be fixed, assume the worst, expect to be dissapointed and relax, it is Eve. Good things will come as a pleasant surprise.

If you know you could do a better job than the devs, apply to CCP, put up, or shut up, complaining about things done by others makes you look like a pratt. Its Eve, live with it.

If you know of a fault and they have not fixed it, again, then it is a low priority for some one, accept it. Your priorities are not their priorities, is Eve, learn it.

Above all people, it is a game, and the only reason you play it is because a Company called CCP is making a return on investment by some financial speculators who happen to own the Company. Their only aim is to make a buck and pay the bills, your opinions, complaints and whinges mean little or nothing to them. Get with the program.

If you have some thing positive to add to the already filled plates of the managers, designers, design teams, creators, server techs, customer support techs and those in HR that are trying to hold it all together, guess what, a whinging blog thread is not the place to express it.

If you don't like what I have suggested, I don't care because guess what, It Is Eve, it is a GAME, it is NOT REAL.

Now go play with your kids, pets, gf's, phones, hair, feet or just watch the screen here and wait for eve online to come back online :) Oh and a heads up : New Patches, New Bugs WILL COME AGAIN! So what? Get a life, if they didnt do fixes etc. you would be complaining about that you cant play this game like this etcetc. For the money you pay, you get a lot of game time. Go do something productive while they do patches.

I work early mornings so I thought of putting skills on untill after I finished would be alright. I log on and find its down for a patch, the Entry on the news Posted by CCP Fallout was at 12 mins past midnight the day of the patch =( Some of us are asleep by then. By all means patch the server but at least give us fair warning to put long skills on, especially with a patch thats had known issues before hand!

People say stuff like chasing $$ instead of making a quality product...rubbish, Eve Online is a good game and you know they try to make it better. Look at the game :) Why do you play it? Cause you love it! Also why o why continue to complain? Put some constructive feedback on here and not cry over time you cant play? Send in bug reports, send in game suggestions etcetc but stop crying.

Accept it: Any company that introduces a new phone, game, update,patch will face bugs and will have to fix it. CCP Does. End of discussion. Now go play with your kids, pets, gf's, phones, hair, feet or just watch the screen here and wait for eve online to come back online :) Oh and a heads up : New Patches, New Bugs WILL COME AGAIN! Some day...Maybe not today.. or tomorrow..but some day...

Oh would you quit complaining about the downtimes already! Sounds like a bunch of children whining... If you want to express you displeasure about how poorly CCP handles things, heres what you do:
Write it on paper. Get an envelope. Seal it in the envelope...
Now, heres the difficult bit... Think! Think if the letter really has any valuable knowledge or expresses any opinions that might be viewed as -USEFUL- critisism. IF you really think the info is useful, then mail the letter. If not, then throw the letter in the trash. Simple, eh?

Think before you write... it is difficult, I know. Especially with internet since today its more about useless brainfarts rather than actually writing something useful.

Anyhow, all your whining and crying were succesfull, they made me rage. Nothing is more fun than trying to read something useful about a patching post only to find that its 4 pages of children crying.

If you have some thing positive to add to the already filled plates of the managers, designers, design teams, creators, server techs, customer support techs and those in HR that are trying to hold it all together, guess what, a whinging blog thread is not the place to express it.

You have failed to understand Time Zones. The only changes applied to UTC are to do with leap seconds and keeping it in sync with the rotation of the earth not being exactly 24hrs, and similarly for the year. GMT is the same. GMT does not have daylight savings applied to it. Ever. Anywhere at all. GMT is always GMT, ie, UTC+0. That has always been the case.

Please re-read the above paragraph and lean.

Now read it again. I cannot emphasise this enough- GMT does not change.

HOWEVER

The UK (and other countries) do have a daylight savings scheme. Here, the UK changes their clocks use British Summer Time, or BST. This is UTC+1, GMT+1, Alpha (military) or "an hour ahead", however you want to call it.

But, and this is really the crucial part, GMT does not change. Other countries outside of the UK use GMT. They do not have a daylight saving scheme. They do not adjust their clocks when the UK switches to BST.

CCP do not use a daylight savings scheme. Therefore they still use UTC/GMT for advertising their timings. If you use a daylight savings scheme where you live, you'll need to apply that to any calculations you do. If you don't use one, you don't.

Yes, testers told ccp its annoying that it keeps jerking when you try to adjust face.... What did ccp do? Ignore feedback.

For a progressive online game of such enormous complexity.
For the myriad of different and often antiquated platforms they have to consider.
For the time pressure placed on the developers to meet their deadlines.
For the transliteration problems in the documentation that would assure that every person of every language comes away with the same meaning...
and most of all for their willingness to take decisive action when it is clear they didn't get it right....I say cheers.

I doubt most of the complainers have anyone relying on them for anything.

If your in a dispute, dock up, log out, and turn on the television, grab a cola and investigate the palms of your hands for hairs. It doesn't matter, it is Eve.

If you are waiting for a fault to be fixed, assume the worst, expect to be dissapointed and relax, it is Eve. Good things will come as a pleasant surprise.

If you know you could do a better job than the devs, apply to CCP, put up, or shut up, complaining about things done by others makes you look like a pratt. Its Eve, live with it.

If you know of a fault and they have not fixed it, again, then it is a low priority for some one, accept it. Your priorities are not their priorities, is Eve, learn it.

Above all people, it is a game, and the only reason you play it is because a Company called CCP is making a return on investment by some financial speculators who happen to own the Company. Their only aim is to make a buck and pay the bills, your opinions, complaints and whinges mean little or nothing to them. Get with the program.

If you have some thing positive to add to the already filled plates of the managers, designers, design teams, creators, server techs, customer support techs and those in HR that are trying to hold it all together, guess what, a whinging blog thread is not the place to express it.

If you don't like what I have suggested, I don't care because guess what, It Is Eve, it is a GAME, it is NOT REAL.
