It would actually be a complete doddle Id bet, You must be using small guns some dmg output is reduced a lot and you also must be slow as **** with 2 plates meaning that the Eagle could keep you as his optimal for 250mm II's and spend as much time as he needed to chew through your (considerable) armour.

And saying the deimos has the worst speed because it does so much dmg up close doesn't make sense. This factis why it SHOULD be fast, not to mention that the deimos only does damage up close. It would then be logical to make it faster, not slower. Plus the deimos has to travel all that time to get in close, and if there is a web frig there as well, the deimos dies, where as a ship such as the zealot has enough range to hit anyways.
Also, the Deimos is the ONLY "tier 2" HAC that has a max speed lower than its sibling. The other "tier 2 based" HACS have the same max speed as their siblings, except the deimos that is 10m/s slower. =/
P.S. fairi, I'd rather have more grid/cpu as well, but that has already been said =)
MECHcore: go hijack another thread or go duel someone in a deimos.

if he was even shooting at a dom then the dom was setup wrong and if he wants to fight range then dont go fighting a blasterdom try to beat a EW gankadom and come back later. once the dom has a lock you dont have a lock anymore ever. unless you have more then 16 points for targetting. add 7 dmg mods on dual 250mm rails and say byebye as the dom can also have a huge dmg output and 13 preators will eat your non em resistant shields (13 is considering the domi pilot does not have great skills as anyone knows domi's tend to launch 13+ drones and really good domi pilots launch 15) so take your eagle home or any other ship vs domi as domi rules in 1 vs 1. the only ship you should fear are those that shoot fof at you at least enough of them to kill you before they die due to the insne dmg you are dealing out and knowing what you fly i might even be able to lose some multifreq for racial jammers just to make sure i can have some more med slots for tracking and stuff

OK, enough with the flaming already. The reason the deimos is so slow (I do believe that was what this thread was about) is to balance out the sublime amount of damage it does up close. If it was fast, then all the cute little carebears would cry 'nerf' until it was made slow.
This game is all about balance. Look at the gankageddon. Yeah sure it outputs stupid damage, but it doesnt tank. At all. a pair of well set up inties could take one down at close range. Offense or defense or a balance of both? its down to the pilot.
Yes the deimos wtfpwns in terms of DoT (imho) but it is by no means indestructible. I intend to prove that when i have the skills to fly one
less flaming, more firing!

considering thorax and deimos are the only 2 ships in game that get absolutely no penalty from using an mwd (with skills) it's perfectly fair it has a lower base speed than other HAC.
Noone can say the Deimos needs any kind of boost without having some kind of evil grin on their face.

I guess its meant to have an mwd at all costs, maybe ccp are forcing pilots to use ships the way they want them used or something, and thats the reasoning behind it?
