It even states that it re-renders the portraits to ensure the options we selected for hoods are applied: "Amarr hoods should now save in the proper state when finalizing a character, and should only ever appear on Amarr robes. Characters that were wearing the hood without wearing the robe will have their characters automatically corrected and rerendered." If you're wearing a Robe, then it gives you the option how the hood appears. My avatar doesn't wear a Robe, yet I have a Hood that makes my Avatar look like he's wearing a raincoat. Unless I'm being impatient, this patch hasn't worked, but I have just had a thought about how clearing cache and refreshing certain bits and bobs so that everything is up to date, including the appearance of our Avatars, so for those who have just applied the update (including me), we might have to wait for a little while (once you've applied the patch), and we might get a different result (and hopefully the result we're looking for). ADDENDUM: My Avatar appears to have no hood as you can see on the left, but in-game curently at the time of this post (14:11 GMT), he appears to have a hood. I'll be logging on later to discover any change.

CCP Ronin C C P	Posted - 2011.02.01 10:36:00 - [52] Hi JT, The fixing/rerendering mentioned in the patch notes only applies to characters who were wearing the hood when they were not wearing any robe. Unfortunately, those characters already wearing the hood could not be corrected as we didn't know what the original selection was. You should however be able to recustomize your character, using the recustomization that all characters received on Friday, to apply the hood to your character. The UI controls have been fixed so the hood should behave properly. Hi Kunniz, It seems that some characters who were not wearing any "outer" piece of clothing at all when the patch went in may have been skipped for the fixing/rerendering process. This is being addressed as we speak, so hopefully we'll all get to see you in all your glory quite soon. -- Sorry to all affected for any inconvenience.

I am afraid that I am stuck and since the last patch on Friday i still have not been given the option to use the recustomization that all characters received on Friday, to apply the hood to our characters. Having said this I have petitioned the matter and recieved replies from different GM's who stated that the option is available for me, now my problem is the fact that every time i log into game i go straight into game and no message box appears giving me the option to re customize my char to my initial choice. In other words the Friday patch was still of no use to me. Can you enable this and double check it is working from your side as here on my end its still the same , no flag for re customization. Regards , JT We are not aware of any issues with activating recustomization.. can you check in your escape menu, under the "Reset Settings" tab, to make sure you do not have the "Recustomize Character" message suppressed?

Ataxio	Posted - 2011.02.02 14:59:00 - [55] My hood was appearing / functioning normally until 2 days ago, I attempted to fix minor lighting / camera issues with yet another portrait redo. Lo & behold my hood is once again missing. Having no reserve flags to fire off, I'm stuck again looking like shmeegol, And I can't tell you thrilled that makes me. I need that bag on my head just to undock ;\| Very first in game petition has been filed, 2 days w/o an answer. I used to speak very highly of CCPs customer support, coming from many different games which treat their customers downright poorly. I was impressed before at the speed / thoroughness of their response, not so much now. This is turning into a very negative experience. One that I will not quickly forget. Funny how a single piece of clothing (or code in this case) can turn into such a problem. & while this is not a major issue for others, it is for me.

Just entered the re-custom menu now , hope it holds , log in shows the change with the hood , hope the game follows soon. :) EDIT in game only shows the desired hood to myself and not to other accounts. Thanks a lot , i will update once all stable.

After having my account re-flagged for a portrait redo because of a missing hood, the issue resurfaced after a day. The hood no longer appears on the login screen or in game. Not going to bother with another petition until this is addressed in some sort of patch notes.. erm.. Wait it already has.... Back to Diablo II over hamachi!
