I have been quite happy with my avatar for the last 5 years. I totally screwed the pooch on this new creator. You (CCP) already gave us one chance to fix it, but to no avail for my ugly chic. Can we have one more "reset all" chance please?!? I am very disappointed with the new creator. Cargo pants and moon boots, really?! What happened to my blonde spiked hair an cybernetics? Do over?

Originally by: Takeshi Ryuu Well, some bright person decided to split "neutral" and "no standing at all" and added two separate options to the filter section in the overview settings, as if somebody would bother to filter by that criterion.
But that same bright person forgot to add separate options in the appearance/colortag section, or at least to revert the "neutral" colortag to apply to "no standing" pilots too as it did before the 1.1.0 patch.
It is still impossible to assign any colortag to pilots that are not in your contact list.
Overview and Contacts List should have little to do with each other and what is the difference between neutral and no standing at all as far as the overview is concerned. Remove the reliance on the Contacts List, this has nothing to do with the Overview, who thought it should? Very poor idea. ------------------------------------------------ Quafe is people! |

now that's a relief... maybe this will cut down on the "aaargh, im ugly!" posts im one of the "good job ccp!" people that *like* the char creator... the asian phenotype for vherokior kinda took me by surprise, since that was *not* my mental picture of my character, but i gotta admit that my new avatar is growing on me... and im confident that more clothes are on the way, probably with walking in stations itself. i doubt ccp will have much appreciation for their entire capsuleer population wearing nothing but cargo pants and moon boots! __________________________________________________ Gravity: It's not just a good idea, it's the law!" --Adam Savage, Mythbusters |

in these patch notes : Build 214371 to 221279 addresses Patch Notes for Incursion 1.1.0
Boosters and Implants
Low-Grade Grail Omega radar sensor strength bonus is now calculated correctly. Using Mining Foreman Links in fleets caused the mining lasers cycle timer to go out of sync. This has been fixed.
I can say with out a doubt that the second line HAS NOT BEEN FIXED. several times in the past few days, either harvesting Ice or mining in general, several of our corporate fleet pilots experienced de-synch, ending up with full cargoholds on a single cycle etc etc
I'll try to reproduce this soonÖ

The creator is a work in progress. Periodically you will be given the opportunity to re - do it as they add more options to the creator menu. There is more info on this in the forums. Be the kind of man that when your feet hit the floor each morning, the devil says " Oh crap, he's up!" |

Dear Mr. Spitfire,
It has been mentioned slightly once, but here goes again. I'm wondering if you actually read this ****. This is the first time I've complained about something in EVE, but theres a first time for everything.
1. PI is still borked 2. PI is still screwed up 3. PI is so borked, you could have left it clickfest before Incursion - imho, it was much better then than the current state 4. PI is losing its attractiveness to me, because it is screwed up. 4a. When I survey for a 3 day cycle, and 10 heads tell me they'll get 42k Noble metals I tend to click Install Program, because I need 36k per cycle. When I then go to check Output per hour, I ALWAYS go under the 42k, enough so that I have to jack it all in becuase I'm even lower than 36k WTF. 4b. Oh and then theres the thing about transport. My first cycle gets me say 128k units of Noble Metals. Pure maths here - 128k/hour = 1280m¦/hour (at 0.01m¦ Volume) and not 1480 m¦ - I dont have a problem making a link that accomodates my first cycle plus a few others too, but at least get it right..... 5. Errrm, pulsating white (or light coloured) unsubmitted extractor heads on white hotspots - fail. 6. Do I really have to decommission and replace my control units because the hotspots are out of range every time I want to restart? 7. Placing an extractor head on a red scan, actually gives me more extraction 8. STOP
I dont wanna be an *******, this is my first time complaining, I am a working man, I dont have the time always to sit and spend an hour on 5 planets to move this **** all over the place to get my 36k per hour over a 3 day period. What exactly am I paying for here - patches and fail patches?? Please get it right.
// Rant over

This is more of a question then actual feedback, i saw that there is gonna be a patch this friday and we get a 2nd change to get the character right. Im having some issues that i posted in the issues thread, and was wondering if for this patch there is also a grace period for the redo. So i can play and plunder true the patch notes to see if the issue im having actually got sorted out. Im kinda sick of making a petions and then redoing something that isnt gonna turn out the way i wanted it or the way i say it on my screen.
Tnx in advance for a anwser on that. Cheers

OK ... it's like this ...
When you are trying to create a STILL portrait ... it would be most useful to do it from a STILL image.
Yes. You can make the characters change expressions and move their eyes, twitch their mouths and noses - all fine. EXCEPT WHEN I'M TRYING TO GRAB PART OF THEIR FACE SO I CAN CHANGE IT.
I try to grab part of their face and it moves right out from under me.
Then - when it comes to actually taking the picture - they're still looking around, blinking their eyes and I have to catch them at the right second - which is by guess and by golly since there's so much damn lag.
Then ... you're trying to drag the choices and ... oops ... even though your cursor is in the choices box - it grabs the character and twists them out of the position you'd put them in. Nothing like getting your character all lined up - then trying to pick a back ground and skewing them right around.
Now ... as to all those eyes ... after working on multiple characters ... outside of the fact that the pupils are bigger on some than others - I've yet to figure out just what the hell all those different samples do. It sure would be nice if there were a section in the User Guide telling you what each section did and how it worked.
The big problem here - is you guys released this tool before it was ready ... and now ... you've got all your users making what will soon be permanent changes with an unfinished product. Thus - even if you fix the damn thing somewhere down the pipe ... the damage already done from exhausted users just saying to hell with it and taking whatever's on their screen at the moment - will be done.
Now here - if you just had a Save button so that you could break off in the middle of what you were doing and come back to it later that would be great. I've spent hours trying to create a portrait I liked ... only to have to just take what I had or abort it all because I had to stop.
Now this last part isn't new - the old process had the same problem but even though they may not have allowed you to manipulate the specific aspects of the characters body the way the new one does - what you could do was a lot easier - and - I was able to get more expressive faces out of the old one than I can out of the one we have now.
Also - there are troubles in the portrait section where there's a stop at which you can't turn the characters head to it's left. You can make it look as far as you want to the right - but not to the left. Thus - all these portraits of the left side of characters faces as they look to the right.
What you really need to do - is fix this thing - and THEN let everyone redo their portrait.
This tool has a lot of potential, much more so than the old one - but it was released before it was ready - and that shows.

Just a thought.... Did you read the character creator thread? Cause in there is states that it is a work in progress and as they make additional changes to it you will be given an opportunity to modify or recreate your character to your liking. So sit back, relax and sip on some rum and coke or good ole draft root beer, which ever you'd like. Just don't sample the soup until its done cooking. It usually leaves a bad after taste.

The game Eve online is in theory a very cool thing.
In reality it sucks, everything lags out, the important parts of the game are unplayable and the non-important parts are the only ones CCP care about.
FAIL.
Very close to not extending my subscription, I've about had it with this unplayable piece of **** software.

When are we going to see darker skin complexions for all? Or at least the Vheriokior? I while the darkest settings for the Brutor are okay, I'm actually thinking something more like Wesley Snipes.
Adding a smile onto your character, regardless of their bloodline/race/gender, would also be nice.
Great Job so far CCP!!

The Incursion is Algintal constellation was down to 18% when I logged on briefly, and there's decent movement in Araz - much happier about this, as it looks like the regen rate is much better balanced now.
...at least for high-sec; It's going to take a bit of trialing to sort out how the meta-game impacts of piracy (fleets running incursions getting ganked by packs of pirates coming in) will impact on lowsec incursions.
Anyway: Thank-you CCP.

I see nothing in the patch notes about fixing this. Is this not a priority for CCP? I would like to know if its even being addressed.
I know you can fix it by revoking and re-applying, but doing this on a gate fight and confirming it worked is a good way to die.
I think you might have missed the point of the incursion. I recomend reading the patch notes but more importantly watch the videos about the incursion. They were intentionally designed with the concept that no bonuses will be used and that all players will participate with a handicap that covers all ships, weapons, modules as well as implants. In short they were designed to be tougher than a C6 wormhole sleeper.
Thats alot of quoting.. lol
Actually if you might not be aware of the issue I speak of... With incursion's final patch, it broke fleet bonuses. I do not speak of the incursion effects. I am speaking of leadership skill bonuses and warfare links not being applied to fleet after a session change. Oddly the fleet bonuses were not broken on SiSi 2 days before the TQ patch on Tuesday.
Yep, the core complaints are from people not involved in incursions, and trying to maintain the normal pace of fleet warfare in 0.0 and so forth. Gang/Fleet bonsues are not working reliably for them. Personally, I've had no problems running gang-linked Canes as Wing booster in Incursions, but just because I don't see the problem doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

large enough fleets with rr bs is what most 00 pirates use anyway or glass cannon bcs with ecm ( both of which and logis used for the incursion gangs) and that said ccp has done a 3-1-3 split with the incursions 3 always high sec 1 low sec and 3 null sec so really the low sec ones are nerfed compared to the rest another nerf for low sec while high and 00 get buffed.
CCP doesnt like piracy or the middle ground anymore

Tried Incursions today, liked it. My corp does wormholes and small gang warfare and that's cool, but this was a great opportunity to see epic fleet battles without joining a large 0.0 alliance. Even made 15m ISK and some LPs.
Until now sleepers were the best EVE had to offer in terms of PvE. The sanshas are a whole new level, requiring something that resembles actual tactics. Thumbs up, CCP
