Hello citizens,
Looking for information on pirate corps/alliance that operate in low-sec, and do on occasion do a 0.0 roam but mainly the low sec stuff.
As i rolled thew the forum i did not see many pirate organisations recruiting.
So which pirate corps are active? Which pirate corp have a "good rep"? Which pirate corp stands out? And first and formost which pirate corp would you fear the most?
Please reply in here or a mail if you wish.
Thanks |

Would be a shame if that were the case. There has to be some low sec scum still around???? Perhaps fewer then in the past but
there has to be some good old boys still causing havoc in low-sec....
Come on gents don't be shy! |

Solo is an option but not one i want, been a pirate in the past ran a pirate corp in the past.....
This is not a recruitment thread, this is a general question thread.
This is crime and punishment...
If pirating has changed to the point where no pvp skil is needed, well that is not the pirating of old which i flew back in the pirating glory days. :p
Im rather dissapointed in the answers so far as i figured pirating was as exciting as it was in the past. Perhaps todays pirates are just not the pirates of a couple years back.
I remeber when certain low sec ares not systems were on lock down a pretty much no fly zone, im sure there are some true old school pirates out there who remember those days and perhaps are living them presently.

As for the Waffles.....been there, had a blast, hated Rotten Ralph ! :p (a lot of fun times and great fills) god bless Tama !
I remember veto from back in the day "dark elf" god rest his soul. Awesome pilots grade A pirates.
Shadow Cartel seem to have a rep going as well, which as a pirate is good. :p
Negative Ten is still around, that's cool. (is it still the negative ten from back in the day?)

Any old INFOD members still kicking? or perhaps Kleptomaniacs??

Nice this is more of the feedback i was looking for, pirating is still alive and well! Im extremely happy to see pirates from the good old days still around and popping carebears :p.
So if you had to name the top 3 pirate corps, which would you pick? based on your personal opinion.

Grog Drinker wrote:This thread will now devolve into name calling and whining about tactics each entity employs. Most of these low sec groups run very different styles of fleets and tactics. Choosing a top 3 is somewhat meaningless.
Also we Tuskers don't gate camp and wouldn't know what to do with a titan if we somehow managed to afford one. We are pretty space poor.
Not meaningless simply an opinion, that im curiuos of. As for tactics, pirates should not be governed by tactics, they simply take what they want when they want. :p

Nice to see you Verone, hope you back in the mix of EvE again. We all know you will :p.
See as a pirate which i did for a long part of my EvE life was not to profit from my kills (it was a bonus), i enjoyed the smaller scale warfare and the tears were also enjoyable, lol.
Small scale fights are in my eyes are a lot more fun, your fits matter more, your tactics make a bigger difference. It's not "all lock, fire, primary dies"
The more i've aged in eve the blobbyer 0.0 gets, easier to get smaller scale fights in low-sec.
Back in the day a small nano gang would wreck havoc on a roam, the speed was epic. |

Im not sure but i know there was some talk of a gate gun mechanic change in the mix for EVE, did it get implemented ???
If not and for those of you who have no clue about the change, well here it is in a nut shell.
The gate guns would have progression damage, meaning the first shot would not kill a frig and the 100th shot on gate would pop a carrier. These are obvious estamations but the damage would increase per shot.
How would this impact the low sec community, mainly pirates doing gate camps???
YAaAaAaaAAaArRrRrrrrrR
As mentionned im not even sure if this will be implemented or not..... |

If they decide to implement the gate gun dmg progression i think it would be a shame......
In all honesty they need to increase the value of low sec systems to attrack more high seccers to that area. For those not wanting to go to 0.0 to pvp without the sec hits.
For the high sec guys the isk vs security is simply not worth them heading to low sec.
But anyhow in my 6 years of EvE and 4+ years of pirating i have to say piracy is the part of EvE i love best, the only part i disliked is the seccing up part when you decide you want to fly a ship in high sec again :p.

To Verone, when you decide to become active again hit me up, i would love to fly with a pilot of the glory days of pirating :)
YaAaAaaaaaaAAaAaRrRrRrrR yes i did it twice.. |

I wish you the best of luck! |
