Please make loading of portraits in local (and other channels) an option. Seeing all the portraits is just very annoying, so much irrelevant information. Please make it optional. I am sure lots of ppl like the feature but it really interfere with my enjoyment of the game.

While I am not knocking your idea, i have to ask...
What do you do in game that the portrait list in a chat channel interferes with your enjoyment so much that you felt the need to post?
I am really intrigued...

edit: also, its possible to remove the portraits from the chat itself, but not from the list of people in the chat

If the channel list in local is not meant to be an intel source, what should it be for then ?!
+1 for the option to just show names w/o pics in the channel list from me.

Awhile back, you had to show info on everyone to search for war targets.. but yeah it would be nice to turn off portraits. I think the only system this would really be a bother in currently would be... jita.

You do no that you can set the chat window to not show portraits, right?
