You are a fresh canvas, Akita T.
Just waiting for the artists touch. A little eyeliner, a hint of color on the cheeks and a light frosting of lip gloss. You will be a sight to behold.
Perhaps a more classic and less imposing presence for the camera will soften the harsh edges as well.

Hey great website. I love the feature of being able to vote on a scale of 1 to 10. Because sometimes it's hard to tell if I simply like or dislike. But the 1 to 10 scale feature solves that problem. Keep up the good work and thanks for the fun website. cheers

Please look into this.
I was in first place decimal with around 45 votes this morning. I am now in 29th place with 134 votes 10 hours later.
Somethings not right here.

you got a little lucky in your first 45 votes and shot to #1, but then things averaged out as more people voted

I don't have a problem with where I fall in the ranking, if it's legit. But it seems a little odd that it took 4 days to get the first fifty votes and then only 10 hours to more than double it. That may very well be what happened. Perhaps 50 or so people logged in today that just happened to have the opposite view of the first fifty.
I'm not making accusations. I'm asking the site manager to look into it.
Or I could be completely wrong and I'm thinking of one of my other entrants. I suppose that as few as twenty voting 1/10 might bring me down that much. But I don't see that as a very likely voting scenario.

It might sound crazy and as hell of a work but... If every character had some kind of graphical statistic, you could always see a sadden pick or a gap in voting. Hence, easily track cheating.

I didn't know its a hot-or-not vote. Im voting on the character creation. Im voting on if the avatar looks, realistic, lighting, background, uniqueness, creation options used, did they stray off the path of the 'default looks' etc. Im not voting if its 'hot or not'. I think that's why you have such weird results with these because your taking an subjective opinion and wanting a objective result. This just isn't going to happen...well with the current setup anyways. Hot-or-not on a animation portrait is to broad of a opinion. You get massive mixed results as you can see.
I'm more or less approaching the same way Emma is. It's not on the same level as the normal "Hot-Or-Not" because we have an active role in creating these characters, and we can make them look as attractive or expressive as we want.
I've settled into a system that looks a little bit like this:
For female portraits: Attractiveness - An attractive character can go as high as 7 on attractiveness alone. Anything higher requires that I see expressiveness or personality in the character, along with a well-done portrait. A not-very-attractive but decent-looking character will get a 4. Sunglasses, scowls, silly expressions, bad hair, or off-looking smirks will draw the score down. White eyes, clown makeup, or focus on large breasts (for females) will generally not score above 3. Males appearing in female voting and non-portraits score 1.
For male portraits: Attractiveness - The look of the character can go as high as 7 with no other factors. Expressiveness, personality, and portrait quality will drive the score higher. Scowls, white eyes, sunglasses, and hoods will draw the score down. White-eyes or characters trying too hard to look badass or intimidating will generally not score above 3. Dark Lords of the Sith and non-portraits score 1 automatically.
Crucis is probably the most exceptional portrait I've seen. It's a well-done portrait of a what appears to me to be a distinguished and experienced starship captain. Attractiveness 6 (he probably didn't have any trouble with the ladies when he was young). Personality +1 (He looks decisive and distinguished but not heartless, a commander you wouldn't want to cross but would follow). Portrait +2 (It reminds me of a military biography photo, done with a great deal of professional pride).

The way you composed it is beautiful and you look shy! :) I don't think you can even compose a portrait like this anymore due to the changes they made in zooming out.

I'm suspicious that theres some cheating going on, or non-legitimate voting. People pressing "no" just to get to the next picture, and not legitimately voting.
Some of these pictures only score 50% of likes, or less, and they are damn good.
Perhaps you can develop a fail-safe, so that if people vote too fast, or if they consistently vote "no" that it will delete all their recent votes, and lock them out for 30 seconds.
Or maybe simply have a cool-down of 5 seconds between votes, to discourage spamming, and encourage actually looking at the picture. ----------------------------
