Incursion: A GIANT let down for me.

Corbulo Typhonius Caldari	Posted - 2011.02.03 20:41:00 - [1] First time ever I'v decided, Let's go take a risk and go to an incursion, Expecting my ship to be pushed to it's limits by the supposedly new sansha AI. Got a small fleet together and off we went... What a load of rubbish I'v EVER come across, No reward for even taking part due to the top 5 only getting rewards. Hmmm faveratism to old players much ? They abviosly band together to go **** the sites on mass so only they get the reward making them more profitable in the game. So much for it being a player experience for all of us. I was actualy worried about losing my ship... Now I'm wondering what every silly little noob was crying about when they said they lost there ship in 15 odd seconds, WTF WERE YOU DOING !? In an Ibis or something !? This has been an MASSIVE let down for me, I was expecting way more from CCP than this rubbish. I doubt I'l even both with Incursions anymore, I mean seriuosly what would be the point, No bounties or rewards, No nothing due to other vets getting it ALL. Pointless waste of time. Well I'l be off doing missions, Something I ACTUALY get REWARDED for doing. So a tip to anyone who is relativly new to the game and is WORRIED about the incursion, Seriuosly DON'T, Just don't even both going, Not because it's hard but because it's a waste of time unless your the only one there with your mates cause you WILL NOT get anything for your efforts, Not even a single ISK. Anyways chances are you will never be able to do that cause it seems incursion sites are ganked to hell will loads of players none stop, As soon as one comes up, Everyone within a 10 jump radios is there. Rediculas. Well something I was looking forward to but oh well. Back to missions.

She'll probably care more than most people on this forum. She might even give you a cookie. The only Incursion related thing I've done is one on SiSi where my Abaddon got wtfpwnd, so no, I don't profit from them. Also, if you would thoroughly read the readily available Incursion information, you would see that rewards from them are maximized through appropriate fleet sizes. Therefor, if you received no reward, you were probably "doing it wrong." _____________________________________________ I'm horrible at PVP

I'm a casual player, can't afford to spend hours on end playing internet spaceships, so most of my time is spent solo or with a few RL friends whom I play with. Joining a PUG fleet is risky as hell due to game mechanics and trying to compete with a 50 man alliance fleet for the end reward isn't realistic with our small numbers. I'm not calling for a complete revamp of the incursion system or anything like that, but perhaps some bounties or some other suitable reward could be implemented for less powerful participants to have a piece of the cake too.

Vim Spiritus Draconis	Posted - 2011.02.03 22:25:00 - [14] If your doing the same site as another well put togheter team, go find another? =) And no, no rewards for not being the top team in a site since then we'll have stepped away from the concept of teamwork and limiting rewards if you try doing them with more then intended amount of players. Incursions are working perfect afaikt, should not be as easy to get to the end of an incursion as is now, and definetly not as hard as prepatch. maybe slap it to 75% instead of 50% We had no problems taking younger players(in afs!) with us into vanguard sites to pad our fleet to 10 members and guess what, their little ship helped greatly =)

Next before shouting off rabble on the forums open up your concord lp log and look to see if you got the reward or not. then check your wallet as concord directly pays the money, oh and was there anyone else in the site? remember you just cant waltz in there and expect to get the reward. If there were other people in there in a fleet already its first come first serve on completing it.

Har Harrison Amarrian Retribution	Posted - 2011.02.03 23:37:00 - [22] There is so much wrong with what has been said in this thread, so let me correct it (10M SP char and I have made 400M running with corp and militia - we are ORGANISED, have logi, good tanks and decent DPS). 1) There are upper and lower bounds at which you get maximum reward. Go outside of these and they rapidly fall to nothing to prevent blobbing - NO REWARD 2)The fleet that does the plex the best gets the reward. We have regularly gone into a Vanguard with another fleet or just after and ALWAYS gotten the reward - we did it faster and better then they did. If you can't do the most DPS and/or achieve any specific triggers first - NO REWARD 3) EVERYONE in the fleet including logi gets reward as long as they are in the plex 4) These rats do OMNI DPS, so you need an OMNI tank. The influence also reduces the DPS you apply to the rats and the resists you have - so you need to lower it before rushing into the harder stuff. <tl;dr> OP is a crybaby carebear who hasn't read up all the information that explains incursions INCLUDING the dev blogs...

Seeing all the greifer action that has happened (i.e. RR debacle) I am glad I made that decision. This game is all about mistrust of everyone. I don't trust anyone enough to participate so therefore I don't. IMHO CCP has created and encouraged this environment of mistrust, theft, thuggery...etc. Now they are trying to encourage folk to go against everything they have engineered over the last several years. They are conflicted...lol. I refuse to go against the way CCP has encouraged me to play. They ingrained mistrust into the popular style of gameplay. I wont let them play both ends against the middle with me. I think CCP should seek counseling to discuss their conflicted game plan...lol

I do have 2 other corps that are populated with the remaining 9 of my toons. I am hardly a solo player. This character I'm posting with is just my forum alt... It's no coincidence the big reward from it is a ship that can only be used in 0.0. And i see you talking about being in alliances. Maybe you should join a larger one that plans on runnning incursions? It's been known since it was being tested on Sisi that Incursions weren't going to be good for solo players or small fleets.
