...High texture settings and lighting works for mac clients?
I must say, after turning up my settings again AFTER using that one redo, my character looks absolutely nothing like he used to, and I am feeling horrible about being stuck with this for the rest of my life.
I was one of the few cheerleaders for the walking-in-stations expansion and have been waiting for it for YEARS (much like the mac client) but now all I want to do is quit the game.

Is this something that people have figured out a fix to? The Eve repair tool maybe? I still cannot use the lighting features in character creation, and it seems like other people have been having this problem.

From what I understand, there will be the option of changing your character at a later date.
I read in one of the Dev blogs about them releasing new clothing/accessories and tatoos etc in due course, which you will be able to include on your portrait. Whether you'll get to start from scratch I'm not really sure.
There is hope for you yet, don't know when though...

Ive been able to use textures and shading on high. What Ive found is:
High settings makes the frame rate pathetic. You got to be patient.
Its quite hard to do body sculpting with the settings on high. So start with them on low, do the sculpting. Then hit esc and set them to high. Going from low to high settings, or going back to low can trigger a bug, making stuff disappear, or be un-selectable. The fix is to go forward (or backward) one step in the character creation process, and then back.
Sometimes going back and forth with the shader settings makes clothing go all black. Remove that clothing item entirely (there is a little x in the corner of the clothing selection window) and re-select it.
Yes, the low speed and bugs make it an absolute pain, but it can be done.
