why does every stargate in eve work perfectly everytime?
i dont know about traffic in your area, but every now and then road works are very annoying and diversions are made!
eve shouldnt always work perfectly... lets have road works...
e.g. the stargates in a constilation stop working for a few hours/days, or even divert to other closer systems.
makes it inventive for people invading and roaming. also adds a bit of flavour ;)
the map atm is so boring and static!

I like. There could be detours, route closures, all kinds of possibilities ù even being cut off from the rest of the galaxy for a few hours or a day, and hey, that's just the way it is.

This seems like a intreasting idea. Though i could see this more in low and null sec, since the empires don't really venture out that way as much, if at all.
Racing to the end, only to get splattered at the end is soo uncool. |

obviously concord maintain the traffic/gates in empire alot more than in 0.0 so im sure that it would be very rare that it would happen in 0.5 and above.

could be interesting. could we also have the obligatory long line of traffic cones with only one guy standing around drinking coffee?

I can't think of a single reason why this would be fun.

How sinister! I love it.
If properly implemented, this could be a neat way to direct opposing forces together or funnel a gang into some alternate path. Might throw the table around if it happens while half of a gang has gone through.
The only possible problem will be that people will be convinced that the failures are manually called and just so happen to go off whenever Attacking Force #1234 invades Suspected Botter Alliance #5678's territory.

Whats more likely to happen is a new option will be added to the Autopilot settings called "Avoid Broken Gates" resulting in nothing more than longer travel time.

Who said a broken gate had to be broadcasted?
Warp around, jump, jump, jump, arrive at gate - oops! Broken!
In low/null-sec, this could be a potential power plant of fun.

Only if we also get satnav, with traffic updates. ---- I belong to Silent Ninja (Hopefully that should cover it). |
