Edited by: Dilaro thagriin on 15/02/2011 12:35:14 Remote Repping Criminals.....
The reason, iirc that this has been removed, was that a nation supporter, while acting covertly in a fleet that were repelling an incursion used his repper on a criminal, or the nation mothership, while he himself was being repaired by logistics from the fleet.
this exploitation of a bug, caused CONCORD to arrive on scene and glass the entireity of the fleets logistics core... obviously, this was the desired result on his part, but was still a blatant exploitation of the CONCORD in game AI...
this has been remedied by the fix being debated here.
though i cannot garuantee that i am entirely correct on these facts, as i was not there, the information (albeit second or third hand information) that i have managed to put together is as above.

1. Address book watch list to actually update when people are offline. Many times have I ran a locator on an offline war target.
2. Being able to repackage items stored in a POS Corp Hanger. Things get very messy and having to take everything to a station to repackage is a little silly.
3. Drone bay dissapears when adding or removing drones. I've seen this happen when using Orca or POS fitting array to change or add drones.
+1 The fees alone on locator services are bleeding us dry !
Sometimes when the drone window closes and reopens when I have a temporary window open throws my overview etc windows all over the place.

LINKY
It has nothing to do with helping out the noobs who don't know what a GCC is, and everything to do with people griefing in Incursion sites and getting billions of isk popped for nothing.
Oh, I'd like to add, the one blue wreck in the middle of the first picture is the one guy that started the whole chain reaction off.
LoL :)
If they have SO many ships, instead of blowing up players, CONCORD should fight those bloody Sansha and keep empire space safe... This looks like a waste of resources.
-- Yea, I know, just a game, but ... c'mon, common sense going down the drain?

Changes I want to see in the character creation: Freeze Button. More colors for the garments. I like blue, no sh*t, I really like it. Being able to change the expression: smile / grin / menacing etc. I can make the characters face look like the Hulk (not green though) but can not give it even the slightest trace of a belly. And I said: Pirates? What pirates would be interested in the few rocks I have mined? 3 Minutes later I was warping back to station - in my egg... |

The translation for the term command center, in Planetary Interaction, has been changed to 'Befehlszentrale' since the previous version was potentially offensive.
Accidental Godwin ? Please tell me !
Also, please fix the overview issue with 'blue filters' (bugreport 106977). The colortags of people in the guest window in stations are almost random btw...alliance members showing as neutrals and other wierd stuff. ----- Malevolence. is recruiting. Dive into the world of 0.0 !

Character creator....
Things that should not be permanent and why
Hair style, I cut my hair from time to time, Hair colour, My MRS colours her hair from time to time Eye colour, Contact Lenses. Glasses , more styles please, aviators yawn. how about some nice oakleys! Facial Hair. I dont shave from time to time. Clothing.
Hell, if so much effort went into this system, give us the right to choose what to wear, when to cut our hair, have a shave. Jees, if we can do them now in RL, why the hell cant you in an imagined future..

Hey,
For those who are still furious and / or cannot understand the change of game mechanincs in highsec. I'd like to refer to a post above which included the screenies of the actual issue CCP meant to resolve with this change. As for a side effect it only hurts those who like griefing / wardeccing with noobcorp logistics characters that you can't even fire upon because they are not part of the war but can still "help out". This has always been an annoying thing on the non-aggressor side. If you want to fight that's alright but make it fair so you won't be exploiting the mechanics by repping your piece of rust up by someone your opponent cannot aggress due to CONCORD intervention.
All in all, thumbs up for making highsec a bit more fair (possibly a bit noob friendly and less griefy)

Doh!
For months I have been meaning to destroy an old clone 30odd jumps away from where i normaly live. This morning I took the time to fly over there to get rid of it and am going to fly back this evening. Turns out that if I had read the patch notes properly I would have been able to save myself all the hassle and destroy it remotely if I had just waited a few more hours.
Nice change CCP but I am annoyed at myself for not paying more attention.

Lol, v true.
I mean, I could send my entire conscience hurtling hundreds of LY in an instant but I couldn't send a text message to unplug that useless clone in the next system? Mobile phone reception must have been really bad!

CONDCORD still has a non-involvement policy on international affairs. They fight criminals, true, but the Sansha nation is a nation en par with the empires. In this respect I can understand CONCORD's passive stance on the incursions. The other option would be that CONCORD takes it upon them to rid us of all the pirate factions, and where would that leave us? No officer lewt, not anomalies, no pirate faction ships, none of the sweet stuff. Could be a cool PvP scenario just having the empires fight eachother, but really?
CONCORD = "interpol". Incursions = warfare. Warfare = Handled by the military + volunteers.

What about the massive lag in systems? with or without fights, why dont you put a limit on how many persons can be in a solar sistem, and then dynamicly reinforce the node once the outstanding threshhold spikes?
why not optimise sistems under heavy lag to not display any more effects since we can't do anything in the blob anyway with any effects? Remove drone models, remove lazers, and missles, remove colors.
We need a simle overview for everyone who is in a fight, that will only show people that are not in your fleet, not in your alliance, not in your corp, and have less than 5.0 standings, all this enabled by ccp for the blob affected sistems, remove all effects from those sistems, as the server load starts thrashing. Make the server not to calculate it anymore, because here is where the load comes from, not because we dont have them on our overview, but because the server still calculates to render them .. i am thinking you get my point!
For the small fights ? oh yea i want effects, but for big blobs? if you display them all, all players will see will be a big ball of fire , drones trajectories, repping webbing, scrambling, bridges, lazers missles.
But it doesnt work, so what if you have kick ass effect when firing your guns if you can only fire once at 20 minutes?
please consider what i just sayd, not that you ever do; but please do!

Update does not work in wine. EXE quits with error: Unable to elevate, error 1
I've tried updating both from the client and with the downloadable patch.
Ubuntu 10.10 64bit. EVE worked flawlessly prior to this patch.

Clear your cache, then check your overview settings.
Done that many times. Doesn't seem to have any effect.
did you check the "Pilot has no standing" option?
If you're referring to the option in the overview settings I believed it is checked. Could someone post a screenshot to clarify. There is two places as far as I am aware. One is in the place in the overview settings that actually shows and does not show people/stuff in space. All of those are checked, and the second I believe is in the "Appearance" tab that applies Icons/Backgrounds, which are we talking about? I have a Mac client as a secondary machine. I will check to see if it's working on there, I don't think it is though. Someone should post a screenshot. I would appreciate that very much.

Excellent idea! I support this, with the condition that a confirmation dialog be added (i.e. Are you sure you want to delete the bookmark . . . (enter key twice) Bookmark Name). Really an excellent thought. Is anyone listening to this idea?

Ok im not really one to be complaining on the forums. Overall the patch is decent. HOWEVER, why hasn't any of the most obvious bugs been fixed yet?
FIX COPY FROM MAIL! FIX OVERLAPPING TEXT IN CHAT WINDOWS! FIX THE LOD ISSUE! FIX AGGRESSION TIMERS!
I can't be the only one affected by all these issues I hear people complaining about constantly.
If you never play the game here is a small rundown.
LOD issue: Engine flames dissappear from your ship at a very low zoom level - This previously only occured when the LOD option was set to "LOW".
Copy/Paste from mail: Copying a mail item results in a partal copy of the selected text.
Overlapping text in chat windows: If you don't suffer from this, login.
Aggression Timers: If you get GCC then dock before the station guns can shoot you, the station aggression timer is not shown correctly
Like the changes, but come on CCP. Stop adding and start fixing.

There's a "Pilot has no standing" option in: filter -> states (which you use to filter what you want to see in the overview) appearance -> colortag (which lets you set a colortag for the option) appearance -> background (which lets you set a background color for the option)
You can change the color of the colortag and background by rightclicking on the option.
