Personally I never had much time for missions because once you figure them out like you did, they're a bit boring.
If you think killing npc's in challenging and fun, just wait until you start doing small gang pvp

Great post, OP.
Mission running with a buddy or two when you're both terribly low on SP and player skill is some of the best fun you can have early in the game.
You'll get better, much better. Most players can run that mission in a single T1 Frigate, pretty quickly.
Keep training skills, listen and ask questions and never be afraid to lose a ship, if the result is a lesson learned. You'll do well

Cool story bro,
You and I have the same mentality about the game, tactics and strategy>gear and such. I'm glad you've discovered this about the game, and maybe I'll see you for some pvp in lowsec.

I was kind of like you when i first started, except I was amarr
I've lost a heck of a lot of ships to stupid stuff before I was showed the eve survival guide, and even then I still lost a ship now and then for a few weeks to stupid stuff. and blockade, one of the few missions that still gives me trouble at 12+ mil sp

At least he's realized that there's more to EVE than just throwing crap onto a ship.
I do believe that both games just got a little more distance between the two.
