I'm just curious- where do the notes go and who reads them when you cancel an account and write a note for you? I'm talking about the 'exit interview' if you will when you close an account.
Every time I close yet another of my accounts (I've closed seven of them so far) I keep writing the same reasons over and over again in the hope that someone might read it and improve the game in such a fashion that it will be worth coming back to play.
So it got me to wondering: where do those notes go? Who reads them? Do they matter? Does CCP care?
Currently my friends and I have cancelled over two dozen subscriptions in total in the last few months or so. Every time we collectively write pretty much the same thing in the box. All the friends that I know of that have quit completely or cancelled the majority of their subscriptions are players like myself- long time players of five years or more that don't really find much new in the way of game balance changes, ship improvements or new ships to play with in PVP.
So, does anyone of any importance ever read those notes? -

Hmm. All of that rambling (Why CCP, WHY?!!!!) is essentially a direct question to CCP with no real invitation for discussion. This would seem like a better fit to a petition or perhaps even some direct customer service interaction if you wanted actual information.
So is this only a thingly disguised emo rage quit?

If you have played for 5+ years with 7+ accounts and just recently learned that this game aint for you I think you have other things to worry about than eve.

You have more that seven accounts to a mmo game that you have played for more than five years and you are surprised that NOBODY cares what you think?
You really need to think about the direction of your RL.
Maybe actually go out of doors sometime?

This guy just wants to know if his feedback is read for a product that he's obviously paid a lot of money for, and you guys just can't wait to chew him out. Well how about having a little sense of community. This guy might be considered "whining" by some, but it seems this day you can't voice anything without a hundred people jumping all over you for it. Some of you even went so far as to insult him in RL and tell him to get his RL affairs in order. What the hell is that? OP just wanted to know that the people he's paid a few hundred dollars to give a **** about the game they created. I think its a legitimate post. Is it really worth the small ego boost or whatever you get to insult him? Why not post something constructive in some other thread or not post anything at all, if all you're going to say is "Eve isn't for you I can't believe you have not figured it out lately'.
Anytime someone makes the smallest criticism about EvE gets tons of posts that are like "omg this game isn't for you! You are the weak and needy and stop whining!"

I'm so stealing that for future use, thanks, I'll give you credit.... probably.
As for the OP, list the reasons you quit, at least then we'd have good reasons to tell ya to HTFU.
BTW, HTFU. I didn't say we NEED those reasons.

People that have that many accounts are not paying any money to play eve.
You can buy plex with nothing but isk, Real money is not needed.
Multi>3 account users are either bots or people with no life outside of EVE.
So don't kid yourself, a 7+ account player is likely not paying anything to play this game.
Yet somehow they feel the need to whine.

Feel the need to comment on this one.
I had 4 accounts because I wanted to experience more of Eves breadth. I wanted to be a good miner (1) then I was seeing the need to haul my stuff (2) found I had to protect myself and I needed to continue training my other toons in their own professions so another one came along to fill that role and then I found I wanted a supercap pilot and that required another account..4th
Whether or not I was paying isk or money for this is irelevant - I paid as did the op.
But you also pay in time. Friendships take time and they are good times. Eve goals take time. If you doubt me try producing caps...
PvP takes time (especially the 60 jump roam where everyone docks up)
And then there is the adrenaline when you get into a good fight, with the extreme annoyance of a heavy lag session when everyone wants in on that titan/supercap kill.
I have had a great time in Eve. And that requires payment. Time and money
So Mr TravisWB, what currency do you use?

I hear ISK takes no time to earn and furthermore that time has no value anyway so it wouldn't matter if it did.
Actually, I'm pretty sure I want the ten seconds back that I spent reading the presumptuous and ignorant crap you just spewed.
Oh yeah, about my sig... you have now read it.

Could it simply be that CCP doesn't see the game the way you do. You want it to be a certain way, CCP wants it to be another way. Seems to me that if a company is producing a product that you don't like, you should stop paying for said product.

Anyone with more than 3 accounts has serious social problems and should be closing their accounts.
Seriously I got enough with just 2.

I recently got an email which referred to the reason I filled out when I closed an account.
Quote: We see that you gave real life issues as a reason for canceling your subscription. We know that real life issues can sometimes interfere with the time and ability to play a game like EVE Online. We would like to point out to you that your character will remain on our server, making it easy for you to return whenever you are ready. We appreciate your time spent in the EVE universe and hope that we will see you in the future.
2 days later I got the 5-day reactivation offer.

Some of you apparently need a clue.
Playing Eve is a sort of amusing way to waste time.
Thinking that the TIME you INVESTED to BUY PLEX with ISK has a VALUE is freaking ludicrous.

I suspect, from his OP it is related to this:

TimMc, Are you saying you can't handle more than 2 accounts? You really shouldn't be playing Eve.

You should seek counseling and perhaps therapy, if you have enough social problems with just two. |
