Hey guys, that event that people have been talking about every day for months afterward, that's not content. Content is some boring ass tournament with prizes. People will get excited when they hear about how you won some space prizes in a space game and will line up to subscribe.

The random EvE player only saw it at one day to avoid going to jita. Then they quickly forgot about it.



If anything, a PvP tournament might encourage that guy that doesn't even know where the EvE forums are to come and take a look to get a link to a youtube video, see when the next match is or who won/lose the previous match. That would help strengthen the community. Sure it might not be the best event.. But it beats burn jita by far.

Burn Jita was fun for us and that's pretty much the only reason we did it. If you didn't like it, too bad, but I can guarantee you that goons have promoted this game far more than you ever will.

Love, Hate or not Care for Goonswarm is one thing, but you do have to respect them, not individually but as a whole, as an entity.

I believe Eve without Goons would be a much sadder place,

they bring character and drama to the game.
