Ok.. Now I love the Typhoon.. I suck in it against PvP Gankgeddons though...
Any tips for setups against these demons ...
Apart from the obvious - dont use them !!! : P
I just thought id stop someone from beating me to that : )

they wont be able to track u circling up close if they havn't got a web(rare in the gank setups i have seen). For added security use a tracking disruptor they work really well.
the major challenge is that initial decision to see if you have time to get that close before you pop. Obviously fitting something like 1xEM, 2x therm would give u more time.
edit: a suggested setup
4x siege, 4x guns(depending on your engineering skills).
mwd, web, scramble, tracking disruptor
1x L rep, 2x therm, 1x em, 3x cap relay

4 named seige
4 named med proj (720mm)
capac rechargers in mid slots and a capac heavy capac booster if u have the grid/cpu free
armor tank the heck outa your low slots (perferably 2 accom and hardners)
a bcu
14x zerker jeavy drones
All those skills for lowering cpu/pwr needs of your mods are important on typhoon. Also your drone skills matter, since the typhoon is the games second largest drone carrier.

I swear by 4xheavy NOS + 4 siege launchers, if you think you can get that close. Otherwise, yeah I suggest 4 siege + 4 720mm T2
Drop one nos if needed to get a good armor tank, and if you expect to be dealing with geddeons double up on the Thermal hardneers and use a EM hardener.

Kashre with 4x heavy nos and 4x siege, you can't have a L repairer can you? I couldn't fit one due to lack of grid (maxed skills).

Been awhile since i used this but i think it still fits - little rusty on the details but here's what i think it was
4 Siege, 3 Heavy Nos, 1 L Neut
AB, cap rechargers
1-2 pdu/rcu (cant remember which), 1 L Arm Rep, 1 M Arm Rep 2-3 Nrgized Nano (or go active specific hards)
If you are within range at start then you'll drain the gankageddon dry around 1/4 your cap left usually, then just deactivate all but 1 nos and pick it apart.

keep in mind that 1 med neut sucks as much cap as a L nosf.

Im flying a tempest now but IIRC this is my frigate trap setup:
4xsiege, 4 L nos
web, 3x warp disruptor
1 L repairer, 1 med rep, 3 hardeners, 2xRCU2
for a heavy tackle setup I used only 3 nos and replaced one warp disruptor with an afterburner I think.
Although you can make a nasty tank out of a phoon if you use 4x720mm. You save so much grid that you can easily mount 2 large repairers with 3-4 hardeners.
And yes, even after the patch I would consider using 720mm since the phoons bonuses are still gonna be crap for projectiles (range bonus, with only 4 gun slots? Bah!), and the phoon is still going to be a high-cpu, low powergrid battleship that lends itself to missiles more than 1400s,imo.

ok i gonne give u a variant of the setups others already have posted.
the best way is to focus on vampires and tank, this setup can beat any standard raven, apoc or mega on 1on1 (yea i know 1on1 is more a forum thing since most ppl fight in teams but anyway)
high; 3xsiege 1xcruse and 4xheavie nos
medium: ab, scrambler, 2xcap2 (or 3xcap2)
low: 2xlar 3xhardner 2xpower things
now anything smaller then 2xlar and u die, anything smaller then 4xnos and the enemy can tank u, the otherslots u can use whatever u like.

hmm when i think of it, it might be difficult to kill an tanked apoc with the setup i gave u, but the apoc would have to focus its cap on tanking so it wont kill u either but armas ravens and megas u can break

Its hard to kill a tanked Arma in anything heh.
Really, you might want to use say a 800mm or a dual 650 instead of the cruise launcher as you'll be playing up close, but nice setup.

I was thinking that too, with 7 ballistic control mods though :)
