Edited by: Savoian on 08/03/2011 13:19:18 I start a new thread as the previous one at http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1409815 was getting confused.
I organize mining operations with Orca support (I fly the Orca) open to all miners who wish to join. I give a nice boost (total is +32% yield) and I haul all the ore. I pay the ore as soon as I beam the can in my cargohold.
Last operation was Sunday, two hulks and a covetor joined and I paid 72,8 isk/m3 (2mil for a full can). The largest operation we had was in December, when about 13 barges (mostly hulks) joined and we stripped completely a deadspace pocket and an asteroid belt.
If you wish to join you have to sign up in the Minnie Miners mailing list. IMPORTANT: all operations are in Minmatar hi sec space and start at 20:00 EVE time. The next mining operation will be next Friday 11 of March. Sav
P.S. Before whining about the price I pay for the ore crunch the numbers and calculate how much you would be able to mine with a +32% boost and no need to haul yourself.

This is a cool idea.
Good luck to you, and that number seems pretty fair for hi-sec mining.

Count me in, although maybe not for this Friday... Also, are you accepting security help? I know it's hi sec, but there are still rats, and I don't expect compensation (other than a nice calm time to chat, of course).

The next open operation will be tonight. If anybody wishes to be on the invite list, please sned me an in-game mail or convo me when I am online. IMPORTANT: I will NOT reply to you if I have to pay a CSPA charge to do so! If you do not know what a CSPA charge is then go google "EVE CSPA charge".
About the security help, rats are not a problem, they usually get instakilled by drones. You would be welcome to fight can flippers, but you better know what you are doing then, can flippers sometimes have their friends closeby.

You should create a chat channel for this. I have a mining alt that could join in the endeavour if i ever get back home from work tonight.

I'm curious, how late do the fleets generally last?

I'd also recommend setting up a channel, even if just to get like-minded folks together.
I added the mailing list the other day and was hoping for news about another Fri op; I'm usually best available on the weekend. Need to refit from scratch anyway - gave away or sold most of my mining stuff last fall when I signed on for more in-depth PvP training.

The last mining op went quite well. A fleet of 6 hulks, 3 retrievers and 2/3 more ships stripped a whole belt and part of a second in about 1,5 hours.
The next OPEN MINING OPERATION will be Wednesday 23 of March at 20:00 EVE time. If you wish to join sign up in the Minnie Miners mailing list AND convo/mail me in game, so that I can add you to my contact list and include you in the calendar invite list.
IMPORTANT: please please please sort the CSPA thing, set me blue or remove the CSPA, whatever, but do not make that warning window pop up when I try to send you a mail, I hate it.
To answer the above questions: - the operations last from 1,5 to 2,5 hours. - sorry I won't set up a chat channel, there are already a few for miners and none proved to be a good tool to organize ops. I started using the in-game calendar instead.

Maybe I'll see you around one day, sadly I keep missing these ops because of other things hijacking my time.
Edit: Also consider putting your ops on this page.

Yesterday evening we had a fleet of 4 hulks, 5 retrievers and 2 cruisers and we mined for a couple of hours. These ops start taking off.
To know where and when we will do the next op sign up in the Minnie Miners mailing list AND send me a mail in-game.

My alt and I have joined the Mailing List. I have sent a link to this Thread to my Corp, and my Alliance; so hopefully you'll have a small trickle of people joining this Open Mining Op thing you've started. Also, i hereby offer my services as a Mining Booster. I have max Mining leadership Skills, an Orca, and will (very) soon have my Implant. I also have Fleet Command 4. If my boosting services are not needed, i DO have a Hulk =)

Yesterday we had the most successful op of the year with 6 hulks, 1 covetor and 3 retriever joining the Orca and mining over 1.2mil m3 of ore in about 2 hours. Miners were paid 70 isk/m3 for a total of 85mil isk.
Cheers to everybody who joined.

I support this service and/or product.
The fleet is growing in numbers of pilots and in quality of ships attending. The operating window of the fleet may expand as more pilots sign up for the mailing list and attend.

REMINDER: how to join the open mining operations
1) join the Minnie Miners mailing list. You will receive emails whenever an op is organized 2) send me a mail in-game 3) REMOVE THE CSPA CHARGE or add me to your contact list. If you do not get emails from me, if you get ignored, if you do not get fleet invites .... THAT IS BECAUSE YOU MAKE ME PAY A CSPA CHARGE TO DO SO.
Fly safe :-) Sav

You need to explain to people how to remove the CSPA charge, because it isn't at all obvious where/how to do it :p.

Say I bring you an orca load of veldspar, jet it into cans, are you still paying 2mil per full can? Im not trying to be rude or be "smart" or anything like that. Im just curious what your conditions are. Yes I am interested in helping you out.

No, I do not buy ore. I run mining operations, so I buy the ore only from people who are mining with me. And, as we usually strip a whole belt, I do not mind what people mine, I just care about the average.

There is an extended op today (14 may 2011) in Deltole. Op will start at around 1600 EVE and carry on until everyone gets bored or all the belts are empty. Miners will be paid 70isk/m3.

Yesterday's op was a great success. We had 10-12 different miners showing up over the course of the day. A total of over 1.4million m3 of ore was taken and 98million isk paid out to the miners. Huge thanks to all who participated.
