Please can we get a return and scoop command added so that the drones can be scooped up as they return to the ship? The new system where you have to wait for all the drones to be in range before scooping is very annoying. I know you can scoop them one at a time by selecting them, however this is very impracticle while in combat. Especialy during the instance when you're recalling drones because you're warping out. So I beg you please add this command or allow for partial scooping like before. Thank you.
Please anyone else who feels the same post your feelings and or suggestions.

Especially as I've always got a few drones that hang waaaaay back, slowly wending their way towards me while holding hands and talking about what movie they want to see. The other drones, the ones who rush back to my ship, end up milling around and smoking cigarettes and making trouble. If they'd just get scooped right away, they'd be in my drone bay happily playing foosball instead of causing trouble in the neighborhood. But nobody cares about the drones, anyways, because they're poor. Please. Give a thought to the poor drones, will you?

As for the annoying drones that lag behind, please remove collision on drones as well.
It's ridiculous that I have to move to pick the drones instead of them coming to me becuase they're stuck with each other.
It's like a Harrier hovering over the sea waiting for a 40k ton carrier to get it's deck below it instead of actually going to the carrier and landing.

Exactly. 
I'd even settle for a "scoop to drone bay" command that scooped up all drones within 1.5 km regardless whether they're all there or not.

Gimme my drones at least a shred of intelligence.
I've also noticed that drone behaviour is not always equally sociable.
If I have 5 heavy drones, 2 medium and 1 light drone out (for example to maximize number of drones active on a Raven), the light drone always gets kicked to the back end of the queue. Highly antisocial behaviour, the acolyte seems to linger at 1600 meters. Always the last one to get scooped.

Ooh perhaps they could be set to attack in order of preference set when you Tag enemies. Would add more functionality to this new ability.

Please CCP, at the very least give us back what we once had. Having to wait on the stragglers to scoop is my biggest pet peeve of gameplay. 
I don't mind the drones attacking without direct orders after the first target, because I've always given them the orders anyway.

It would also be very helpful if ALL (undamaged?) drones used something approaching their top speed when they return to your ship's vicinity.
(It would also be great if MY drones didn't show up in MY overview - they already show up in the drone section of the overview)

get the drones looked at.
They should allso all work as one if not told to do otherwhise not target differnt targets and pread to much out, u usaly don¦t want your drones to spread out one differnt targets and doing small damage to many rather than good to one. Its anying to have to tell them over and over again to attack a single target. Some go back to the target they were allready fighting when they have reached certain distance even if u told them to kill of another target.

also, drones use to attack anything that attacked you, when you first launch them. After the target, or aggressor, has already begun attacking you. Even if you haven't targeted them, nor ordered them to attack!
Go to Akpivem's Sanasha's Hideout, get all the pirate drones to attack you and are attacking, then launch the drones... drones do bugger all... till you target 1 and give the order to attack... dam anyoying

I agree with this. The current method is way too cumbersome. I think this problem comes from CCP's initial thinking behind drones. They envisaged you having to "scoop" them into your ship. For scooping any object you have to be within 1500 meters. OK, I can live with that. But why do drones have to be scooped? Surely you can just tell them to dock with your ship. Then they should travel to your ship and dock themselves.

If used to work fine before. But then came a patch and the scoop command was nerfed. Fix it! I want to be able to right click and scoop all the available drones in range rather than having to wait for one ogre that's 20km away and moving at 100m/s. If I'm in a fight and need to warp out fast, I'm not going to try and manually scoop 7 drones.

And whilst you're fixing the UI anyway, how about doing what people have been asking for since Shiva testing and making the 'module active' and 'autopilot on' lights A BIT BRIGHTER! How hard can it be?
(And whilst I'm dreaming of UI improvemens, can we please have an option to turn off the auto-shuffling up of target icons at screen top. If I've got multiple torps in flight at different targets, the last thing I want is the icons shuffling around on me!)

Nothing worse then moving in deadspace faster then your drones, and them all orbiting you 50m out of scoop range, and having to try to manually get them back in the damned bay because every drone isn't inside the scoopable range. Being unable to scoop those that are in range is rather bad. 
Please can we have a single instruction command option as well, or a passive mode on the drones so they return after completing the previous command. Either that or a drone attack list, so you can queue up some attack commands, and the drones will work through that list and then return afterwards.
Their selection of next target in places like Deadspace complexes is random, and terrible. They can happily pull multiple other groups without having wanted them to do so.

Please, I get sick and tired of the one errant drone that seems to have become self aware and seeks to extend it's time out of the bay. All very well if you are a sentient drone I'm sure, but when there's pirates bearing down on you and you want to leave, stabbing at that one drone that wont seem to come in range is not just annoying, its a liability

Also can we have uniformity between the drones. Mining drones have two mining commands:
Mine
Mine Repeatedly.
Can we have something similar for combat drones:
Attack & Return (when job is done)
Attack & Scoop (when they are in range)
Attack All/Repeatedly/Kamikaze (For King and Country)
That way i'm safe in the knowledge that certain drones don't go off in different directions causing aggro to other dormant groups of rats before i want them to unless told to 'Attack All'.
or how about this one:
Kamikaze Attack - Self Detruct inflicting more damage
Also can we have the ability to add drones straight to Drone Bays from loot cans.
Also can we have another command to protect gang member/s:
Protect Target (from nearest hostiles eg. webbers)
