I wrote out my version of the history of Deklein some time ago. Linkage to get you started. Most of the other people who posted in that thread also have something to add... if you interview them as well you can get a good idea of what actually went down in the CoD/NSA.

Join polaris. or... Pay regional alliances for the "right to report". U aint doing anybody any favours by coming into their space uninvited.

haven't read all the posts.
I think you should talk with the alliance leaders.
Not sure it will do much good.
Anyways my best best advice is get a covert-ops frig with cloacking device II and go to the blobs and have a look.

Settled to be the first global media conglomerate News Corporation is committed to release the first edition of the "Eve Independent Journal" within one week from today.
Also our company launched negotiations for founding [of] the first news television in eve. We seek to accreditate all our journalists to all the areas in eve, in order to cover all the stories.
We ask for public support in this boldly action and we seek for agreements to all the alliances for allowing our journalists to travel free and be able to document their stories.
Further more News Corporation will produce an documentar about the history of all the alliances, therefore we ask for cooperation.
The first number of "Eve Independent Journal" will cover the war in the south, trying to show impartially and in a professional manner the actions that are taking place there.
Also we welcome all the talented journalists with a strong sens of honor to join our great quest. Hoping our company will be in short time number 1 in keeping all the people of eve informed we wish you all a long and prospere life.
Respectfully yours, OReilly - General Manager News Corporation
Blatantly wrong things [non-grammatical] are shown in bold. Typos and grammar errors are shown in italics. Bizarre choices of words are shown in underlined.
First of all, the Independent News Organization [INO - RiP] was the first independent news journal in EVE.
Most of the words shown in italics aren't so bad that they are not at least understandable, but some of it made me cringe nonetheless.
The underlined words... yeah. I realize that english is most likely not your primary language, but if you intend to set up a news organization, for the love of god, use Word and it's lovely spellchecker. I wouldn't care one bit if this was yet another mining corp recruitment post, but as a news organization...
Of all the many pleasures in life, I think I enjoy nitpicking the best.
err.. calm down lol

Could be very interesting if it does work out to be factual non biased reporting. The only problem I see is that some alliances do not always want the truth about their conflicts to see the light of day. That could most definatley work against you in getting permission to patrol and witness what goes on in thier space. Good Luck. |

Edited by: OReilly on 22/02/2005 20:55:38 Hello guys! This is a test page very close to the final version. Take a look and tell me what do you think:
EveIndependent
I would like your opinion on this as the final version of the paper will contain 8 pages (for a start) full of news from all over the areas. Also i would like to have a close cooperation with an english editor since my english is not a native language.
Regarding this test issue i have made it as a model, and the news inside are outdated. However i'm watching closely the eve changes as you'll see in the first official issue of the paper.
I would appreciate some support from the moderators of this forums also. (a sticcky would be nice)
Thank you for your time spent on this thread
