I just tried my first suicide gank. FAIL. I was dual boxing with my loot ship. I flipped clients to focus on the looter after activating my gankers mods and targeting. No booms. I realize something is wrong so I flip back and see the dangerous act message. I accept but the mods aren't activated and bam I'm dead. Hauler escapes. Question: will I get the dangerous act message again? I was fumbling around and didn't check any boxes and didn't read everything. What can I do next time to make sure I don't **** up again? btw can an artie apoc take out a DST? |

You will always get that message in high sec while you are trying to suicide someone I have only ever ganked exhumers, mining barges and industrials so I am not sure about DST. Probably depends on the tank on the DST though, bet you can do crap tank ones.

There is a little check box on the "dangerous act" pop-up; if you didn't check that box, it'll pop up again the next time you try it. So, you can either do another gank as a throw-away to get that message out of there, or try some other method of getting rid of it. This might work: make a mid-safe bookmark between two planets and warp there in a ship with a smartbomb or ECM burst fitted. Once you come out of warp, activate the module. It'll give you that "dangerous act" pop-up message, allowing you to check the box for "don't show me this crap again", without hitting anything that'll get you concorded or cost you some security status for no gain. ______________________________________________________ PVP is a question that has no one right answer but a lot of wrong ones. - Aelana Anais

Disregard other posts OP. What you need to do on your Gank ship: Have all mods hot-get scan res over 500 for bs and over 1500 for destroyer. Have your guns/mods hot: Select the ship from overview-this will begin targeting sequence. Position your left hand on enter key-enter is default mapped to "yes". Spam enter as you lock for insta-fire..
If you untic "ask me this next time" it WILL STILL ALWAYS ASK IF YOU ARE IN HISEC. No matter what you do the warning comes up as safety against accidental gank. Currently there is NO WAY to disable the warning-although you can mitigate the delay with the aforementioned method.
You had switched to your looter but you don't need to. After you kill a ship-the wreck is not warpable for 1-2 seconds. The looter should be spamming warp as soon as wreck is generated by server, but it will at first tell you some bull about it not being warpable object or summat.
If you would like any ingame help with Ganks -Just convo your OFFICIALLY ELECTED CSM (alternate) Darius III. I am sure he will dispatch someone to give you a hand. I hear he has a personal TS server for gankers of eve-no matter what their Corp/alliance situation is D3 will try to lend a hand

haven't tried another gank but i did try the smart bomb and it seems to work. if you want to help, maybe tips on pricing the cargo before pulling the trigger. there is no sorting the results which sucks.

There use to be a website with IGB functionality where you could drag all your salvage over the browser window and drop, in return it would tell you what rigs (or combination thereof) you could produce with that salvage.
Have not tried to drag and drop from the cargo/ship scanner window, but I would think that something along these lines would facilitate the "to gank or not to gank" decision.

You can check that little box, then click no when it pops up. It'll stop it from popping up again, and you don't have to gank someone just to get rid of it.

Only if its badly fitted by a noob who is afk A mastadon has 20k + ehp even with no mods fitted. Max skills, a dcu and an invul will be over 40k ehp. Max skills alpha is about 12k, and that assumes nothing lost to tracking.
