***Official CVA Announcement*** Given that CONCORD has (in my opinion) mistakenly moved the previous announcement to a different Galnet Channel, I am re-posting this within the Intergalactic Summit with some additional modifications to see to it that it stays put here. As such, I shall modify the previously moved posting to reflect a more appropriate nature for the Galnet channels it has been moved to. Notice: This is an announcement. For information on potential recruitment, open positions, and general Corporation Needs, please see here
The formation of the CVA Capsuleer Clergy Corporation: Defensores Fidei
As per Sanctioned by Lord Hardin, Executor of the Curatores Veritatis Alliance, the following is announced:
The Official Formation of the CVA's Clergy within the Defensores Fidei Corporation. It has been considered time and appropriate for the Curatores Veritatis Alliance to draw closer to it's namesake as Curators/Defenders of the Truth. A conviction has fallen upon the Faithful within, that to progress towards Amarr's purposed goal (to bring Glory to God), it is imperative that not only do we toil for Empire and God, but that we also expend our energies on cultivating the soil of our own souls.
And in hopes, that given God's faithfulness, should he bless the work of our hands, and cause our cup to overflow, that the Defensores Fidei may in turn gladly serve Greater Amarria beyond the CVA. Read on for the current outline of our Purpose:
Corp Purpose: The Defensores Fidei shall will take up the responsibility of nourturing and discipling members within the Curatores Veritatis Alliance providing theological training and spiritual guidance. It shall serve as a small elite organization who's goal is to spread God's word and properly educate converts and faithful alike. Concurrently the Clergy makes it services available to Amarr Loyalists and seekers outside the the alliance who would pursue theological certification and/or ordination.
Features & Intentions: - Clergy can on occasion provide field chaplaincy, officiate weddings, funerals, commencements, inductions, sermons, discipleship, theological training, etc to any Corporation seeking these services. - Clergy will provide training and spiritual basics to new corporations joining the alliance thus helping in their integration into the organization - Clergy will serve to promote greater cohesion amongst Empire-State-Mandate, and loyalist corporations operating in various regions of the known cluster. - Black Ops Training
For those seeking spiritual guidance or theological training, please inquire within.
Future Non-Leadership Applicants: - Amarr seeking ordination or theoological training may apply to enter as Initiates and progress on to either certifiction or ordination. - Non-Amarr wishing theological training may enter as slaves* and progress on towards emancipation, certification, and/or ordination. Potential Candidates from the Mandate will be considered on a case by case basis. Note: Either who have received their ordination proper can earn themselves a permanent station within the Defensores, or return to their respective Corporation/Alliance to exercise their spiritual tasks given their training and new expertise. For information on Seminary classes inquire.
Formal Diplomatic relations or inquiries, please contact: - Overseer Kahar Dex - Inquisitor Generalis Kithrus
* Defensores Fidei abides by "fair treatment of slaves" as decree by Heideran VII (which has not been repealed since) and will be seeking certification from the SPCS

Originally by: Epitoth Just over a year ago CVA standards were at an all time low as the alliance had grown fat and some of the core Amarrian values had been lost in the process. Sins such as gambling was commonplace, on alliance chat you would often see jokes about ejecting slaves into space and an idea like this one was shot down as "a waste of time".
This general lack of integrity and seemingly apparently lack of desire to change that was one of the main reasons my corp left. Several of the corp members did however stay on, perhaps due to the friendships they had made, perhaps part faith that things could get better.
Today I'm extremely pleased to see that those who remained have had their faith paid off. I'm not ashamed to admit that I have been wrong about writing off the alliances future as an Amarr loyalist alliance and this announcement for a greater focus on religion gives me high hopes for CVAs future.
Combined with Hardin's announcement and will to work closer with other Amarr loyalist organisations I've given serious thought to a corp application to rejoin CVA. Either way, Defensores Fidei and Curatores Veritatis Alliance has my support.
My particular thanks Admiral Epitoth. Should you feel further compelled to consider re-joining the CVA, by all means add me to your watch list, as I would be more than obliged to commence talks, Lord willing. I normally would refrain from becoming so personal openly within the IGS, however I feel perhaps a small disclosure from my own personal diary:
That we would bring Him Glory. Hope & Faith, be the fire that fuels us to seek after His Grace, amen.

I think a more obvious april fool's would be Lord Hardin declaring himself Sanmatar.
I can however vouch for the veracity of this announcement, the CVA have indeed formed a Clergy within their ranks. An encouraging development, and one I will be watching.

As the first Amarr initiate to be inducted into the Defensores Fidei Corporation. I hereby bestow upon you the title Acolyte Underking. Within the coming weeks, your skills shall be tested, and a spiritual advisor shall be assigned to you based on your level and desired path.
Should you chose to enroll in the Defensores seminary program to seek ordination, your tuition fees will be waived as scholarship for the first student to enroll has been generously allotted by a devout donor who wished to remain anonymous.
Welcome, and Godspeed.

Just a thought, but maybe it is not so wise to categorically call all non Amarrians who wish to go through your classes "Slaves". There are maybe pilots who are interested in your training, but because of the "Slave" title will not take the next step and join you.

Not to appear too compromising or inclusivistic, I will take action on this suggestion. If the term "slave" would propel people away, even those who might be remotely interested in learning of the faith, then most certainly semantics can be adjusted if only to allow those who are too heavily influenced by propaganda or ignorance or connotation.
I shall therefore change the initial title for Non-Amarrians to "initiate". While some of the theological significance of the term "slave" is lost, it can be easily explained and elaborated upon within the courses therein. But I should make it clear, that making a semantic/diction change over to the term "initiate" as opposed to "slave" does not change the fact that all Non-Amarr are spiritually handicapped and slaves to their own unenlightened minds & hearts. That while possessing the ability to choose right from wrong, a life without God at the helm, is ultimately still enslaved to the self (or ego, for those with psychological leanings).
I will step out on a limb by making this slight condition, but the truth is that initiates will still have to hold the same burden as any slave. And that the reckoning of the heart before self-actualization before God may take the same amount of toil and hardship as the most burdened slave. I pray however, that hearts will be softened before hand, so as to expedite the process of the soul coming into a position of allowing God easy access to the soul, mind, and heart.
If this slight change would bear the fruit of having more come to the faith, then I shall feel justified. If the opposite happens, then reversing this decision will be highly probable.

I understand your thinking a bit better now. I myself was thinking along more practical lines. You are after the newcomers to our religion, and I was thinking more along the lines of pilots wanting to attend your classes for the theological certification. You are of course right in that there is no life without God at the helm, although I myself do not feel that this is servitude, more like a divine calling that cannot be ignored. For I say that without faith in God and the Empire there would be no life worth living or?

We are in agreement, except for potentially a small semantics issue. Faith in God is both a "divine calling which cannot be ignored" as well as a kind of servitude. However, it is not servitude in the general sense that ignorant Gallente propaganda would try and have the masses believe.
It is akin to the kind of servitude a loving husband displays toward's his wife. Yes, he serves her out of obligation, but it is his adoration of her which is the primary motivation for serving her (and vice versa). Our bondage and service to God is not out of obligation... it shouldn't be (that is dry, inorganic religion). But it should be based out of our immense love for the divine (true religion and spirituality). As it is written:
"Chosen, you are first before God. You are the True and the Faithful. But in such a state must you hold yourselves high above all. And constantly prove yourself worthy of Gods Love. How can such a gift be repaid, Other than to toil all our days, In his glorious service, According to his will, Serving him always, Bearing him first in our thoughts, Always must we strive to show him our worth, For we are the Chosen, Blessed above all." - The Scriptures, Anoyia's Exhortation to the Faithful
You likely know this already Brother Cutter. This clarification is for those potential seekers out there whom you made mention of before.

I am confused by your use of the word "or". I was unaware that the Amarrian clergy could be separated from it's inquisition. We have always held the scrupture in one hand and a sword in the other.
Besides, Black Ops training can only enhance the misssion of the inquisition. It helps us to keep the element of surprise, and make our appearances unexpected... "To bring order to chaos, one must bring chaos to its knees."

Perhaps, but if a surprise attack is done at the appropriate time, gums will suffice.
Cloaking modules(especially the Covert Ops) are a very efficient offensive weapons if used properly and with a modicum of patience. This is why they occupy a high slot. "To bring order to chaos, one must bring chaos to its knees."
