Perhaps, if PIE Inc are really interested in humanitarian aid, they would consider donating the hospital ship to The Sovereign Hospitaller Order of Saint Katherine. Electus Matari would not shoot at a ship piloted by someone like Sister Louella.
The sisters of St Katherine, being experts in the field of humanitarian aid capsuleer vessels and being honest and hopefully impartial would make the perfect inspectors to determine the true purpose of the TES Mercy.

The true purpose of the TES Mercy is to harvest wounded soldiers, fix them up, and then sell them on the slave markets in amarr. |

The typical confused Matari... spreading their lies and distortions hoping others believe their claims. The hospital ship is a vessel of mercy and compassion yet we see only claims of "troopships" and desires for "battle" by the warmongering Minmatar.

I am unsure why you decided to build a hospital ship on the basis of a freighter. Such a hospital could hold a planetworth of population in it. Also it is very slow to respond, due to its low warp speed and horrible aligning time.
I have found that for quick responses to common crisis a wreathe class ship is more than sufficient. Can be modified to be a field hospital capable of taking care of up to twenty thousand people with supplies for a few weeks of operation. And it is very fast.
The size of crisis that would require a planet wide evacuation? We didn't have those since the day of the wormhole incidents. _______________________ The best thing in EvE is Barrage M. |

We do not spread any lies... Your kind already admitted it in this very thread:
Originally by: Rytha Main The fact of the matter is, receiving wounded from a matari militia ship, would propel us to indeed heal their wounds and take them back to Empire. That would be the most humane thing after all, as we can offer them the truth of God, superior healthcare, education and training, and ultimately a purpose in life that does not center upon violence and terror.
Bring them if you wish. We would provide them a much better life than what is available in the republic.

Perhaps if you paid more attention to context, "your kind" would seem more intelligent. What was said above was in reference to the conjectured situations by one of your own asking what would happen if a matari terrorist ship came alongside and requested assistance. My response should surprise no one.
As this ship is most likely being constructed to offer aid to Amarr and her allies (Guardian Nusak can correct me if it's purpose is extended globally, even to crossing Minmatar borders on risk of being shot), it would be rendering humanitarian aid where possible within that context. It was never stated that this ship would be purpose built to cross the border of the Republic and offer aid there. However, if a beaten and battered (from Superior Amarr Forces such as a Single Abbadon, etc) Maelstrom class battleship for example found itself within Amarr's territories due to a hopelessly non-functionional navigations computer and had several wounded aboard, you can be sure that the terrorists and and their wounded would be treated and nursed back to health. And I re-iterate, we would then offer them a better life than the one they were previously living.
Given the extreme prejudice, and focus on violence and hatred from our opposition, I would hate to imagine what would be the fate of Amarrians were the situation reversed. I think we could make an educated guess however.

Guardian Main,
Please define "terrorist" if I may ask, and also explain on what motives/actions you can decide if someone is a terrorist or not, if you ever come to such an encounter with a vessel needing assistance. This is only going to lead to mutual misunderstanding if not clarified. |

Every life that is saved due to deployment of this hospital ship is an act of kindness.
Every soul that is inspired to devote his life to something greater than self-interest due to be saved is an sign of hope.
Perhaps those oppose this hospital ship should feel inspired to spend effort into building such vessels of their own and deploying them in warzones as well.

I have indeed been inspired.
I hereby declare my intentions of sending relief ships into Amarr space, loaded with insorum to help cure all those poor souls who are helplessly addicted to the insidious drug, Vitox. Think of all the acts of kindness this will produce.
Plus, we would be able to provide repatriation assistance, should they request it.
That indeed is very inspiring.

Another fine example of warmongers trying to find a reason to blow something up.
A ship that would offer medical and spiritual aide to those who need it. Simple enough. If a heathen, non-believer, terrorist, heretic, or any other inhabitant of this universe we all share was to come to a true servant of god for help, then it is our duty to help them. This help would of course include spiritual enlightenment as well.
However, as Penitent Main has pointed out, I think you will find this is designed to assist those that are already in His light. Forgive those who have volunteered their time to humanitarian efforts if they would choose not to be shot by lost and confused savages and opportunists.
Remember that He has given us this mission to save those that are lost. Some may be scared and confused by the idea, and so wish to strike out and reject his love. But like a child throwing a tantrum, the father know's best and will hold the child in his embrace to protect the child. Allowing the child to calm and slowly let the love wash through them until they remember that He was there all along to care for us. Fortunately for the child, there hasn't been generations of hate and warmongering to contend with.
I look forward to being able to assist with this wonderful endeavour.

We have no desire to see genuine aid workers killed, however, the virtual refusal to submit the TES Mercy to inspections only serve to corroborate our suspicions of the true and sinister nature of this ship. |

I have a few questions...
Any updates on how the project is going?
Is the ship capable of long-term care or would such patients be transferred to a planetside facility?
Will the ship have any capability to hold a clone bank or have a clone lab?
I don't think I noticed any psychiatric services. Will you have any mental health people on staff?
Additionally, I'm curious about this ship's capabilities in the event of a public health emergency. Will it have adequate lab and epidemiological research space set aside in the event of an outbreak?
We currently have one dedicated hospital ship (refit battleship) and several search and rescue frigates. We've been considering going for a larger scale vessel like this (though we were thinking a carrier to help facilitate mass evacuations). Would a tour be possible?
I'd also like to offer my services as an independent observer for those who might have a few doubts regarding the legitimacy of this project.
Final question, what kind of donations do you still need at this point?
Thanks,
Dr. Jhary Sylorin MMZ Labs, LLC.

Construction is underway. The PIE Directorate will decide whether the TES Mercy will be subject to internal scans or not.

I am Pleased to announce that TES Mercy has been finally completed and awaits trials. Equipment and Personnel are still being acquired and trained. I would like to thank the Pilots who made this project possible and those who assisted with donations to support TES Mercy's humanitarian operations. TES Mercy's first operational deployment is still under wraps to deter any Hostile action against a peaceful vessel.
