What is going on CCP? Downtime keeps getting extended more and more and its starting to get beyond a joke. Are the servers going to be live at all today?

Rule of thumb when patching...
"patch small, fix small"
A thousand seamless micro patches that can be implemented and removed on the fly without notice are better than wrapping them all up in one mega patch, deploying it... having it screw everything up and trying to figure out which one of the thousand patches broke the game.

no, not at all... Well being discharged from hospital this morning it wouldve been nice for the extended DT to somewhat be on time. However, turns out it has been a productive afternoon but i was merely stating that it was an afternoon wasted in the EVE world

wondering if I should go and do something constructive, or continue sitting here opening and closing the client, and wondering if those 11 people are having a good time....

So if my client is not auto patching should i use that link that is in the thread? Should i just wait for them to put it up in the manual download section? If so how long does it take for them to put it there, because it is not yet there?

Yes you get unexpected problems fine I accept that. It just seems as though CCP go into patching the client very under prepared. Extended the downtime far beyond what was set is quite appauling for a company like this.
Why not just take the server down for a whole day, do all the testing you want and have it ready the next day? Thats gotta be much better than to bo strung along like this at least we would know it would be down for a day and find other things to do instead waiting with baited breath until 10mins before the advertised restart only to be told its extended.... again.... and again... and again etc.
Anyway, gona go find something else to do. Hopefully this is the last extension :S

why does ccp suck so ****ing bad at patch days. Other game developers have the smoothest patches I've ever encountered. WoW has it so once you download the critical part of the patch you can PLAY WHILE IT FINISHES THE REST!
No ccp cant even get what their player base wants right, why should they be able to even manage their ****ing servers correctly
10/10 job today ccp, I slept in because I knew you guys ****ing blow at doing anything correctly. |

if u plan on delaying at all or there is just a possibility you will have to delay just the downtime will be from 9UTC to 21UTC and then if u finish early people are happy :D

Ok but everyone else seems to be able to download from auto patcher even my brother whom is right next to me. See I can not see other captains portraits or use in-game browser cause of an issue with my internet. I believe that it is causing a problem with the auto patcher. So what should i do wait for them put it up in the manual patch section or use this one provided.
