CCP failing as ever to deliver a prompt patch with the minimum of fuss and delay (most other online games manage to do it properly)

no.. but then are you certain your card is still supported? Does it support shader model 3? shader model 2 is no longer supported as of this patch, it could be that ;)

Are you serious? EVE is a million times better than WoW ever has been. The patch days there are sickening and unlike EVE they almost always last for hours past and things get screwed up. Blizzard could learn a lot from CCP in my opinion after playing WoW for about 5 years

Ok, you long time players may shoot me down in flames..... and I know everything is still down but after checking the patch, the client tells me I have to re-install.....
that's just because everything is down right, not because I have to download the whole game again when I get home to a decent connection...at weekend??

Uh going outside is irrelevant its about a company being PAID to provide a SERVICE and not delivering. Yes these things take time but extending the DT so far past the original is really poor. Seriously almost all mmos have these kinds of issues. Do you know how many lines of code goes into changing even the smallest thing? People make typos, unexpected outcomes happen. It has nothing to do with being unorganized.
