Obvious first:
Babylon 5 (minus the unnecessary 5th season).
This is what a TV SF series should be. It's so ahead of the genre that there is no point to compare.
Sensible second:
Stargate SG-1. Although it went off track in the last seasons, was quite fun and the characters were quite enjoyaable. My favorite would be the episode when they tried to close a gate open to a black hole as the effects of it permeated into the base.
More or less random third:
Star Trek TNG
Was fun, lasted long and had great characters. I remember specially the episode going on inside the holodeck with a Western theme -tha't what SF is about, the ability to tell ANY story and yet it be SF by following certain rules. I play games for fun, evasion and reward.-áEVE is not fun, it sucks as much as reality and dismisses all my ways of playing it.
I think that I should unhook myself from that b*tch... Soon. |

And even further back, Fireball XL-5. With a pilot called Steve Galaxy, how could he not save the universe every week? |

Star Trek - all of them Babylon 5 Firefly Farscape Futurama Stargate - Waiting for Netflex dvds; SG-1 was great. Lexx Riverworld (Short but still good) Alphas Outcasts Caprica Battlestar Galactica - Just started and I am almost done with the second Season. GM Homonoia: In other words; feel free to use the tactic, but don't be an utter and total ***. |

OMG LEXX one of my favs too :) ALL HAIL HIS DIVINE SHADOW! ... Original 4 plus the cancelled series afterwards.
My fav ones are
BSG (new) Babylon 5 LEXX
Babylon 5 was on top for a loong while mostly because the backstory was convoluted enough to be entertaining, it was topped off with the weird All Along the Watchtower song in BSG ... I even stickied my car with a BSG Logo such a nerdy geek I am. Inner Sayings of BrujoLoco: http://eve-files.com/sig/brujoloco |

You might want to then, I have the entire Lexx series on DVD from the 4 movies to the last episode with the "baby Lexx" (spoiler).
I have several seasons worth of MST3K along wtih Manos: the Hands of Fate (THE movie that had the bots melting down in the first segment).
Y'know, now that I think about it,. maybe it's time for a Lexx marathon where a beer must be chugged every time Kai uses hi weapon... I will float that idea with the few friends I haven't scared off yet.

I have been blown away with Falling Skies. It really surprised me how well it has been.
I watched a lot of other syfy shows growing up as well. Here are a few from my childhood:
1 Seaquest DSV 2 Andromeda 3 Lexx (yes, I watched it as a kid. Well, more like teenager but whatever)
Stick around. I'm full of bad ideas. |

Eva had that perfect "babydoll face". If there was ever a day women were going to be transformed into love slaves with machines, I think giving them faces like that would be the best choice. +1 for casting. |
