In some vain hope I expect that the original rigs are reassessed and some new ones added. There are 54 rig types and 3 different sizes then the T2 variants. Of these 80% are never used as they are next to useless. With a little imagination surely we can come up with some better Ideas to help CCP out of their mental block. Perhaps a rig that assists in opening a hole in a POS shield large enough to allow a BS through. Or a rig that will allow the scanning of corp hangars and research labs within PoS'es. The possibilities are huge. What we have now is lame to say the least. Anyone got any ideas for new rig types?

I would love a rig that shoots stupid people in the head before they can make moronic posts on the forums.
I'd pay good money for that. ♥

rigs are useful the way they are now, that is if you don't fail fit your ship that is but there should be more mods and ships and content in general

or maybe even a rig that can anylise the time spent in the forum against the time spent in the game and then ban those who never actually contribute anything positive but feel the need to flame every post in a deragatory manner. Like a dog has the need to pi ss on every post it passes.

I contribute.
I contribute my money to CCP so that they can implement the changes put forward by those with well thought out ideas, who present them and put them forward in the correct way.

Positive feedback required. If you only want to sit and flame then the posts will be ignored by the ones who can make a difference. Are you happy with all the rigs we have currently? Could there be improvements? Have you any suggestions for rigs not available? This is not a troll, this is the only way that players can have their say and make the heirachy listen to what we want. Thanks

Edited by: Tasha Baxter on 07/04/2011 10:34:31 Understand that there is a subforum named 'Features and Ideas Discussion', which is for the sole purpose of submitting ideas for discussion and feedback.
If you want to see any results from your input you'd be wise to write it up concisely and submit it in the right place, not just in the subforum that gets the most traffic.

When you finished sweeping maybe you can put in more thought and perhaps contribute more in a positive manner. This is your second post and neither have actually said anything. I drink beer not whine so I don't know where you're comin from. I'm not dictatorial and I would not push my own views against the majority this is why I politely asked for input before I took this issue further. For some reason you seemed to get on your high horse and rather than be helpful be a total asswipe. Look bud any problems you have with your wife have got nothing to do with me, just leave them out of the game will you? I don't even know the guy she's sleeping with while you're at work.

80% of 54 is more than I'm going to type, however I will make it easy for you. Sign on with your Jita alt and check each medium rig in the history tab. Thats the second one along. Flatliners are predominant. The reason I said mediun rigs is that small rigs can be bought by clueless newbs and throw the figures out. At medium size rigs people usually have a faint Idea what they are doing. Large rigs rarely enter the markets as they are usually home made and fitted.

So... less commonly traded = useless and one should disregard a ships class when considering the viability of rigs too? Some rigs are niche and don't ever sell in high quantities. Also, these are ones people are more inclined to manufacture for themselves rather than rely on the market to provide them given an understanding that it will be cheaper since manufacturers are competing / investing in the more commonly traded rigs.
If I try to buy tech II damage rigs off the market they cost me about 3x as much as if I go direct to a rig manufacturer.
Evidently you are clueless and I will ignore this thread from now on.

Cry more, 80% are hardly used, because 80% of eve is in highsec running missions and don't need or use most of the rigs. But the other 20% of people do use diff rigs and prob 1-2% of people use the rigging system to its full exstent.
If you check out PL's old forum leak and look on the fittings section you will find theres a use for all the rigs :)
Stop trying to nerf stuff because YOU are infact not very good at internetspaceship fitting. ---------------------------------------------- I fail At forums ٩๏̯͡๏)۶ |

So, rigs you don't usually use are useless. Your logic fails badly.
Also, consider this:
Let's take rigs A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I and J
Right now you use rigs A and B, C-J are in your view useless either because they provide less DPS or give less tank. CCP buffs rigs I and J, they are now "the best" in your POV so you use rigs I and J, deeming A-H useless. Rinse, repeat, collect tears and whine from every iteration of changes.
Seriously, this forums needs a mandatory IQ check, anyone can pay 14,95Ç a month and post useless junk on these forums.

The post was initiated to glean enough information to make sugestions to CCP. My initial thought was that it may help players yet unfortunately my inner belief was that this forum would not be the correct medium to express my views as it is perpetuated by anal wa nke rs. I should have listened to my inner self cos it's obvious that none of you jokers GAF about the game and would prefer to lurk on the forum like cottagers in the local toilet.

Meh, 80% of modules are useless, too. So are 80% of people and 80% of television programs. I think this is just a universal constant that you have discovered. - sig |

while there is a few that do seem like useless comapred to another rig that you could fit they all actually do have a use it just may be highly specialized, maybe they do need to be rebalanced slighly though instead of all giving same level fo draw abcks some mor euseless ones should give less draw back so it gives an incentive to fit them.

Because recommended fits and market are obviously the right place to check the usefulness of the rigs. I'll study their popularity by testing them on the battlefield.
New rigs would be nice tho, but opening a thread in the right forum suggesting new rigs is way different from opening a thread in the wrong place claiming that they'r useless.
