I think what the universe lacks atm is a big enemy. CA where great at this role. They had the whole eye of sauron thing going down. They where the bad guys and virtually everyone else was a friend or neutral. I could log on and fight anytime I wanted.
Now if I want to fight I have to haul my butt 40 odd hops to see anything approximating action ( which is some crusade of XF in some foreign land). Where is the danger in that? Sure I could loose the plat insured ship I went in and get a kickback from XF council for taking part in a XF sanctioned op. Which means I am almost totally covered.
Excitement approximates to how much stake you risk. If I have serious enemies harrassing my homebase then I got a whole pile of stuff to risk like my haulers, my mining ops and so on.
Basicallly the mega/zyd/morp/T2 moon mineral income streams are now totally safe. My trading/ manufacturing income stream was always safe and I had to fall back to that at various stages in my career.
Which means I can gross loads of wad for me and my corp at zero risk and now the lack of risk has become a problem in its own right. Am I making any sense?
Now we just have little disputes and general anarchy , KOS lists are changing far to often. Its great if you live in the west nowadays. But the South is pretty dull.

possibly, but Xetic space is hard to get to, and you have to go through Stain to get to it, and atm I cant see Stain opening up on XF.

XF is strong because it doesn't pick fights with all and sundry. XF tends to treat its friends well and even its beaten foes with some degree of respect. XF society I think implicitely understands the 'immortality situation' with the pod community.
Essentially noone dies and transgressions are remembered. XF is a just and tolerant society with a Court of Law a Council and a President. Since we never screw our allies or friends our 'karma' remains positive enough to keep going.
FA and CA never seemed to implicitely understand that when you do a 'nasty' on someone who considers you to be an ally you get paid back sooner or later.
Essentially XF are IMO hard to hate. The only real reason to have a go at us is if you want our fields or ore going back and forth and lets not fool ourselves XF can extract ore alot more efficently than most of Eve.

Maybe CA folded because the PVP corps were tired of people coming into TS asking for help because they are being attacked in a belt NPCing 10 minutes after a call to arms. So all the pvp corps who knew damn well they could hold their own anywhere left to let the muppets fend for themselves. The Euros in CA also thought things were going down the toilet since SE/XF had 10x there numbers on during that time, but CA still owned the US timezone hands down and anyone who says otherwise was not there.

When CA split, the pvp corps that gelled together minus the carebears started what from further on will be called "CAREBEARGEDDON". Basically, the parts of the EVE universe that have been largely untouched by serious assault efforts are now being systematically taken apart.
Current Alliance Statuses: NORAD is basically gone with a small resistance contingent I don't even bother fighting anymore.
JQA is getting close to destruction with two of their major corps leaving as of this weekend. Our guys are getting bored considering efficiency was so high in destroying JQA as a whole, there is now a shortage of targets worth a damn.
FIX, kabooom!
PBL, BLAM!!!
FA, Uh oh..Here They Come, Set Condition PINK!!!

There really is no way to get rid of anyone in this carebear game.
I wish there was some tangible thing to destroy that would equate to a corporation or alliance being in existance.
Maybe that is what POSs or even Conquerable Stations should have factored in to. You need to have one of those (or at least some sort of controlling interest) to be a Corp or an alliance. Take that away and you are nothing. At least kill a corp if they can't visit their offices to pay the rent or fail to pay the rent period.
Charge corps a fee for every member they have, if they can't pay that, make them go away.
Corps and alliances should have a minimal member limit to create and maintain. If they fail that, to the chopping block with them. No more 1 member Corps please!
Terminate these corps, free the offices and the labs, send the employees back to newb corps after a downtime. Purge the database of the crap they own and have an estate sale.
Things only 'die' because the people who are involved lose interest or go away for one reason or another. Apathy is the biggest weapon in existance and is the leading cause of destruction in this game.
On the other hand, give us more benefits to be in a corp or have a corp exist other than we can shoot each other without consequence anywhere.

I hate conquerable stations and I personnally would rather do complex's in empire that someone already finished the last level than fire at or recharge some *** shield. Not to mention its like 40+ jumps to the T2 items and market I love so much. _ _ How many pilots does it take to wire a Flux Capacitor? 3, 1 to wire it and 2 to talk about how the old one was better. |

Bah. The muppets had already been left to themselves. While CA's main PvP forces were running around attacking the pre-FIX local in querious or FA or mining in Yulai or whatever it is they did, anyone who wanted could run around CA space at their leisure. There were tons of raids into CA space in which many many miners got their butts blown off... but no particular effort was ever put forth to fend them off that I saw.
I spent 3 months hunting NPCs in CA space and hardly saw any CA people who werent miners there. +++
It's called "low security space" for a reason. |

u make urself looking really silly because of 2 things 1. u still shed bitter tears because u cant forget what the bad bad fix did to ur greed&propagandy driven revolution 2. foe is next on stains list right after fix, so once fix is dead its r turn, but maybe u'd even enjoy that because it would give u a new reason to whine... -----

You know, the reason why SE would not attack FoE, is for the same reason as they did not make peace with CA. They love to have a fight next door. They've set so several times as well.
If they do go for FoE, well... they have adapted then

tbh, unless I have seen the absolute worst of SE and they have a lot more to offer than we've been witness so far, if they go against FoE they will get their arses handed to them on a silver platter, which is quite something as to my knowledge/intel FoE only have Forsaken Empire that are at all combat competent.
no smack intended, just expanding on observations.

Originally by: Wulfgard PA, CFS, CA, FIX and currently FA are on the process on being systematically wiped out by the largest and most efficient pirate coalition ever made (evol, moo, attuk, votf, suppremacy, shinra and many others). It is pointless to fight them considering the odds. I sometimes wonder if there is a pattern or logic in this widespread chaos? Wiping out every single alliances will end up hurting them, production, ores flows, research will be slow down considerably, no to talk of requierments for dreadnoughts, titans.
It seems most of the veterant players have lost interest in building and creating stability and harmony in the Eve universe, all they care is blowing stuff up. It is ironical that since CA was destroyed, the big bad guys gone, there would a little more stability, well it really had the reverse effect, now everyone is turning in to a wolf. And none of the great PvPhouse dares to oppose the coalition of Ebil, the dark side has won the day
Happy mining in .4
imo bob is mad bacause we imp has the record for biggest fleet battal and longest all they have the record is for the biggest blob witch is an accomplishment in it self i suppose |
