There are options, quite a few tbh.
1- PLEX for success!
2- Join a pvp outfit that uses tacklers and fly on the cheap.
3- Join a 0.0 outfit that has decent space. Easy to make enough isk to survive
4- Face the fact you might spend 3 weeknights playing just to enjoy the weekend pvp'ing. Lots of us do this, you're not special, so quit with the "Woe is me" act.
5- Should you do 2 or 3, most corps will replace ships up to BC, some even replace BS class ships if you're half decent in a fight
6- Drop the utterly idiotic idea people have about needing a bottomless bank account to enjoy pvp. Thousands of us fly on the cheap and have a blast every night.
7- To simplify your problem, just use the old rule: "Never fly anything you wouldn't self-destruct for the lulz"

Look at your killboard....
OWN alliance 659 members 311 kill last week, even if half the listed member total are alts that is still only roughly 1 kill per member!! 109 losses (majority insurable or carebearing ships!!)
Your alliance is a joke and honestly you don't deserve to make more isk per hour than people doing high sec lvl4s.

I don't recall ever saying that I was in a unique situation. At the end of the day pvp is what I find the most fun in the game, sure I could just fly t1 frigs all the time and could quiet happily never worry about isk again.
But then again I may as well stop training skills once I have maxed the t1 frigs :)
The point I have always been trying to get across is that people that dont want to grind for 2/3 days to enjoy one night of pvp are pretty much screwed. I cant see me being the only one in this position.

I can't see the rest of us caring. Honest. If you are unwilling, or somehow unable, to figure out how to do it like the rest of us - then you need to find a FPS game to play. Eve is not going to be the instant gratification thrill you are obviously seeking. Might I suggest Dust when it comes out?

Oh I can figure it out, either put more hrs in, buy plex or get a second account.
So basically what I said in my first post. If you dont have loads of hours to dedicate to this game, RL money to spend on plex or 2 accounts you are limited in what you can do.

You have several options to make isk on a single, pvp-focused character:
(1) Just use your combat skills to run missions/plexes/etc. Plenty of isk, and unlocking a BS that can run level 4s (any BS) is a matter of a week or two at most even if your current skill-set is based on frigates.
(2) Planetary Interaction gives you a steady income with half an hour or so of clicking per day. Not huge, but decent cash-flow. Takes a similar time period (a week or so) of training to get it running.
(3) Take a half-hour out of your manly, honorable fight-seeking PvP to gank an unsuspecting hauler/miner and steal their expensive stuff to sell. If you're only flying a couple hours a day it's not like you'll need more than occasional isk infusions to keep yourself supplied with ships.
(4) Exploration doesn't take long, relies on combat skills, and has high returns when you can find things (which isn't always). Do it in 0.0 and you're talking 20, 30m per site. Fair warning: getting decent at this takes somewhat longer than the other options, maybe two, three weeks for the skills and a month to get the feel of it.
(5) PvP as something suicidal/sacrificial that gets replaced form corp funds. Be a fleet interdictor, maybe? ---

You can play just fine with 1 account if you dont fly capitals. Even if you rarely use capitals and/or are in active corp you might get away with 1 account.
I ofc have more than 1 account. It's serious business game afterall and one account has only 3 slots.

Well....I'll be damned if I'm paying for a second account or buying PLEX just to play a game. At that point it becomes no better than F2P, except worse because its a F2P game you have to pay a monthly fee to pay.
I keep it cheap, I normally fly battlecruisers that can be replaced in a few hours of ratting, and are still worth insuring. Soon I can fly stealth bombers, which are equally cheap but not insurable....it will be interesting to see if I can keep up with those ship losses.

1) Fly cheaper ships 2) Look for corp with replacement policy 3) Become better and don't die so much 4) Fly only what you can afford to lose 5) Stop using "I have no time, I'm a dad" bullschit excuse, you want cool ships and you wished they would respawn 6) Make jump clone in Empire for passive-isk making opportunities like industry, R&D, trading, refining, etc 7) This is an MMO, not an FPS

You got to love the hostility on these forums :)
Btw, having kids is not a bs excuse, its the reason I cant sit and rat or do lvl 4's all day long.

Now I know you are just trolling. No one was hostile to you and no one said being a parent was a bs excuse. I said it was irrelevant to the situation. But you keep on lingering this troll thread out. Get your jollies for what it is worth.

One char here living in 0.0 almost since I started playing (went there after 3-4 months) and I fly a capital. I enjoy pvp (one of the most active of my corp) and I pay eve with isk for most of the time so yes you can do it. -------------

CAN you play EVE without an alt ? Sure you can. Does an alt make some things a bit easier ? Yes it does.
That's all that needs to be said. _

Well you can still ghost data cores.
So make a research char and let it sit. Throw a plex at it once a year to collect them and you have a few billion to play with on your real character.

I've played this game for six years with one account. I have my untrained alts in various places to check market and that's about it (they aren't needed for anything important, really).
Maybe what you should be asking is "can EVE be played without a highly specialized character that cannot do more than one thing"? To which I would answer yes. Train what you want, fly what you want, and don't overcommit to specialization. It's nice to be highly trained in one combat ship for PvE or something but generally level 4 skills are sufficient (outside of critical support skills like engineering, electronics, etc).
Why would you think you need an alt for PvP anyway?
Oh yeah, about my sig... you have now read it.

Stop copying "best" battleclinic fancy fits and put cost into the equation when you fit a ship like you're meant to. No matter what you make/hour you can afford to PvP in something.
This is all a matter of flying what you can afford to lose and it's not even deserving of serious reply. Suddenly every nullbear thinks they should be the exception to the First Rule of Eve.

you either want losses to mean something....or you dont if losses become meaningless this game lost its biggest draw
if you want your losses to become meaningless, but others keep their meaning... get better at pvp

you can still play with a single toon but your pvp enjoyment will be cut fairly short as your grind time has just increased by a fair amount. or just buy GTC's which is the real reason CCP nerfed sanctums anyway, there quoted reasoning we all know is just corporate fodder speak.

2 suggestions
1. FW missions. the lvl 4s are easy, fast (can do a few in a couple of hours), and pay off insane amounts of LPs. just sign yourself or your corp up for your favourite militia and run them whenever you feel like it. you don't have to do anything at all. and you'll get a few hundred free pvp targets.
2. plex. not really the same, but for a grown up with a family and a real job 35 USD every now and then isn't a whole lot compared to going to the pub or whatever. I have 2 accounts, but also 2 kids, so I buy plexes every now and then.

I also refuse to buy a second "alt" account, just because I don't think you should have to. My principles hurt my ability to do some things in game though, admittedly. I think it's a shame CCP went down that road. However, I do realize its my own choices holding me back.
