Nope, I always have background noise from another source, I never have game sounds on. I don't like having two sources of sound at once, so I don't mix them.

N but for compatibility issues under linux, no crash since Wine doesn't even know I have a soundcard.

Though i do ocasionaly turn it on for the music when i feel like it. When playing eve, missioning, ratting i usualy listen to audio books. It is a good way to break the boredoom. Just finished with Harry Potter series, and moving on The dark Tower by Stephen King. :)

Eve Music is terrible and the sound effects are pretty lacklustre and often poorly synched.

No offense but you really need to look up what the words 'confirm' and 'fact' really mean. All I saw was them locking the thread as a duplicate, not confirming what you call a fact. I agree that sound can be buggy at times, but firing yourself up into a sarcastic froth is kind of weird.

Why is this a discussion? They fixed the turret sounds and everything back in Tyrannis, It's been working absoloutly perfectly since then. I even made a thread about it, though I'll be damned if I can find it.
There's nothing wrong with the Eve sound. This joke is old and tired, and it's also no longer true.
